Great movie. Great song. Low-rate garbage remakes have nothing on the originals, in either case. Before another classic '80s film is regurgitated fro the wrong reasons, it'd be nice if Hollywood would consider making it's own special moments unique to the here and now, rather them trying to rehash something that was inherent to the '80s.

I just saw the remake of this movie and I must say, the acting was terrible. The performances in the original were so much more heartfelt. Especially with the two leads. In the remake it was all about them looking sexy, there was no chemistry. And what about leaving all the iconic scenes out. Ariel did't even play chicken with the semitrailer?? And chuck was ugly. He was gorgeous in the first movie.
i've seen both versions. I was truly not disapointed in the remake. Its not the same as the original.. but it works for the new generation and they can relate to it more

This movie is a classic that cannot be replaced. This is a movie that I will show my children and let them see that remakes take away from the original, and that movies and songs like this will go on for decades to come, even if only on those old and outdated old blue ray and DVD.

The Batman of 1989 wasnt a remake of the one from the 60's based on the tv series. Footloose, as many other classic icons, is an original story, not a franchise.

Yes times were simpler back then. Carefree, but most of all free, freedom, not so many rules and regulations. Im so happy to be born in the seventies. At least I lived a full life, hope my son has the opportunity to feel as carefree as I did. Sorry guys but it will never be the same again. Just know that the only thing governments can't take from us are our memories.

@Tre404 Maybe they're upset the work wasn't done in top quality, I noticed it was too dark for me to recognize much of what was going on. Just becuase someone gives thumbs down doesn't mean they don't like the artwork, but perhaps it's done lousy thus betrays the artwork.
