This was a great video and I agree completely, but the volume difference between the speaker and the sound effects at the end nearly blew my shoes off.
Homeopaths in the UK have MD degrees before studying homeopathy. I've always found this difficult to understand. Although it should be reassuring it gives them a spurious respectability.
Hear Hear!!! A doctor should have a medical license obtained from a registered University. You see the same shit in hypnotherapy where people call then "Dr". It makes my hairs stand up.
There's a small homeopathic shelf in my local pharmacy. I live in saskatchewan. Makes me angry, because the only disclaimer is the word "homeopathic" on the box. They should require the same descriptors we have on cigarette packages.
@dookdawg214 Well in that case your country is ignorant! Homeopathy is proven rubbish and "Doctors" who flog this "water" should be ashamed because obviously they have nor studied science.
Guys! You have GOT to work on the sound level difference between the person speaking and your closing effects! I was wearing headphones and I thought a war had been declared!
I think there should be some context of the person giving this editorial, which I like and agree with. He has a setup similar to how most university professors do, with books such as "Human Ethics" on a bookshelf behind him. I would be interested to know this person's background.
The main problem here is that we use the word "Doctor" (which applies to anyone with a doctoral degree in any field from English Literature to Computer Engineering) to mean "physician" in common parlance. There are non-physicians who legitimately call themselves "doctor" (university professors for example).
@TheLizardLass You are right - I am a "Doctor" of philosophy myself. But the rule in Ontario is that I can't call myself a doctor in the context of offering or providing medical services. In the classroom, I can be "Doctor", but not in the clinic. Homeopaths, of course, typically have neither MD nor PhD.

In France, where I live, many homeopaths are fully certified doctors.

Great work CASS! Wish you could do something about chiropractors and naturopaths using the dr. designation... but that's a whole 'nother battle!
