@arocklife1 Beep is embarrassed that the British Army totally fucked up in Basra, Iraq. The senior command leadership thought they knew better than the US when it came to counter-insurgency. Some of their more 'ingenious' COIN methodology involved patrolling areas in the Triangle of Death with soft cap berets. So.. British platoon forces (who are generally exceptional) were left at the mercy of an Army that placed politics before the mission and the men. Truly disgusting.

I love and adore the Marine Corp. I have known many Marines personally since I was a teenager and they are the absolute BEST. I am proud to say that my son will be enlisting in the USMC here in a couple years and his dad and I couldn't be more proud of our son to pick the best branch of the Military to want to enlist in....
