  • Is this the same for the 2012 paper.

  • thanks. great and easy to understand.

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!! I now get it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks a bunch

  • cheers

  • Thank you so very much. For the first time in my life I understand LCD. Thank you.

  • SOOO much work for 1 problem?? wow...:(

  • thank you....very good explanation

  • Dude first of all y r u writing upside down and second U JUST MADE IT MORE CONFUSING!!!!!!!!

  • @lialovesanimals22 it's not that hard to understand...he explains it very well...what are u confused on?

  • Thank You!

  • @YourTutorOnline thanks sooooo much!!! you saved me from a 6th graders nightmare, a bad math grade.

  • That was exhausting and I still don't get it.

  • THANKSSSSSSSS IT HELPED SOOOO MUCH!!!

  • Whoooo!! Thank you, to me that was a crystal clear explanation. I solved my problem using your example. Thank you!

  • Good stuff, it was easy for my daughter to understand

  • you are the best

  • Life freaking saver .

  • Thanks man that really helped!

  • "...and 28" lol 28?

  • thanks man i really needed good information and an easy method for my upcoming test

  • HOLY CRAP HE CAN WRITE UPSIDE DOWN!!!!!!

  • Thank you, I failed a test because of it!!!!

  • OMG ur a lifesaver!!! thank you i was scared of this since i watched this

  • /watch?v=FtDqCXjnWns

    watch that for easier method...

  • Thanks, I actually get it now (hate that math book)

  • THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!! I HAVE A TEST ON THIS TOMORROW!! YOU HELPED ME A TON!!

  • Didnt realize Youtube can be helpful...... Thank You!

  • Check this out;

What is the LCM of 4 and 6?

    Multiples of 4 are: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 68, 72, 76 etc.

and the multiples of 6 are:

     6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 54, 60, 66, 72, ...

    Common multiples of 4 and 6 are simply the numbers that are in both lists: 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, ....

So the least common multiple of 4 and 6 is the smallest one of those: 12

  • @kmburss lol suprisingly that was a lot more helpful than prime factorization XD

  • this is so HARD for me i cant understand it i thought that 3 times 2 equals 6 then why the heck did u put 9 i really dont get this is my 4th time watching this video in a row and i dont get the part where u get to the 3 exponet 2 i mean come on 3 times 2 is six NOT nine

  • @4evajustinbieblover That's because 3^2 is NOT the same thing as 3 times 2. Raising to an exponent means you multiply the number that many times.

3^2 = 3 times 3, or in other words 3, times itself two times.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • @4evajustinbieblover yea hes right 3^2 isnt 3x2 it actually is 3x3im in 5th grade and i know this

  • @4evajustinbieblover 3^2 so 3 to the 2nd power just muiltiply 3 two times so 3x3 which = 9

  • @4evajustinbieblover ..........Hey did you ever get it?

  • Thx so much!

  • wow this really helped me with my homework

  • 10x

  • writing upside down is a skill! thanks you!!!

  • Thanks..this made life so much easier.

  • omgeee! thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thank you (:

  • @yourtutoronline REPLY ME!! i preffer to use the continous division/ladder method .. what is easier ??what is it between venn diagram, ladder method, or factor tree?

  • This whole video I was concentrating on him writing upside down. I still don't know how to fine LCM

  • thank you so much :)

  • 3 x 2 people can't find primes.

  • thank youuu!

  • You explained a better way to do that then my teacher did in about 1/60th of the time...

  • Comment removed

  • my teacher doesnt even explain this crap i like learning math on youtube better than at school.

  • Comment removed

  • @MultiJasonic what if there arent any exponents?

  • Lol it's 3x3 bro 3 times itself once :)

  • goose bumps..

  • for 18 why dont u do 3 and 6???

  • @frickinfiredancefall You sure could do 3 and 6, and you would end up with the same answer. Choose factors which are obvious to you. I chose 9 and 2 because 9 it is a perfect square which saves a bit of work.

  • Good stuff

  • thanks alot

  • thanks for addressing the exponent issue!

  • CORNFUSED!

  • Think u think u think u!!!!!!!!!

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! :D

  • Thankyou, you helped with my homework! :D

  • thanks dude!!! This is sooooooooo much easier than the book

  • I remember when I was a kid I failed in my math classes because the teacher would teach us methods that only worked for some number groups.

  • This is a MUCH better method of finding the LCM than the upside down cake or upside down division method. This works for everything. Not just certain problems. Thanks a bunch.

  • thanks man! I needed help with this badly!

  • Comment removed

  • DUMMY

  • thx man!@!!!! =)!!!

  • Thanks, I didn't understand it with yourteacher(dot)com but you've cleared it up for me

  • wtf

  • How do you write upside down like a pro? And thx You helped my with my Homework :]

  • how do i konw that it is not 60=2times30 or 18=6times3 or 28=4rimes7?

  • @bijuxjulia you know that cause those numbers are still divisible.. after u lower them all the way, u get the same numbers he got

  • really helped me alot thanks!

  • stupid and confusing !

  • thanks v much, great way to find LCM - simple too.

  • ur a N E A R D

  • @vithualdo and ur a fag

  • @vithualdo and ur a person whos gonna get nowhere in life!! =)

  • @vithualdo by the way i ment it in a good way that the method was so good

  • if a student doesn't understand how to find the L.C.D he/she will most likely not know any exponential laws...

  • @Chipstastegood I don't use exponential laws in this video, just simple counting. The big number says a number shows up as a factor; the little number above it (exponent) says how many of them there are. Also, if I remember correctly simple exponents are taught before LCD topics.

But, that is a good idea for another video. Thanks!

  • You rock!! My 12 yr old daughter was freaking out, and I couldn't help her. However, after watching your tutorial, she understands. Thank you!

  • Its good

  • LOL at your 2's upside down! Look like shit

  • How would I find the LCM of decimal numbers?? Please help!!!

  • @Pevensify Numbers can be either fractions or decimals, not both. If you find a fraction with decimals in it (very odd!) convert it to a fraction without decimals first. Could you give an example of the kind of problem you are asking about?

  • @YourTutorOnline the problem was 1.1-.086=2.4B. I was told to find the LCM of those three numbers, but just didn't know where to start.

  • @Pevensify that doesn't look like a LCM problem, rather it looks like the B is the variable you need to solve for. Ask "what is 2.4 doing to the B" and then do the opposite. Get B alone on one side of the equation and you have your answer. You can also simply the left side before proceeding. Good luck.

  • @YourTutorOnline Okay. Thanks.

  • THANK YOU!!

  • People on Youtube are better than my math teacher o.o

  • @DawnOfRandomness23 Completely agree. Ive learned more about math on YouTube than actually being in class

  • @educatedlime Agreed, in class theres distractions, were on youtube we can just plug our earphones in and jot notes till out hearts content!

  • That makes so much more sense than what my algebra professor explained...thanks a lot

  • ty so much for taking the time to put this on here! My daughter was struggling with this and you explained and showed it perfectly to where she understands!

  • Thanks! You saved my butt from a maths detention tomorrow!

  • thx so much, i know some people that can read backwards but writing backwards well thats some real talent

  • It's upside down.. not backwards genius.

  • @plasticfood13 i though the same thing i really

    appreciate that dude

  • Wow you can wright upside down thats a talent in it self.

  • Quick and simple - Thanks!

  • Thanks soooooo much this helped ALOT!!

  • Thank you so much! Very helpful!

  • i learned a diff way sometimes i get the answer right sometimes i get it wrong 0.0

  • thank u had a bigggg txt coming up

  • Thankkkk youuu!!!!!!!

  • Thanks i have an exam today big help

  • I can't write upside down for my life. 8=D

  • weirdo

  • is there an easier way to find this?

  • THX U GAVE ME AN ANSWER 2 HW LOL

  • lucky >.>

  • kinda helped

  • corny!!!!!!!!!

  • very good help, thank you a lot for the video

  • BIG help! thx man!

  • ur good at wrighting upside down

  • wrighting?

  • lol, lcd...XD

  • thank you so much ;D

  • YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pretty good i like it, but how am i supposed to do that with fractions like this? my teachers calls it"zapping the frac " i dont understand . 1/6 -5/10 +7/2 ? she says you get rid of the denominator by finding the lcd. i have a test tomarrow agh please help. messege me.

  • ur retarded i did what u said and got a big fat F

  • uhhh maybe your retarded because this guys totally right and has mad upside down righting skillz

  • who knew youtube could help with homework!

  • i know right

  • this is awesome, 5 stars for sure

  • Omg!

    thank you so much!

i have a test tomorrow and i totally forgot how to !

    you're amazing ! thanks !

    explained so well . :)

  • Thank you, my daughter understands now thanks to you. :)

  • Cheeeeeers dude :D

  • thxs man it helped alot

  • Thanks! it sorta worked!

  • I dunno Im still confused I guess. I swear if there was a such thing as being dyslexic with math or numbers I have it!

  • its called "discalculia"

  • hey thank you so much..you did a great job explain int

  • yes realy thanks it helps ^^

  • your better than my maths teacher :D

i learnt more in 3 minutes than i have all year

  • so do i

  • thanks

but can you try writing the normal way ..don't see the point in the weird upside down handwriting.

  • Yeah, check out my newer videos, its much more clean.

I am used to this way of writing because when I tutor kids they sit across the table from me. It is a hassle to write "right-side-up" and then flip the paper so they can see it. Its easier from them to follow when I write from their perspective.

  • Nah man! Keep writing this way, it owns!

  • what if there is for example three 2's under one number would it be 2 cubed? Thanks for your help i understand it mostly now :)

  • thanks dude youre cool

  • wow. this guys a freak. its not easy to write upside down that well.

  • great! thanks man! it helped alot with my homework!

    xD

  • For two positive integers a & b we can use the formula LCM(a,b)*GCD(a,b)=a*b. We can obtain the LCM on many numbers by repeated iteration of this formula.

    ie LCM(12, 15, 20) = LCM(LCM(12, 15), 20). LCM(12,45,50, 56) = LCM(LCM(12,45),50,56)=LCM(LCM(12,45,50), 56) = 12600.

  • Yes, multiplying a & b together will give you a Common Multiple, but it will not be the LOWEST Common Multiple. This method will make the number quite large and more cumbersome to work with. And, it will include an extra step at the end: simplification.

The method in this video keeps the numbers relatively small and reduces (and often eliminates) the need for simplification at the end.

  • dude yer god for makinq this.lol

    i have a test tommarow.

  • yOu hAd a hArd tiMe wRitiNg tHis oNe duDe..

  • thanks it helped me except i have a tip for you in the caribbean we do it a different way we make a ladder for the factors instead of a tree. to make the ladder you draw a longish line down your page then you draw a line at the top for the nuber you are breaking down then you break it down using only the prime numbers 2,3,5,7, etc. and you must always end up with 1 and the numbers on one left side of the ladder are the numbers you use to answer :) hope you have fun trying it out :).

  • thanks! this helped me with my homework.

  • Thank-You, helped me A LOT! :)

  • Thanks! I totally needed this for my homework and a quiz, and a big test! I totally didn't get this before.

  • thank u thank u thank u so much!

  • lol thanks need help for homework and a test

  • lol? Did I make you laugh? Yeah, those videos with the hand written stuff are kinda old.

  • Good luck, VolCom. I'm glad to hear I could help. Let me know how your quiz goes!

  • YES THANKS I HAVE A QUIZ ON WEDSEDAY!

  • i still dont understand it lol

  • ty lol helped me finish ma shitty homework, ty ty

  • Great explanation, thanks a lot!

  • Thanks!! I needed some help with that for my exam coming up!
