It was when these videos were made. I rebuilt the engine last winter and then twisted the drive shaft in half on my first pass. Decided to pull the engine and put it into a 1967 Galaxie 500 I've got that has 45,000 original miles. I'm gonna finish the body work on it and then sell that beast to fund my new project.
1964 Ford Fairlane Wagon. It's been converted from a 4 door to a 2 door and mini tubbed. I've just gotta finish welding in the front suspension, throw a cage in it, then put the car back together and paint it. I need the money to build a new motor. I want to get around 500 horsepower out of 351 and it'll drop right into that car.
Forced induction was exactly what I was thinking. I can get a 351 real cheap and rebuild it no problem but superchargers have never been able to fit in my budget if you know what i mean. That's why I need to sell the Galaxie and the Merc. I've got a couple guys interested in the Merc but the Galaxie I'm going to hold off spreading the word about until it's done.
I love the bike! It's great just make sure to look over the carbs when you get it. Mine have to be rejetted because they're aftermarket and weren't set up right. But it still runs great it just has a little trouble when you go to clutch it up for a wheely. lol Overall great bike though.
not bad!

NICE!
id say forced induction would be the easiest way... dual superchargers will get you that 500 horses

try and salvage some turbos off of something like an old nissan... should get you that 500 horses for pretty cheap...
good luck with whatever you do

I could do that. Thanks and I'm pretty sure I'll need the luck.

go down a tooth in the front and itll make it easier...
try clutching it up midway through first gear also.. i could do it on my neighbors old cb750 when he still had it...
given im just 130 pounds, and 15 years old =D

It's because the carbs are jetted so high that it just bogs when you get on it. I'm 190 and 18 so i just have a little bit on you. lol
