how to install gta sa mods

@ilovemetaalll you might have SA 2.0 it will crash on the loading screen when the bar is about half full. If that is what is happening to you try this  gtaforums ( .com ) /index .php?showtopic=257627

@Pranshu97099 Try using the GTA Garage Mod Manager to install the car. If that doesn't work then try installing the car again. If that doesn't work try installing a different car. If it still doesn't show up then try installing the original car and if that don't work then try reinstalling the game and try again. It will work eventually so just keep trying different things.

@jak751 You're not going to like what I have to say. PC is the only modifiable gaming system and don't let those fake videos trick you. But because you already own the game I would say just download it. Wouldn't be anymore than 4gb and it works on most PC's now.

right click on your shortcut then if you have win vista or 7 click "open file location" and if it is xp click "properties" and then "open target location" or something like that.

@SuperDon54 try running the program in admin. if that doesn't work check out the other video I made the link is at the start of the video(you cant miss it(hint red box's all over the screen)), only problem with the new way is that you can only install things to the gta3.img. which is all of the cars and weapons.

this error happens all the time and isn't really much of a error.

also this is the hard way to install mods you should go to gtagarageDOTcom and download the gta garage mod manager GGMM tool.

it is much easier and i have a video on it aswell.

@skateboardfreak3051 sorry its for pc only but gta sa is cheap now and it will run fine on any new computer. or you could just download it. not sure if its legal for you or not because you own it but the download is illegal. check out thepiratebayDOTcom and bittorrent

if this is the first time your using mods and it crashes you have version 2, you need version 1 to use mods(google "gta san andreas version 2" and click the gta forums page should be the first one).

if it is version 1 then you installed a damaged file and the game cant load properly, just restore a few backups till it works.

@microc2 If you didn't make a backup of the files you changed you will have to uninstall gta and reinstall it. But if you did make backups just install them into you game. The easy way to backup cars is to copy the whole gta3.img file to some where else.

@Bluxico just right click on it and select export to make a save of the file if it is in the gta3.img. or just right click and select copy then make a new folder called backups, go in it, right click and select paste. if you make a copy of the file before you mod it and after the mod doesn't work you can just copy that file you copied before and use it to overwrite the one you moded that way you have restored you game to working order without reinstalling the game.

you can if you have a ps2 slim

mod the ps2 to play games while the disc tray is open

1 - get the game from the disc and mod it.

2 - burn the modded game to a new disc.

3 - put the original disc in wait for it to say playstation 2 on the screen

4 - take the disc out and put the burnt one in as fast as possible then it will load the modded game.

yes but you need to mod the xbox and the game and hope microsoft doesn't find out other wise you can't play on xbox live anymore.

the xbox needs to be able to play burnt disks.

you will have to download version 1.0

to use mods.

gta sa v2.0 stops loading the game at about the A. v2.0 cannot be modded you need 1.0.

download it and mod it then it will work.

and dont worry about illegal download its not if you paid for the game.

that is the standard directory. just right click on the shortcut to ther game and click open file location or properties and click target location or something like that its different depending on what computer your using.

The san andreas mod installer is not a very good way to install mods and if you install to many cars it will crash your game really easily.

no, what ever file u plan on replacing, Right click on the original file, Select Copy, Make a new folder somewhere on your computer does not matter as long as u can remember where it is, Then paste that file into your new back up folder.

You could just copy the whole gta3.IMG but then if something was messed up causing the game to crash u would have to use the original gta4.IMG file and lose all your mods, But since u backed thoes individual files its possible to fix the error.
