  • Killer whales are another type of dolphin btw, you're just as safe in the water with them if its not to cold. The only problem is they may try to rape you like dolphins.

No one can hear you scream underwater....

  • The Yamila79-Orcas are not meant to be in captivity and being kept in tanks literally drives them crazy and they do end up killing people by in some cases. It's never in a malicious way though, they're usually playing and just don't realize that humans can't hold their breath for as long as they can. Easy solution....don't capture them and keep them in captivity, see them in their natural habitat with their family members instead!

  • i wouldn't dream in doing kayak or swimming or whatever in that sea

  • awww cute i wanna hug an orca :D <3 LOL

  • Damn, they're like kings of the sea. So big!

  • cleveland on the boat

  • This is an awesome video. It teaches us all how powerful mother nature is and how insignificant we are!

  • @TheYamila79 What about SeaWorld?

  • very nice orca :D

  • A wild Orca have NEVER, and I mean NEVER EVER attacked a human. NEVER.

Even though they would be an easy meal when in the ocean, they have never found a human in the water as food.

Captured orcas have however harmed humans. The only one i know about is Tillikum, in SW Orlando.

    1. Killed a trainer who fell in the water with him and two other orcas, one new born calf...

    2. Man found dead in the pool, died from hypothermia,.

    3. Killed a trainer after a day of notable agression to everything..

  • @OrciTheOrca

And to all the "I would rather stay on land if that happened" people, read biology and not headlines... If the water temperature was right I would gladly swim with them...

  • @OrciTheOrca there are actually 3 records of orcas attacking a human in wild, but it was unintentially. you can find the 3 cases if you search it on google. orca attack on human, it explains how and what happened when they were attacked, mostly the orca's were mistaken them for seals or food.

  • If my understanding is correct, the pods in the San Juan Islands and up around Vancouver are not the predatory "killer" whales. Because they are localized and travel in pods, they are much less "scary" than the ones that travel alone. At least that's what I was told while on a whale watching cruise up in the Gulf Islands.

  • @dakotapie We had quite the encounter last September up there. Our kayak found itself 25 yards away from a feeding pod. It was the experience of a lifetime.

  • AnimatedFish...You're exactly right...NO WAY. I'll stay on land.

  • Holy whale poo I would have had a cardiac arrest

  • its just pops up like "Wassup!?! *chomp* Silly whale you no hungry for human...you hungry for HOT POCKET!"

  • The louder the laugh, the fuller the pants!

  • wait, did you say boat? :l that a canoe

  • canoe? haha no it is a kayak:D

  • @kurtinge does it matter? haha

  • Killer whales are very gentle mammals. They wouldn't intentionally overturn a boat or kill someone. You would be pretty safe kayaking with them. Their sense of echolocation is pretty acute and they can sense where you are and what you are (Their sonar can tell whether you are sick, how full your lungs are or even your mood)

  • they are amazing animals, never understood why they call them killer whales, I prefer orcs. They are beautifull.

  • They get their name (or nickname) from the fact that they kill other whales. Personally I also prefer orca.

  • really? I didn't know orcs killed other whales? what kinda whales? like other orcs?

  • mink whales and baby humpbacks

  • killer whales becouse they eat whales

  • they kill other whales.. so they call them killer whales...

  • i c thanks for the info

  • @haha48 they are called orca whales not killer whales

  • @NotQuiteLucid Depends on who you ask but both names are correct..

Killer whales/Orcas are know to kill things just for fun and playing with their food.. they can be very cruel animals ie killing a humpback whales baby and not eating it after they just dont want the compatition..

  • killer whales gentle?!

    hahahhahahahha

killer whales are intellegent , so when they befreind humans they are obviusly gentle

if humans were mermaids , they would kill us

  • @oxhwkxo amazing huh?

  • @oxhwkxo ageeeed but non the less i would still need to change my underwear after this encounter.

  • ??? Whether your sick or your mood???? What are you smoking?

  • @oxhwkxo Maybe you should look at killer whales again. They are aggressive predators.

  • @oxhwkxo most the time even if they did turn a kayak over the'd help you to where ever theres another kayak to ive seen it done. the whale tipped over a kayak and the whale brought the person in the boat over to our boat i was like holy shit.

  • @oxhwkxo HA! u a fucking lie, killer whales r da harshest butt ugly creatures dat ever lived. infact i wudd never fucking kayak with dem!!! STUPID FUCKING DOLPHINS!!! LETS MAKE A HOLOCAUST

  • I would be so amazed too. I have never been on a boat to see wild Orca's (I live in Alberta)

  • I would cause I love seals!

  • yea that is scary.. i would be cause i would think it would dive on us

  • what a fun experience

  • My number one dream would be to overcome the fear of an accident happening during sea kayaking with orcas and do this someday! =]

  • i would be scared but later it would be one hell of a story

  • I have been there. i worked at snug harbor there on friday harbor. was a kayak guide for 4 years, lotsa closeups with the orcas....

  • i wuld probably die lolz no u is sooo lucky
