Nice airline, just flew home from alicante airport with them !! 10/10 service, murcia aka ryanairs alicante just miles away, i think ill choose aerlingus from now, great service on board, and also the crew actually care, not just about your money, but you !!!

Its great to see AL in Belfast and doing well - flew to Barcelona and London Heathrow from Belfast and both planes were packed to the rafters, I sure that Belfast route is going to be a busy one - well done and all the best of success

Your comments are wrong on a few points:

1.The point was that Aer Lingus fly to central airports unlike many Ryanair routes.

2. Aer Lingus seat sales are exactly that...One million people booked flights with Aer Lingus during their January sale.

3. Aer Lingus offer a product that matches and exceeds it's transatlantic rivals. Aer Lingus also offer on average lower transatlantic fares.

4. It's rarely the case that Aer Lingus is usually twice as expensive as Ryanair.

Yeah BUT ryanair JUST SUCKS. People that fly ryanair are stupid. U get treated like sh1t at ryanair and ryanair cabin crew are not qualifed. One near plane crash proves it. Possibly but aviation was going this way.Ryan air did bring is horrendous customer service and until recently aircraft that where highly questionable with regard to their safety.I guess they do provide a market requirement for general public and companies that do not value their employees that have to travel for their positions. I don't use either carrier for work or pleasure and never will.BMI into LHR, LH into FRA or LX into ZRH and any amount of connections you want on high quality airlines.

Strange comment to make. I cannot possibly be back with them because they do not fly to the airport that I use.Why would I fly to Dublin of Belfast? My feelings are not just mine by the way. They are the views of most people in the Mid West and west of Ireland. Mind you its not AerLingus fault. They just doing as they are told by their Boss, The Irish Government. Michael O leary tells people what they want to hear, what he does is very different. If he cares so much about the mid west why doesn't he fly to Heathrow, Ryanair has the money to buy slots and pay the fees so what's stopping them. If Ryanair's routes at Shannon started to under perform he would them drop them. Airlines are not public services, they are out to make money and Michael O leary would agree with me.

Well that shows how much the public understand what is happening. You cant just buy slots in LHR. There are waiting lists and political issues to be taken into account. And as someone who used to use the service 2-3 times a week i can guarantee that it was not under performing. In fact it was the most profitable route Aerlingus had out of Shannon. But there you go. the Irish Government have let down the people outside Dublin yet again. Thanks you to Michael O Leary for standing by us

They forgot to mention that your assigned seating costs you a minimum of €3. Now I know that's just short haul, but this ad is clearly aimed at Ryanair, no doubt about it. Pity they can't advertise being able to check your bags for free on Short Haul routes, cause, surprise, surprise, they followed Ryanbair, and started charging for bags.

This ad is better than what has been offered before, but the airlines offerings are what let it down.

Actually you get assigned a seat anyway at check-in which is free, you can also choose your seat at Fast Pass which is also free. They only charge you if you pick your seat online. Ryanair dont even offer you the choice of prebooking your seat.

There is a charge to select your seat in advance. But if you check-in online, which opens up to 30 hours before departure, you can select your seat for free. If you don't check-in online, you can select your seat at a Fast Pass machine.

I agree with robireland78 I would have liked moew Aer Lingus staff used and some more shots of the A330 aircraft but this is a good advert anyway! I'm so pleased Aer Lingus is starting these types of adverts again after 9/11

I guess the poster works for Aer Lingus has they have all the internal buzz words. The add is great and a huge improvement on the dot com stuff since 2003. However I would have like to see a bit more of the staff who actually make the difference when I travel - they can win or loose the battle for Aer Lingus. Pitty a new advert company didn't watch a few of the old ads- Is the theme going to be used again - hope so!
