Ok. Let's not be ridiculous! Thomas is an AMAZING drummer! PERIOD! You guys really go over board with this "all that matters is the groove" BS. YES! THe groove is the most important part. But just because a guy plays busy doesn't mean he has no groove. And if you guys are sitting here making these idiotic statements, it's clear to me that you either 1) Haven't ever heard Thomas play in a setting that requires less. and/or 2) You couldn't tell the difference even if you heard it.
