@YouKnowMeImJosh Humanity's role in the cosmos is coming to an end. We're a stepping stone in the path towards something else. Once the first human who builds a machine capable of making technological improvements to itself accomplishes his or her task, humanity will have handed off the baton. There's no reason to think an A.I. would do anything for us out of some sense of gratitude.  Gratitude comes from our evolution as a tribal social species, a machine would not feel such a sentiment.

Why can't they just use all of this brainpower to develop cool android sex dolls? There's a cure for stupidity. It's called turning off the television. Activate the minds with creative endeavors, and people might realize what a scam this whole system of containment is. Exactly. Basically what this is going to do, by chipping human brains, is they're taking away our human traits. They're turning us into programmable robots ...where the government can easily network themselves with the chips inside us, like an internet connection. Then that allows them to control us in whatever way they like. Thats a dangerous, disturbing and just plain frightening situation. If this takes place, we're screwed as a society.
