  • i am going to become a vet and i guess this is for leraning in universitys of animal treatment. it is not hurting the cow or sth like that. it's just for exercising of students and for leraning how to feel the different parts of a cows craw. often they grow older than 'normal' cows cause they're treated highly with caution ;)

  • Why don't we start giving all animals gages

  • ok thats sad :,( and extremely disturbing O.O

  • its for fucking research!!! god all these people bitching about it even though they were the ones who clicked on the video. if you knew anything about cow dairies you'd understand.

  • Yeah, that's how we do it in Denmark.

  • what...the....fuck. That just ain't right

  • apperently only in Denmark..... i live there :(

  • theres a hole in your cow... just sayin

  • IDIOTS

  • wtf is this

  • people are fermented here by special microbes unique to ruminant animals. After a period of a few hours of ingesting the feed, the cow burps up portions of the feed and chews it a second time. This is known as chewing the "cud." The rechewed feed then moves on to the reticulum, omasum, abomasum, and large and small intestines. The procedure is virtually painless when performed by a vet using numbing agents and is carefully cared for to prevent infection until slaughter.

  • Very commonly used in research programs to get a direct indication of how feed is being broken down and how nutrients are being digested while in the rumen. Cows are ruminant animals with 4 stomachs, the largest of which is the "fermentation vat", or technically, the rumen. It takes up nearly the entire left side of the animal and holds a tremendous amount of feed. Feed, and specifically hard to digest roughage and forages that are unable to be digested by monogastrics (single stomach) such as

  • how did it survive with this big hole !? :o

  • lo ke debe dolerle eso ...shit °°°

  • Fedt dansker :D!

  • Shit, where is humanity going on? "For the sake of cow's health?". Well, sure. To produce healthy cows, for.. what? Human food. Screw that. We are fucking evil.

  • Most of the time its done during medical research. Its not harmful they happy healthy lives and help expand our knowledge

  • humans are so fucking curl :/

  • it has a spacer on its back.... new body mods

  • ive always wondered what it would be like to have a hole in you....i dont wonder anymore

  • WTF

  • WTF

  • ITS OSCAR THE GROUCH!!!!!

  • ante mou sto diaolo palio malakes tou kerata

    kariolides gamimenoi mpastasdoi

  • cruel and unusual

  • @PopeOfTheUniverse ignorant and uneducated.

  • @PopeOfTheUniverse Researchers claim it's not painful. I dont know if that's true, but the cow doesnt moo loudly, which it should if you hurt it. So, who knows.

It really is unsightly to look at, but they say it helps farmers know the cow's health condition with no side effects, even infections.

It is to help the cows, painless, no side effects. If they're all true. Then, why not.

It is not cruel if there is no pain or some kinda harm done; they're not doing that for fun either.

  • @PopeOfTheUniverse i love animals but i must disagree, this cow isnt under weight, and if it was in pain it would be obvious

  • @PopeOfTheUniverse You are ignorant then He is explaining that is a stoma in cow's stomach, And it is there because the cow has a problem with it's innards

  • SCIENCE!

  • Can someone please explain what this is to me, without throwing their opinion into it as well? I just want an explanation, not a lecture.

  • @Mesatalia ALSO: THIS IS THE VERY DEFINITION OF MUTILATION. Enter "old man with hole in head" into your youtube search text box.... then ask yourself if any human would opt to have that done to him.... and (since you think they are so healthy) if you were a cow would you volunteer to have your stomach torn open, risking infection... all for the betterment of science. I think not. Hell prove me wrong... go have yourself discected. After all its for the betterment of the species aint it?

  • @BarbarasUrates Don't have a cow, man.

  • @BarbarasUrates so lets say the cow eats something poisonous, a plant that grew in one part of the pasture but was foreign in previous years would be a good example. The farmer does not really know until half the heard is gone. It is the owners responsibility to make sure that the cattle are safe but he can not be there the whole time. By doing this he can check to see if anything poisonous was in his system. Cows are not certain, so we have to find ways to help keep them healthy.

  • @StoryOfMyLittleLife Your story is just silly.

  • oh yea I saw this in Ripleys, is actually very disgusting but Mesatalia is right, that way they can check their diet and study it more.

  • @yukkiyoru You're a moron. They do this to regulate the cow's digestive system.

  • i dont know how ppl can be so cruel to mutilate a cow like that its disgusting and vile.

  • Ahahahaha, HOLY SHIT!

  • cannulated = whole to your stomach?

  • Oh I thought it was the extremely rare Asian constipated cow with shitty meat lol

  • I know about cannulation and I still think it's messed up to do this to a cow or ANY creature.

  • Weird and strange, but interesting .

  • pricks

  • ewwww

  • What the fuck was that

  • 54 hindus hated on this lol!

  • SO ANYWAY, i am a cat lover and i love to run!

  • Eeeeewwwwww!!!

  • Even tho it actually looks painful it's not :P The cow actually doesn't feel any pain but eventual poking as everyone would when being touched or so.

  • GROSS!

  • I wish I had a port hole so I could just pour food into it when I'm in a hurry. I would never skip breakfast :)

  • that looked so painful...

  • holy ((SHIT))8I

  • no matter how healthy...dont think id like to peer at its innerds...

  • What the fuck

  • woa

  • there's a hole in its ass, one more orifice wont hurt.

  • Sorry, Mesatalia, I misspelled your name...

  • Mesetalia, you can rationalize and justify this with benefits to humans and it's still a form of mutilation.

  • Fuckin bitch how can u do that to a poor cow

  • Omg why do they do this to this poor cow!?

  • why is there a hole in his stomach

  • Their microbial ecosystem will equalize so that they will be more efficient profitable, they don't care about healthy happy cows! Please learn and THINK before you post! And wonder about ethic!

  • i wonder what it smells like

  • kk

  • Just call her a time capsule cow! I wonder what would happen if they did that to a person?? Would the person feel pain? Just wonderin??

  • Sick in the head

  • i wonder if it hurts the cow :(

  • New idea for a time capsule?

  • Its becuz there intestine is all messed up idk cuz they were born like that theres people like this too and they poop out of the side of their stomaches instead of there but

  • EWWW!!

  • This is a cannulated cow. The window to it's stomach offers valuable research into nutrition for cows. Because cannulated cows are so healthy, farmers often keep them around to improve the health of the herd. Sick cows can ingest rumen from the cannulated cows stomach and their microbial ecosystem will equalize. These are the healthiest cows around and they provide a benefit to other cows and humans. You are retarded to think this is mutilation. Please learn before you post your first thoughts.

  • @Mesatalia

Their microbial ecosystem will equalize so that they will be more efficient profitable, they don't care about healthy happy cows! Please learn and THINK before you post! And wonder about ethic!

  • @Mesatalia I like how you copy and paste someone else's comment.

    watch?NR=1&v=rsbd4AwqQY4

  • @snyper182000 Your want of making yourself feel superiour has made you look foolish. It was a good comment not needing change. BLAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH derp

  • @BizaroMustard100 it's called plagiarism douche bag.

  • @snyper182000 Sre buddy. Plagiarism that weally weally matters. hahahahahahha DUMB FUCK

  • @snyper182000 Actually it was from Wiki. I'm not good with words and happen to agree with it. The cow still lives a full happy healthy life and it's not EVERY cow that this is happening to. People see something "out of the ordinary" and automatically think it's bad. I'm an animal lover and help look out for their well-being. As long as these cows aren't being abused it's fine....and they are obviously healthy in this one.

  • @Mesatalia So the golden rule doesn't apply when it comes to animals or scientific research, eh?

  • Comment removed

  • @Mesatalia so there the healthyest and the strangest

  • @Mesatalia You're asking too much; science has always terrified the obtuse.

  • @Mesatalia that doesnt matter the pain that animal must be in this is no better than men who put taps on bears stomachs so they can extract fucking mucas which is valluble this is sicka and trying to justifye this is horrible

  • FYI - this is done for scientific and research purposes, not to simply "improve the milk." Get your facts straight.

  • EWW! lmao that was fucking nasty V',.,'V

  • Lol @ the people that think this is harming the cow.

  • Comment removed

  • the cows should put a hole on your stomache so they can play around with your poop!

  • @TheJbr777 Yer poo ain't in yer stomach.

  • @JoeyBelgier they reach in their and do something. that is not the stomache

  • @TheJbr777 Then the description of this video is a total fail.

  • that's so sad :(

  • D: <<--- my expresion at the begining.. then paused like 5 minutes... then coming back again and finish the whole video... D: i might have dreams about that shit.

  • On va vous faire pareil et vous allez kiffer bande d'encul*s de vos rac* de merd*

  • wao

  • This is totally fine to do to a cow; the hole is inserted into one of the cow's stomachs and medicine and good bacteria from other cows (if the cow is having stomach problems) can be inserted into the stomach directly. But, they probably shouldn't have taken the whole tube out!

  • they shouldnt take the capula out. stupid mexican.

  • Oh. My. God.

  • OMG !!!!!!!!

  • whats the point its like saying hmm let me open ur brain to see the crap in it

  • It's a cow! Their sole purpose of being here is for food! It is not an intelligent animal that should be treated like a dog or cat.

  • @br3ad420 What is your purpose ? Not thinking that sure !

  • @Echoinmind You're right they just produce delicious milk and are completely edible and has been used for that purpose since history was been recorded. Great job!

  • @br3ad420 I believe that cow are more smart than some retarded people. So as intelligence is the factor that preserve you to be an object of consumption , I propose to eat retarded people.

  • @br3ad420 Lol.

  • @br3ad420 What about pigs They are smarter than dogs you know...

  • this isnt right man

  • ANIMAL ABUSE!!!

  • @jingle2626 this is not animal abuse, they do this so they can easily study the cows diet

they also use the fluids inside of the rumen to help other ruminant animals that are sick; the cow is not hurt by this, or by the operation

    (:

  • @demikh0v Complete bull shit of course the cow is going to feel pain at some point.

  • @lolPantsProductions a hurghh durghhh what's anesthetic

you know they can monitor it right? pls go

  • @demikh0v i stand corected

  • @demikh0v 1. it must cause pain, discomfort, feel weird. 2. its not necessary or proven (please go ahead and give me evidence, real evidence that this is a good idea). 3. how come every cattle farm I have been to doesnt do this, makes amazing milk and look at this shit and say "thats just dumb, cruel and totally not what a caring farmer does to their cattle"

  • @Missrainbowmuffin holy FUCK are you 12

  • @demikh0v how hard is it to study a cows diet? they usually eat only one type...this seems unecessary since alot of food products today are actually detramental to our health and causing more damage than good....leave bessy alone!

  • Ah shit where did my watch go?

  • wtf is this

  • @khaostim666 Unecessary, like alot of things farms today do.

  • what the fucks the point of this? "oh lets put a whole in a how so we can see whats in its stomach" of course its gonna be fuckin semi-digested grass. what else would it be a fucking gold processing plant? stupid scientists -_-

  • this is freakin amazing if ya cow eats your sandwich you can get it back

  • What's wrong with this picture?....EVERYTHING

  • well hole itself is nothing - if its properly sealed and attached (like a artificial implant) but if it can be pulled out right this so the stomach is just barely attached to the surrounding meat and all the acids and enzymes can flow out .. .wtf?

  • Poor cow. I don't care if it doesn't hurt it. That's just fucking with mother nature! Cows aren't suppose to have holes in their stomach! This is so wrong.

  • McDonald's Secret ingredients

  • this is , well FUCKED UP!

they arent drain pipes you can modify!

  • Sombody shoot that fucking cow

  • That was freaky.

  • what the fuck was that?

  • what on earth!!! why??????

  • They do this stupid barbarian act to improve the milk some scientists say. Completely unethical..What a bunch of idiots...

  • @zororose69

Watch the video with the same name by "reporterbabe" that gives a better explantion of what's going on and it's not for better milk.

  • @zororose69 supposedly they can be used to research stomach cancer as well as animal digestion.
