Really great film. Sinatra outdid his performance in "Young At Heart" and "Suddenly"

and gave us a song for the ages. "All The way". Great performances by his two leading ladies Jeanne Crain and Mitzi Gaynor two of my favorite actresses as a young lad.

Great Film! As with most bio-pics, it's VERY FAR from the true life story of Joe. E. Lewis. Sinatra, Dean Martin and many others used a lot of his drinking jokes! Funny stuff! Joe E. said,"Sinatra had more fun playin' my life than I had livin' it!".

@waltandrus Walt, you're so right. As I'm sure you know, the film was never commercially released for sale. I searched for years and finally found it ...I have a perfect copy on DVD.

My Dad was always into the King, lets face it there was only one king - King Sinatra. However my dad always had problems getting me converted something to do with Electro and Hip Hop. Anyways when I was about 14 I watched this film on the BBC and it got me hooked on Sinatra from the moment I watched it.. Talk about a great film, good acting but the music is simply top quality. Take it from me anyone who's not sure about Franks Acting or singing will be hooked after they watch the Joker is Wild.

Great great story on the screen, finest performance ever by Mr. Sinatra. But even after 53 years, owners still wont release it on dvd. Talk about obsessive posessiveness!!!!!

Yes, never forget as a boy seeing this great film, on the silver screen with my Sister back in 57...truly frank's greatest role. the memories of his performance have stayed with me, all my life.

Why is this film not available on DVD, and why was it never available on VHS? Who owns the rights to this movie, and why are they keeping it from view? If the owner of The Joker is Wild is reading this, why dont you release it on DVD?

Franks best role, should have won an oscar, at least the song "All the WAY did, also Frank cast Mitzi Gaynor as his leading lady, clever man, he knew talent and beauty
