well, I do think that if kids shoot their classmates because they don't "understand" the death is something of irreversible, the cause is also things like this one. Road Runner was pretty smart in this one. Blew away the sleeping gas, turned out of the way of the bullets, and ducked under the chair to misdirect the RC plane.

OMG, Terrible. The gags are pat (largely recycled, and/or poorly homaged), the musical direction is painful and insulting, and the animation is a pale reflection of the stuff done just 20 years earlier. It's clear that the budgets to make the good cartoons had taken a major hit by the time this one was made. What's the difference? They started having to make cartoons for TV, more quickly, on a more limited budget. This is marginally better than the tripe Hanna-Barbara was making around then.

The problem with the cartoon channels is that they tried to modernize Tom & Jerry, The Pink Panther and Scooby Doo, and failed on every account. The modern episodes are just crap compared with the classics; not showing the classics any more was a stupid move. The other shows they've got on aren't even worth mentioning.
