I was amazed when I found out this guy. It's been a long time since we had a musician that is something else than just good hums. He is a life force. His music is really inspiring. Freetown is the capital of Sierra Leone...I think "fire in Freetown" is analogous to a raging conflagration, which for me in this song is a type of love. Whether the analogy is love for Somalia, a woman, or even an addiction, I think it's about love...replete with pleasure, pain, resistance and submission.

Incidentally, "Sidii Hogosha Roobka" is a classic Somali song, performed by Faadumo Maandeeq. I have no idea what the translation is beyond the title, but I feel that the message is similar.
