I find it annoying to hear some people compare you to Avy or other artists. You can't do that. Your's and Avy's style's are so different, but both equally brilliant. I love Avy's deep shading and thick lines, but your subtle shading and very thin lines work just as effectively~

@SayaHimitsuzukiBFA I dunno, it mostly just depends on how I feel at the moment. Normally I just wait until I get an idea for an image and roll with it... and that can come from anything, conversations, music, photos, daydreaming. Muse tends to come from all sorts of places, you just have to let yourself find it first.

I will normally go over anatomy before I start an image yes, however that's rarely related to getting inspiration.

@MaceTheBarrowsLord An eraser, the blue was on a layer set to Multiply. Erasing the blue = nothing blocking the original colors, so sort of reverse shading.

Hi! This is an absolutely brilliant speedpaint, I'm sure Avy loved this :> And a question; I just bought Screenium, but whenever I draw while recording it is VERY laggy. Did you ever get this?

I think people are becoming so used to soo many different anatomy's people use for "wolves". Wolf drawings are becoming such a cliche, everyone is beginning to automatically assume that it's a wolf unless it has a super long tail, then its a cat? But your anatomy represents bobcats and hyenas very well. (:

I can almost understand people mixing Avy to be a wolf because they are the main source of fandom drawing and not many people know what a hyena is but calling Zoe a wolf?! The most you could mix her up with is a Lynx!

And I hope you don't mind me asking, but how can you tell whether it is better to do cell shading or airbrush shading on a drawing? You always seem to get it perfect <3

There's not really any right or wrong. Cell shading is sharper and generally more toony, airbrush tends to look more "painted" and blendy. It all just depends on how you want your image to come across as and which you think would fit better.

anyways! I just love your cell shading, but for this piece, I think that shading with various airbrushes was just perfect. This turned out lovely, the shine and "in awe" expression on Avyris's face all brings it together...I love this <3

Yay! A Kaylink speedpaint, these are always of the enjoyable sort, yessums.

Avy will love this, it's simply magnificent. The detail is really nice- I actually really like this 1 pixel technique, it captures all those tiny little things that make the picture in sterling quality~

It also makes it have a really painterly effect with the shading. I really like that saturated blue for the shading too! c: So pretty.

Also, congrats on getting into the study abroad program at your school~!
