Omg... That's all raw egg in that pitcher? All this time I thought that was orange juice... Kept thinking to myself, eww why would they add egg to orange juice... Gross! LOL
lyle, livin the good life, eatin steak and eggs every day, enjoying the sun and gettin tan. Finding arrowheads, I wouldn't be surprised if he could afford the "fun pack"!
What the freak is the old guy saying. "over there, a guy kicked me so I hold him, and kill his self on a yellow hen" I think this guy's confessing to a murder!!!!!!!!! hahaha
this movie is even more brilliant and funny if you are actually from Idaho..... yeah, you don't ever really need to go to that part of the state :-) by the way, the guy says, "Over there in that creek bed, I found a couple Shoshonie arrowheads." The Shoshone Indian tribe were in Idaho; part of the egg thing is just the fact that it's a chicken farm so that's what they have available
How much dope do you have to smoke to think this movie is awesome? There is no underlying genius. Just a bunch of random, slowly developing scenes, with no particular plot or purpose in mind -- simply showing laughable quirks in this manner is not genius. We already have that, it's called real life. This movie sucked something awful.
@roadrage06 you make some good points. Not everyone is going to find this movie funny and Napoleon Dynamite is no Citizen Kane. But I feel bad for you because by approaching this movie as a pompous film critic, as a supposedly shrewd observer of life, you missed out on simply having fun. Also, shouldn't a good movie emulate real life? What do you say Pablo?
PS It took 1/2 pound of dope for me to find this movie so awesome.
I disagree with the original post. There's an absolute stack of stuff of stuff going on in this scene. If you don't or can't see that, then you're really missing the point. The kind of thing you say indicates you watch films for these cues without actually watching the film. Watch a film for what it is first, and then go back and analyse it with film studies diplomas if you must. but remember, filmcritics often get it wrong.
I am not high at this moment in time. (starts rolling...)
lol, you remind me of cartman when he's criticizing Family Guy. The movie is just funny because it does a brilliant job of depicting the awkward behavior and the uneventful lives of socially inept, naive dorks like Napoleon. He fits the profile of many nerds I've known, especially back and highschool, so I think that's why people connect to the movie.
That's the whole point. The whole charm to the movie was because it was pointless. The "actual" plot came in when Pedro wants to be president doesn't even start till like halfway into the movie and it was not a huge plot either. The "random, slowly developing scenes" was what this movie was about. To bring you into the life of an awkward teen which they captured very humorously. The movie is known for having pointless scenes but that's what made it lovable and funny.
@roadrage06 It should then occur to you, that maybe it's just you that is not understanding something that a whole lot of other people are understanding. Or that you simply have a different taste than the people who like it.
@roadrage06 Sometimes you just gotta pull that stick outta your ass and not take shit too seriously . This show was funny because everyone in it is a complete douche .
@roadrage06 the hidden message is everyone finds love, this is a every day boy doing normal things. Its real life you see here, there is no science fiction or high special effects, just simple scenes with normal things that you and me do every day.
Thats the plot, because you find it horrible doesn't mean that it is a fact.
@roadrage06 Many times in life normal things amuse me. A video of these things might not be a masterpiece but it's interesting for me. Oh and just to let you know every film in one way or another is based on REAL LIFE.
Dudes- read the early comments below. @elguapotetigre was the first to decode it for the Squire. "OVER THERE IN THAT PIGPEN I FOUND A COUPLE OF SHOSHONI ARROWHEADS"
@ccjj160 Your question symbolizes the complexity of this scene. The visual similarity between orange juice and whipped raw eggs is interesting enough- and is further reflected in the audio track which synced each bite of egg or unknown sandwich with an animal crying out (presumably in slaughter). Then you have to factor in the mumbled injection of native american artifactual data, casual perhaps, but oh so significant. Yes, indeed. A fine question you ask.
@hsdscsds hahaha wow defensive much. Just thinking you must be really stupid if you need to try and prove yourself in a comment on napoleon dynamite xD good job now the world knows how truely intelligent you are (;
@MadAboutHatter I'm not trying to prove my intelligence. My intelligence is legendary across multiple dimensions of time, space and in 3 quadrants of phlegm. I'm only trying to prove that you, U, are a doody head.
@MadAboutHatter no, I mean yes, no, affirmative, what, yes, is that you Norman? Norman? Oh crap, Norman is dead. You killed Norman. @MadAboutHatter killed Norman.
