I watched this a few times and noticed that the smoke trail is not disturbed at all by the heli and when it gets to 1:11 we are looking straight thru the main rotor blades, seems like the trajectory was very close to the main rotor if not strait through it. From what I can see, the population of NYC in 2000 was around 8 million. If this really happened, then somebody else MUST have seen it.

UFO isn't always synonymous with ET. The whole thing was more than likely a diversion to get the tinfoilhats going, and take the edge off every and all debates over the 9/11. @jens17676 Your points are baseless and without merit. I was on a commercial jetliner flying at 35,000 ft and witnessed the same thing except the object was cylindrical. Remember the people on the helicopter were looking at an object perhaps over 5000 ft away. Look at the incredible zoom by the camera operator. The object is obviously pretty huge. Look at its vapor trail. The trail never came close to the chopper, but because of its size, the object appeared to be on top of the chopper.

I think people are hired to discredit actual footage. Because, Personally, I have seen 3 unexplained UFO phenomenon. 2 at night and 1 in the daytime. And they were as real as the toes on my feet.
Now, not only do I have a Degree in Digital Media Arts, but I'm also studying Auto desk Maya 2011. And I'm a Photoshop junkie. So I know the extents of these programs and their capabilities. In other words I can spot a fake, a mile away.
But some of the footage I have scene, isn't fake by no means

When it's at a distance, it looks like it's several tens of feet long; but if you freeze the frame when it's closest to the camera, it only looks about six feet wide.

Even if the CEO of the SciFi Channel himself made a sworn statement on YouTube, testifying that this really was a promo, you'd only accuse him of being part of "the conspiracy" and twist it into being "evidence" to support your claims.
From what I can see, the population of NYC in 2000 was around 8 million. If this really happened, then somebody else MUST have seen it.
So where are they? Why has nobody in a city of 8 million come forward with a shred of corroborating evidence??

The woman pointing at the object is an actress called Barbara Sicuranza - check out her IMDb profile and you'll see it's the same face.
The promo is also listed on the resume page of her personal website.

@MrTachyon3000 actually, anything moving through the air at high speed can create areas of low pressure, resulting in condensation - you will notice the vapour trail only occurs when the vehicle turns, not when it's going straight - it simply caused low air pressure on the leeward side of the hull during the turn and condensation resulted

UFO isn't always synonymous with ET. The whole thing was more than likely a diversion to get the tinfoilhats going, and take the edge off every and all debates over the 9/11. @jens17676 Your points are baseless and without merit. I was on a commercial jetliner flying at 35,000 ft and witnessed the same thing except the object was cylindrical. Remember the people on the helicopter were looking at an object perhaps over 5000 ft away. Look at the incredible zoom by the camera operator. The object is obviously pretty huge. Look at its vapor trail. The trail never came close to the chopper, but because of its size, the object appeared to be on top of the chopper.
