  • One VERY PLAUSIBLE cause for floaters is our shitty toxic modern diet, full of synthetic oxidizing compounds that are dismantling (liquefying) the vitreous jelly-like structure. Plus, we do not drink enough water.

  • Please find a cure for this =(

  • I have these too. I wonder if sun damaged my eyes. I wouldn't risk losing my eyesight through surgery, but a treatment which was non evasive would be interesting

  • this is what mine look like but the doctor hasn't done anything yet.

  • I see what he sees and hooks he may have mine beat but its close. I wish I knew how to video mine

  • the floaters are all around. I probably have some I cant even see. I hate looking at the sky and white areas like in school white boards. it drives me crazy

  • If I actually had this floaters, I'd immediatelly go for vitrectomy...

  • Question to those who have "got used to them". Were ur floaters ever that severe to begin with? and where did they sit in ur line of vision? My right eye has them mostly in the prephrial and a couple transparent ones in my central vision. My LEFT eye however has thick dark ones that are ALWAYS in my line of focus, and when i say thick i mean i can't see thru it AT ALL. I can EASILY ignore the ones in my right eye when i try to, but i find the ones in my left eye IMPOSSIBLE to ignore...

  • dude, is your retina? Mine is just as bad but my eye doc siad he would get them out. Mine is scar tissue from my retina. I have seen them for fourteen years. I am not going to know what to do with them gone. I see them in my left eye but they are just clear ones. I feel your pain. They have given so much anxiety its ridiculous

  • wow this is a shitload of floaters.

Lucianoristolfi@tiscali.it

  • you mean blind people would give anything to see their floaters.

  • I have a few, they not really bothering me.

    Were best friends xD

And now seriously, its not that horrible really.

  • This is probably the best floater footage. They're actually white but we see them as creepy black shadows. Kinda like a noir movie, possibly starring Peter Lorre.

  • Needs sound effect

  • es lo peor que me a pasado :(

  • Its horrible.

  • i have them as well

  • OMG, thats lots of them

  • non le sopporto più

  • i have the same floaters, every year its getting more, visited so many places every two months i see a specialist doctor but no luck ,,

    its killing me

  • I got them after using Restasis which my doc had prescribed for dry eyes. Don't worry, your brain gets used to them. I had them for five months and then they went away. Don't listen to your doc, listen to yourself. You know your own body better than anybody else, just like you will know yourself better than anybody else.

  • @ArghusDae CAZZO PURE IO GIUDA CANE!! HO 16 ANNI!!! CONTATTAMI CAZZO..

  • @ArghusDae Ma che merda sei??

  • @ArghusDae Bravo pirla, bestemmia: diventi + grande...

  • @ArghusDae sto usando heparin collirio,mi mandano al manicomio ste cosee

  • maledette mosche volanti del cazzo!!!!

  • can anyone say what is this exam?

  • they say u get them in l8er life i got sum not that much but sum when i was 14.

  • I wish i didn't have these, i want to have surgery one day on my eyes when i have the money. these are so bothering, because they ruin your eyesight! Where every you look they follow. I had a few and now they're more, luckily i could still see. Started this yr. :/

  • my story: one day I woke up about 8 months I saw two black spots I was scared, I visited a specialist and then I learnt about them. Being a graduate student in university which requires intense reading this was a hard hit for me. Concentrating is a struggle for me trying not to pay attention to them. They won I am about to give up my studies studying efficiently has become a dream for me. These changed my life and the consequences will impact my future.

  • I wish I could get rid of floaters this is my dream now people.

Ps I visited a opthalmogical hospital did a lot of exams, nobody recommended surgeries as they are considered way too dangerous at the moment. I hope in the future will have something

  • You know you can get treatment for them ? Dont give up on your future because of floaters

  • Dont give up studying because of floaters, its not worth it, i have them too and i know how you feel, but as time passes new treatments are discovered and im sure we will be able to get them off.

  • That's what doctors call a bengin condition that should be ignored. it;s worse then almost complete cataracts it sure doesn't make your bision too blurry but guess what it won't let you forget it no matter how much times you try it always comes out where you look at something too bright and for some even in night.

  • Listen to all of you suffering from terrible floaters I also suffered severely for 12 years. Dr Mackool from The Mackool eye institute in Astoria, Queens performed FOV ( Floater only vitrectomy) on each of my eyes several months apart and it changed my life forever. I had between 50-100 floaters in each eye alone and life was tough. Now I'm pretty much floater free with the exception of a few small ones in my left eye. There IS something you can do! Dont let idiot doctors tell you otherwise.

  • where is it that u had your surgery at-did u have to leave the state u live in to get help?-i'm still going nuts-i'm going out of my mind & stay away from people cos they don't understand unless they have this-i just stay home-in the dark-i go nuts when i am out in light- the brain scan showed all was ok in there so nothing pushing on my optic nerve-i keep lookin for a dr tht will fix them-glad it's better for u-wish i could say that.

  • I have this too, one big one, and a lot of strings... I was really depressed when I got them.. and they are still really annoying when the sun is shining. the sky never looks the same anymore neither does the ocean... But I'm happy it's not as bad as this video...damn that's terrible!

  • Stop complaining and start to do something..

  • i see in this way

  • aw dude, that's like phlegm in your eye....

    that's a lot

  • Mortison...I'm going to see the eye surgeon again next month they called me & she wants to check my retinas again so i'll go & see what she says. my retina's so far look ok-so my primary dr wants me to have a brain scan, going to schedule it soon i just havent' called to schedule it she thinks there might be something pushing on my optic nerve in my brain since they are in both eyes & 2 of them r in the same spot right in the center of both eyes, the darkest ones-so depressed &down.. VM

  • i was going to say more but ran out of time to write, i hope urs is just the normal floaters we all see from time to time, do u see them al the time? the light is the worse i stay out of the sun as much as possible, and now when i am looking at something when i turn my head there is the thing i was looking at from time to time its so depressing so very depressing, sorry you have this too. VM

  • im 16. i have terribly bad floaters that i have had for a year now. i see them all the time not occasionally. they distract me from doing everything from driving, reading, school work, and just being outside 24/7 . i had ophthalmologists look at them they said to live with them. they are making me psychotic and very depressed. there is no way to ignore them...

  • sorry to hear. that

if i can re-assure you? , i had mine about at your age

    im 23 now

    i just started driving

and seriously you become ''used to them''

    yes there are present

but they didn't become WORST in years so im thankful

    so don't worry about it

don't stress your too young to stress

  • i'm so sorry you have this condition too how long have u had urs? it is so very depressing and frustrating.mine were grey, a few black ones, then a few months they all turned very dark black, if i'm in the light a lot are grey-the bigger ones r darkest black ..being a former nurse, from the diagnosis the fluid will degenerate & I might go blind when that happens, very down and depressed too and i try to stay off the computer as much as possible it really bothers them and makes them show up a lot

  • try turning down the monitors brightness

  • it IS awful, it affects everyrthing in my life. it's so very hard to see, i have thousands of them now since i was last on here in both eyes, they are blacker than black & i see them even when i close my eyes . the diagnosis is called vitreous degeneration and i don't how this is going to end going on my third year of them so very depressed

  • Hey vegasmarji i got that prob too i dont know what to do will they evolve, but mine are lil gray. when i see light it create a sketch with inverse colour, i wanna know do floaters effect this.... Please Im Really depressed...

  • Oh my gosh! I thought I had a TON of them but those look terrible! I just hate mine.

  • ive had em 10 years , at first i was going out of mind, now ive adapted to them, but a Vitrectomy for Vitreous Opacities would be nice.

  • Please help me! I've had htem for years too but lately many more. Now that's all I deal with are floaters in the way of everything. Is it really possible to get used to them? I'd like the laser too.

  • have them in left eye, for one year now-a year on Christmas day, then just 2 weeks ago they appeared in my right eye. I have seen two dr's and both say the same after examining me--have to live with them the surgery is too risky, etc.I am going crazy, there is a huge one in the left eye, with three attached with a black string, all are dark black-in the right eye-two of them-they are also black,in the center of my vision-I am losing my mind about to end my life!

  • i have pretty serious floaters, and they drive me crazy. please don't think about ending your life -- it's not worth it. think about how blessed we are to be able to see at all. blind people would love to have our floaters! it's tough, but hang in there.

  • thanks for your comment, you are so right and i just don't think like that lately about how a blind person would give anything to have this and be able to see something, makes me feel silly for being so down over this. i will really try to think positive .. it's the worst thing that's ever happened hopefully someday i'll get used to them, having them in both eyes is just getting to me. thanks again for caring and good luck with yours..i'll hang in there as much as i can, thanks!

  • Oh my gosh you sound just like me. In the last two weeks I've been driving everyone I know NUTS. But ALL I SEE ARE FLOATERS IN TEH WAY OF EVERYTHING~ they're EVERYWHERE. I don't know if I will be able to get used to them. When I read teh comment about the blind people.....that made me think too. So thankyou from me as well to "Axnxn3".

  • @axnjxn3 thank you mines is extreme and i love the advice thnx

  • @axnjxn3 Yes. You're right. I've gotten used to living with them. :)

  • Im lucky my eye Floaters ain that BAD, but if i dont have them, its better :3

  • bobbyOg

where did you get it done??

  • Oh, ew.... are they really that big???

  • shit, I have that problem .... ;(

I use dark glasses to mitigate the problem.

  • there is a cure. i suffered from them for a long 3 years, they became intolerable. my local doctor said there was no cure and you will just grow used to them but i couldnt accept that for an answer. so i did the research and found out about the vitrectomy. although it did carry risk i was determined to go ahead with it. 6 months later and my floaters have completly dissapeared, ive got my life back again. i just wish more people suffering realised there is a solution to the crappy condition.

  • What city do you reside in and who and where did you have your treatments done? I was thinking about getting this done if my condition worsened.

  • Comment removed

  • Where did you get it done? We need an answer!!! :)

  • I never had anything done since my condition is not any worse and I'm leaving well enough alone...Sorry I could'nt be of more help.

  • Thank you for all of the information that you passed along to me. I accidentally deleted you email address so this is why I'm thanking you this way...I still believe in laser treatments from what I have studied online. I'm glad you finally have relief from your floaters. Your story was quite an ordeal...Mark

PS...Sorry for sending this message twice.

  • I need to know what the risks are please !

  • You need to speak with an eye specialist! Everyone is different...Sorry I'm just answering you now. I never received any emails to aleart me to your question.

  • I hate my eye floaters -_-

  • OMG, this will make you crazy!!! How can a human stand this???

  • it leaves u physically mentally and emotionally scarred.. i talk 2 god but he dnt talk bak.. i kno he's protecting me he's got my bak

  • death has gotta be easy cuz life is hard

  • yeah, i have floaters and i have to say that this is disgusting to watch
