reading these comments i can feel the quality of bowiephiles has pretty much deterorated, like 'i have 8734678342 bowie albums and never heard this. is it from ziggy stardust?'
if you'd really like bowie stuff you should already know at least the singles!
@BreakingGlass77 I have the full album of Young Americans (my least favourite, although its still great). Still dont rememebr it. Probably was just saved for the single.
@highyetdry It's on David Live and was released as a single in the UK. For me it was a real shock as to how bad his voice had become, from being able to sing those high notes so well to this was devistating to me.
Yeah, I didn't know it either. It's really amazing how many different shades he can put into his voice and musical arrangements. Yet another piece of the jigsaw we can put into our Bowie kaleidoscope. The man is simply mesmerizing, ein wahrer Meister seines Fachs!, the one and only true maestro ;-))
you mean the corny Amii Stewart '79 disco version of it? blegh. the song was written by Eddie Floyd back in 66, his version and Otis Redding's are probably the definitives, but Bowie's is decent.
Well you must be a real wacko! Bowie sung it sooooooooo much better! But Hey every has her/his opinion. But Just so you know, My Opinion is that 'the black girl'´s version SUCKS!! And that's my opinion!
Always thought this David Live version was sexy as fuk.

This comes from "David Live at the Tower Philadelphia" which was a standard RCA release after Diamond Dogs.

I have 27 of David Bowie's albums, yet I have never heard this. I know it's a cover so it may not be on an album, but if it is, which one?
