Kobra is my favorite newcomer in MK Deception.

A lot of people say he looks kinda like Ken from Street Fighter (which in a way is true to a degree) but he mostly reminds me of Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka's character in the original 1984 Karate Kid).

They're both the best in their classes & they're both very bad assed.

It's sad that Deception, a pretty good MK, was ruined by a plague of unoriginal new characters such as this. Kobra, Ashrah, Darrius, Kira? WTF? where were all the creative minds that came up with good characters like Goro, Sheeva, Motaro, etc.?

@12ozshark I agree 100%. Tobias was the heart and soul of MK's creativity and they haven't been able to fill that void since he left. This is evident even by MK9. They finally made a game as amazing as the original trilogy, but it's still living off of Tobias' creations. I mean you can find an Ed Boon-type graphic designer anywhere nowadays; you can't find a John Tobias-type creative designer as easily. I hope they can settle their differences and he can revive the franchise some day.

I wish they wouldn't have made him...at all. First off even though they say that he's based off of that guy from Karate Kid, put him in red and Ken Masters just entered Mortal Kombat! That and they made his moveset incredibly too easy learn and pickup. Why? Because the AI abuses this fact relentlessly! Say you're playing Deception and he is the person before Noob/Smoke or even one before that! The cheap tactics that he uses to mercilessly butcher you are nothing short of blasphemy!!
