You have to admire the dedication and effort involved. It's very easy to criticise , but this guy has done a really nice effort with this, even though we all wish for a genuine Sega Shenmue 3 game

The idea of being able to transfer your items and money from Shenmue 1 would be irrelevant since the game can't be released on XBLA, Microsoft have a 2GB limit for downloadable games, which the combined data across all discs obviously far exceeds. Sure the best possible way to have played Shenmue III in the first place would've have been on the Dreamcast. But if Sega were to produce the game right now, PS3 would be their best bet.

I appreciate what you're trying to do, but all hope is not lost for Shenmue 3. SEGA mentioned they would love to make the game if one of the big three players would step in and help fund it so they can have it as an exclusive. Playstation 3 is the best possible choice, since it has the fanbase and it would finally be a reason for me to buy it. Shenmue 1-3 all on PS3. A win-win.

@ Cueil - Playstation 3 seems to more have the RPG fanbase. XBOX was a really odd choice of a system to put Shenmue 2 on. A touching, heart-warming RPG on the First Person Shooter Box???? XBOX was all about first person shooters. Its fanbase didn't really go for stuff like Shenmue. Things have changed. XBOX has shown itself to cover lots of different terrain and have an adequate library of titles, and getting most things before Playstation. Maybe I was wrong. And I hope you're right!
@dogeymon83 Maybe you need to take a look at how well another complicated RPG has done on the 360... Mass Effect... you take Shenmue and you give it the same kind of quality and users on the 360 will flock to it... you make it a clunky tank driven game and you'll be luckly to get half of what Heavy Rain did(500k btw... not bad but not enough) Sega needs to sell a butt ton of these games and it's clear that Microsoft is the only company that can push a IP to epic hights

Not sure who the creator of this is, but we at the shenmue dojo forum has learned how to rip models from the game, with textures. Just check out the modding section and check out what we are doing.
