Well this is a video for the Xbox version, but I'm looking at my box of the Gold Edition for the pc and it says 8GB. It doesn't specify whether or not that's for each individual game or both though (because Gold Edition comes with its expansion). When I look at the properties of the folder on my computer it says it's a little over 15GB, but some of that is probably due to extra maps and mods that I've downloaded from GPGnet.
Sup Com is the best RTS on the 360, the only thing is that if more than about 1000 units are built in a multiplayer game the speed changes from fastest to slow.
you lied, i installed it, i played it and ever 10 seconds it stopped and started again, which gets SOOOOOOOOOO annoying, i have lost faith in all humanity....
it only over heats if you dont install it.. if u do u can play for 4 hours... maybe more, i dont play longer than around 4 hours a day so i wouldnt know lol
go to game libary and when supcom or the game is in the tray click the game and it should say view achievements, and install to hard drive click that.. takes about 5-10mins :)

halo wars is like the begginers guide 2 strategy, to get resources all you have to do is build one structure and then you get an endless supply, also all you can do is rush, their is no way pointmode no timing or groups, just bulid up a army and send them in. no stratergy what so ever.

That's 'slowdown,' not 'glitching' and it's caused by a lack of memory/processing power, so can't be 'fixed' without upgrading the xbox. lol

Actually if you wanna get right down to it, it looks like shit either way. GFX arent the main focus of RTS games, at least not in my opinion.
If it was available for the Mac I may give it a shot but its not and there aint no way I'm getting a PC just for SUpreme COmmander, even a 250 quid one.
Having not played the PC version, the 360 version is better than nothing at all, I also prefer the 360 version's GUI openess instead of the cockpit-like-hud from the PC version.
this game rocks, but you have to play it without artillery becouse that is fucking gay. build a lot of experimentals and is the shit. and is really controllable you got to be s;mart though

Good review! It's answered the biggest question I had about it which is...will it run better than on my PC! And it looks like...nope. The whole point of SC was to have these massive sprawling battles across km's of land. I can't do that on my computer without it choking, and shockingly it looks as though I won't be able to do it on the Xbox either! Damn shame that.

The exclusive units aren't even worth mentioning. The Cybran's recon sub is totally useless, the Aeon mortar station doesn't even fire on enemies, and the UEF's artillery shield ONLY blocks artileery shots and can't even withstand a few T3 arty shots without going down. They're so bugged I don't even build any of them any more. :/

no, on the pc 1(sc & fa) it matters how good ur pc is & how good ur net is if ur going onlline but on the xbox the lag cant be fixed by getting new ram & things b/c a xbox aint got ram,& i have the elite & i will be getting the game soon b/c i just love this game but i would say get the pc 1 if u have a new ish pc
Lag will be a thing of the past my children, once the new Xbox live update comes out, you can download your games on to your HDD it reduces lag by a lot.
Unfortunately 'lag' is caused by a deficit in processing power, available memory, or data transfer speeds(if playing online). Saving to the hard drive may speed loading times up by a few seconds, but will have no effect on game play. It will, however, quite the ridiculously loud xbox dvd-drive.
sup com is huge, and the tactics and strategies you can employ are endless. C&C runs ALOT smoother though, faster paced. A good supcom game last hours. I enjoy both.
It's a good review. I would say Supreme Commander is an RTS game aimed at the casual market. It is fun to play and it does have an indepth story, but it severely lacks indepth game mechanics. All you do is mass units. There's very little to work with in terms of strategy and micromanagement. It's not something that people will still find fun to play after 500 hours.
On a side note, Supreme Commander is the spiritual successor of Total Annihilation.

SupCom is incredibly in depth and there's no way you can put up a fight spamming units against a pro. less words and more show, check out the utube video of "1v4 Pro level rear play" team game if you don't have the Vault replay option with gpg net to watch top 10 player replays. Mass units? yeah right. Even if you have like 400 units available you can still be wiped out by artillery. Say you had and army of experimentals and your enemy had a nuke.
You probably spent most of your time focussing on your army rather then your defences, no nuke defence, so who's fucked now?
Supreme Commander is incredibly balanced compared to most rts games that involve base building. I think you should play the game, because you odviously haven't yet.
i play it on 360 and its fine for me i always play with 4 people its like playing with 2 for me so i dont know whats wrong with yours but mines fine... although i do have n elite so maybe thats why
theres a bit more problems to this, yes there is lag, when theres 3 players on the field, i get kinda pissed, when theres 4, i wanna throw my xbox at the wall, but that just me, theres is alot of bugs, diffently with the experimentals units and naval aircraft carriers, and last but not least the AI is excellent on campaign, but on skirmish, its very bad

off all of the rts games that exist you had too pick the one that requires the biggest micro.

I read other reviews and they said the lag was always there how ever many units you had.... Any one know if they going to update it to fix these issues????

no, on the pc 1(sc & fa) it matters how good ur pc is & how good ur net is if ur going onlline but on the xbox the lag cant be fixed by getting new ram & things b/c a xbox aint got ram,& i have the elite & i will be getting the game soon b/c i just love this game but i would say get the pc 1 if u have a new ish pc

Lag will be a thing of the past my children, once the new Xbox live update comes out, you can download your games on to your HDD it reduces lag by a lot.

Unfortunately 'lag' is caused by a deficit in processing power, available memory, or data transfer speeds(if playing online). Saving to the hard drive may speed loading times up by a few seconds, but will have no effect on game play. It will, however, quite the ridiculously loud xbox dvd-drive.

sup com is huge, and the tactics and strategies you can employ are endless. C&C runs ALOT smoother though, faster paced. A good supcom game last hours. I enjoy both.

It's a good review. I would say Supreme Commander is an RTS game aimed at the casual market. It is fun to play and it does have an indepth story, but it severely lacks indepth game mechanics. All you do is mass units. There's very little to work with in terms of strategy and micromanagement. It's not something that people will still find fun to play after 500 hours.
On a side note, Supreme Commander is the spiritual successor of Total Annihilation.

great review. i would have to disagree with S3Jason. SupCom is incredibly in depth and there's no way you can put up a fight spamming units against a pro. less words and more show, check out the utube video of "1v4 Pro level rear play" team game if you don't have the Vault replay option with gpg net to watch top 10 player replays. This game is meant for PC

Mass units? yeah right. Even if you have like 400 units available you can still be wiped out by artillery. Say you had and army of experimentals and your enemy had a nuke.
You probably spent most of your time focussing on your army rather then your defences, no nuke defence, so who's fucked now?
Supreme Commander is incredibly balanced compared to most rts games that involve base building. I think you should play the game, because you odviously haven't yet.

i play it on 360 and its fine for me i always play with 4 people its like playing with 2 for me so i dont know whats wrong with yours but mines fine... although i do have n elite so maybe thats why

theres a bit more problems to this, yes there is lag, when theres 3 players on the field, i get kinda pissed, when theres 4, i wanna throw my xbox at the wall, but that just me, theres is alot of bugs, diffently with the experimentals units and naval aircraft carriers, and last but not least the AI is excellent on campaign, but on skirmish, its very bad

Sure, I wouldn't mind having more subscribers but I prefer to think of myself like a band; if people like what I do, I trust them to tell their friends and spread the word. While I haven't gained full momentum yet, I think it will happen soon.

im no fun of RTS either only when they come out in consoles. either you like it or not a guy with a mouse is always 1 step ahead from a guy with a gamepad. hell im certain that i can beat a pro who plays with a gamepad with a mouse.
