I didn't think you'd reach into the back and grab the helmet, but you did. I'm always afraid of doing that, as I assume some crazy dude will pop out and yell "Dlop that hermet!!"
Leaving a $80 helmet and $20 gloves in an open box. Only in Japan. Though I wouldn't actually be surprised, if they even left the wallet in there and no-one would bother to steal it.
@CerberusTenshi All over Japan I saw expensive things just left out in the open, I wonder how they evolved such a culture of trust and respect that it is safe to do so?
@princessmarisa It probably has everything to do with honor. Theft is a dishonor. Working your ass off until you die is honorable. That would be my guess. Centuries of honor as the prime directive.
I always wanted to get one of those for myself, actually, when I was teaching at four different places over the week. Would be great in the rain and carrying your bag/teaching stuff around and cheap as hell to run.
My son's first job was at Pizza Hut. His best friend has worked for them for many years. He manages events at the arena in downtown Oklahoma City where the OKC Thunder play and at OU football games in Norman. I will be sure to show him this video and the video of the actual pizza. Always interesting
I was a pizza delivery driver in my early 20s. That was the most insane and fun job I have ever had... I can't imagine delivering on a bike since I was working 80+ hours a week and doing deliveries which were 20+ miles round trip.
@princessmarisa Minimum wage job for $9000/year? I would like to have that much over here. I have about a third of that. And there are jobs that are less well paid than mine.
@CerberusTenshi isn't a third of it less than 2$/hour? I guess it depends on the cost of living where you are and the laws on minimum wage, I was working on the assumption that is just over half than min wage in the UK. which is about £6 iirc ~ 9$
Minimum wage full-Time job I meant, so 35-40hours a week at say 5$/hour is $10,000Year
in Japan i'd say the cost of living in Nagoya is between that of major cities in the US and prices in the UK, so I think my math(s) was ok.
@princessmarisa maths is a word? Listen i don't know the exact yen exchange rate and I was basing it off another wage and I noticed I did calculate it wrong later at night. Well don't flame me over it I wasn't even talking to you. Peace.
@GrayAu Difference between not knowing an exact rate and being an entire decimal place out and therefore mocking someone elses comment as being preposterous based on your way out guess.
@princessmarisa either way it is still preposterous because that amount of yen is still absolutely nothing. And your response wasn't needed I guess if you were to respond again it would only prove you were a madbro and that all comments I have made until now would only be facilitated further. hmm..

There is a Pizza Hut close to my hotel in Tokyo and right across the street is Domino's so even across the world, the battle continues.

Wow, snazy bike, I wonder what the c/c is on those things.
I have a question along the lines of service (delivery etc). Is tipping usually done in Japan?

Ask them if they're hiring and if they can pay me 900000 yen / year! ;)

@TheMadPoppet I doubt they'd pay you the equivalent of 90something thousand dollars for delivering pizza XD!
GrayAu 1 month ago
@GrayAu Learn to do maths it would be more like 9000$/year which depending on hours sounds like a min wage job to me.
