  • I love how underrated this is, I hope it would be even more and that I could still had discover it. :)

  • just relized this but the singer kinda looks like a young ed harris

  • not enough views

  • So awesome. Usually, I would dismiss this for sounding too much like the early-mid 90's (very similar vocals to Jeff Mangum, a compliment for sure), but I miss bands like this so much and they are such talented songwriters. I wish I could write a song like this. I love all the guitar chord variations. We don't see rock like this anymore, music with a seething sense of urgency and emotional immediacy. Sort of like early Radiohead/alternative music that I grew up on. More reasons to love Canada.

  • @eduardorenato I couldn't agree more. Jeff Mangum is one of my all time favorites and i guess that may explain to some degree why i enjoy this band so much

  • :38 Jim Sturgess??

  • This video reminds me of the movie Das Leben der Anderen, The Lives of Others.

  • Canadian Rise Against?

  • @CartoonHuman1 Probably the worst possible band you could compare RAA with. Seriously.

  • @CartoonHuman1 The only similarity I see is that they both write amazing music.

  • This is my aunts daughters husband :P

  • @Ra1n1337 or your cousins husband? : )

  • I am so proud to be from Alberta <3

  • @08hunnybunny80 I'm proud to at least live there lol

  • rock music is stupid

  • @SelfRevolution37 That's random. . .

  • i don't really get the music video... anyone care to explain to a dumb person? xD

  • @MrWayJay dumb people never ask. i also was a bit confused, but luckily theres a site which can help: songmeanings. net seek the song there, and then the story of the video makes sense. Its not only about love, but as someone wrote is more like someone trying to help someone else while trying to save the relation, or something like that. maybe its more or less in the line of "the story of a guy who ends with his girlfriend because she was a junkie, had trouble, but both tried again" :

  • does anybody know what this music video is about / means? i'm totally clueless.

  • so sick how it goes all upbeat these guys are awesome

  • <3

  • FUCK MANITOBA!!!

  • distillers....what a bunch of fucking bullshit...

  • @finchparade fuck yes distillers!

  • @IoDecay go away, fool.

  • such a great band. wow

  • pretty good, can't wait to hear more.

  • this song is quite awesome. Have they ever come to Vancouver? I just only recently heard about these guys, they need to come to Van-city.

  • @ramrod3479 From their facebook: 4/8 – Vancouver, BC – Venue Nightclub

  • Saw them on Friday in Brighton. I shouted 'drain the blood!' and paul made me get up on stage and dance. It was amazing.

  • This song makes me want to dance.

  • Madrid, tonight Circulo BA amazing shot, lot of parking... jjjajajaj

    All the best.

  • I think its funny they tore up the furniture before checking behind the frames.

  • 4 weeks til the European tour. Literally cannot wait.

  • best song of 2010 so far

  • @lunoboy This one is for sure a keeper, yes indeed...

  • I don't think this band is popular enough to afford making a video destroying a ton of shit.

  • @bmx3r101

whatever a band can afford, or for that matter (according to you) can't afford isn't really your business, is it? ^^

  • @M8yMouse

    I guess? There's a lot of things that aren't most people's business.

I'm not trying to start a flame war, I love this song with a mad passion. I'm just commenting on the logic of it.

  • @M8yMouse Don't worry. I'm not bashing RAA. I love them. :)

I just thought it was funny.

  • @bmx3r101 They only destroyed a crappy couch and a goodwill couch...Total value is $50 USD or approx One slice of Canadian Bacon and two table spoons of Oprah Winfree Farts

  • Not a good music video for such an awesome song. I felt like the video didn't really match the true meaning of the song

  • was i the only one expecting them to be watching a neighbor and the couple had torn about their house for no reason?

  • I'm from João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brazil and I love The Rural Alberta Advantage. Some day I'll watch your perform live.

  • i like this, but for some reason i had in my head that it was going to be a distillers cover

  • yeah i tried searching "Drain the Blood" on youtube and there's like a dozen covers of the distillers before this video

  • Interestinng video, but wish they gave us more clues to what it' s about. Paranoia?

  • @oregonannie I think the song is about how (I think the guy is gay) and he is spying on his ex lover who now has a wife, he wants to give up on the boy but... 'I'm really trying to say goodbye.' :D
