A-Loo-Mini-Umm... I laugh every time I hear it pronounced that way. Yes it is correct in Europe but in North America it is: A-Loo-Min-Um (No "mini") Oh the Queen's English.
I wish the subtitles were in English because it's annoying that the survivors are speaking Spanish while the translator is speaking in English at the same time. It's hard to understand.
the percentage of oxygen is 20.93% at all sea levels, its the partial pressure of air at 13,000ft which is different and makes it more difficult to breathe. I am assuming it is the partial pressure of air that would put the fire out. Regardless, they did it successfully. :)
Even if they had stuff to burn...how do you figure they start a fire? The engines are both completely destroyed. The oxygen on the mountains is very very low. Use some comon sense...
to you people who are saying WHY and WHY, you have no clue what these guys went throgh so shut the fuck up morons and dont act like smart asses coz you are not!
Why did they not pee on sum jar. Put another jar of snow on top and the steam of the pee would have melted sum of the snow away. And if the wanted to have been spotted on the first place why did they not use sum of the blood from the dead and made a huge visible SOS sign. I mean it is painfully inhuman but less inhuman than cannibalism.
also they could have used sum of the battery acids combined with the plane seat materials to make sum fire to melt snow, make a signal, and warm their bodies.
There would have been too much blowing snow and blizzards that would have covered up the blood pretty quickly. And it would have been harder than it sounds as most of the people's blood would have frozen almost immediately after death.
They didn't even have enough energy to move their asses, let alone extract the frozen blood of the survivors and make a gigantic SOS sign. The plane looked like a speck of dust from high up in the air, so their chances of being seen were really small even with a signal.
@Bcboi92 Hell yeah.! lets make a big fucking bonfire in the middle of the fucking Andes with a couple of suitcases and a couple lighters, I am sure that's gonna get huge with the wind raping asses from all directions, that along with the freaking humidity in the air, I'm sure that's gonna boost it all up. I mean yeah why not? let's make a fucking barbecue out too!.
@LifelineStudios Yeah but that didnt happen until they found the tail if im correct. Usually they just burned money and a few other minor flamable objects. In Nandos book he said they burned something like 7 thousand dollars in paper money. Fires were extremely rare.
and what do you burn when you use up the few precious materials from the plane? Their in the middle of the Andes, there are no trees or fuel to burn. Watch who your calling a thick cunt.
What survival experts say is dont eat snow (bc hypothermia). Instead, get a sock or cloth, wrap the snow in the sock/cloth, then wait for parts to melt. then suck on the sock to get the melted water from it. Obv yu need SOME heat maybe was freezing temp. even inside the plane
The edit out the parts about the canibalism. Way to go uploader. The most crucial part of the documentary that would allow the viewer to understand and appreciate what they went thru.

i know, so annoying aye. I like listenin to this shit but I cant get the information if i cant hear the guy speaking [obviously] but its fuked how it cuts out like right when its startin to get really interestin!!!
Nando wasn't studying the maps (at least, he wasn't the one who spent the most time doing it), but the conversation with Carlitos (and other conversations Nando and Carlitos had at night) was reported, pretty much exactly as stated in the documentary, in the book "ALIVE" (Chapter 1, section 8).
That book was based on extensive interviews with the 16 survivors and considered by them to be accurate.
Documentary is Latin for Dramatization, didn't you know that, John Walsh? Nobody would know the real truth unless you were actually there, just enjoy the show!
A good documentary to watch would be "Stranded" , is more accurate

nothing inhuman about struggling to survive. wait till you are in that situation. fucking judging people, you don't have a clue
83UtrechtNL 2 years ago 5
@coolmaniam2 They were going to make an SOS sign with lipstick and nail polish but it would have been almost invisible to any planes.

How does one "done" a comment. That really makes no sense. You really have to work on your communication skills or I might rape you.

No, it wasn't Nando who was studying the maps. Nando didn't confide in Carlitos at night time. This documentary is all wrong.

I just said that Nando didn't take it upon himself to study the maps...
There's also no need to cite the book as a source, given that I've read it 3 times.
