I have such a happy and clear memory of this very day - I was there and had some wonderful luck on a (long-shot) "exactor" bet - though not on this particular race ;-) If you can imagine the perfect summer day, than this was it; a big and enthusiatic crowd, brilliant sunshine, cold beer, and a seemingly endless array of "good bets." The Fort Erie race track has such an incredibly long history - started in 1897 - and may it long continue!
Golden Moka looked FAR the best in the Post Parade. I feel bad for Big Red Mike. He ran a HUGE Plate in horrible conditions. I remember how hot it was that day, and that would take alot out of horse, and to comeback this quick after. Very tough. Congrats to Golden Moka, and connections.
backed big red mike in the queens plate. new he wont win the prince of wales, the jockeys made sure big red mike dint make the runbning, way 2 short at 4/5, cant wait til i lmove over to canada from in england in a few years, will be at fort eire sun mon and tues, better luck next time nick
@Nextannouncer I agree. It's a terrific call, but I have to say, the loud yelling takes some getting used to. Who is this gentleman on the mic? With his talent, he could be a strong candidate to replace Tom Durkin when he retires.
