good to hear from you Dino, never thought of quality deeply like that. If you were to translate "Quality food" to my mother tongue Finnish, it would actually mean that the food was of high quality, so I think of it maybe a bit differently in that sense. In English I use quality to define a characteristic of a larger collection of things in this manner: "The song had an arabic quality to it" but you have to use a different word in finnish. Someone was praising that book btw, can't remember who

Dino you're headed down a path of great frustration. After my degree in Mech Eng I spent a spell in the mountains and read that very novel. Upon my return to "civilization" I then spent another 4 years studying Ind Eng & Mgt where Juran was forced down our proverbial throats. Juran spent his life quantifying quality. In the end I find myself feeling very much not only at odds with myself while teaching it, but honestly almost bordering on fraudulent. In the end corp's know not of passion.
