i observe that in this gameplay, ro really have change, not only the improved graphics, the real ro adventure have change, gameplay is 90% for me but the satisfaction that u want to consider this game as stil ro 1? 50% sad but i think many would agree to this... i wish this could be release in the Philippines

I highly doubt this is finally out it's way to post-production.

But if Gravity does make this leap, true RO fans will dive in just on nostalgia alone.

The simplistic graphics won't hurt them, since of course most are use to the cartoony 2d sprites to begin with.

Just give us all the stuff we were use to in 3d animation.

Gravity basically gave up on it.

Its still in its beta stages.

read some News before you say Gravity gave up RO II.

At the beginning of December 2009, the Global Business Manager Yunghun Lee was asked what happend with RO II.

He said that the version wasn't really enough for the market, so they tried to revise all the systems, but it takes time. They changed the engine and everything, it's like a totally new game.Now they are using Gamebryo.

The game is nearing completion now, and Lee says "We're going to release the game next year."

I would of liked it better if the camera stayed in the birds eye view position... A graphics update would of been fine, as well as new mechanics. But taking out the birds eye view perspective is what made RO interesting to me.

Yep. It's not that hard to believe.

In film, camera angles make the atmosphere. In games, camera angles change the feel. A birds eye view camera style focuses the attention on your character and what you're doing. In a basic MMO camera angle, where you can move the camera, more focus is on the environment and your character 2nd (You see what's ahead of you instead of whats near you).

Focus on the environment makes the game feel a bit too big and slow in my opinion.

I think if you liked RO1 you should just stick to it. The only good point in RO1 was cuteness of the graphic and nice background music...Word of Warcraft is much better in terms of gameplay but I still play RO1 for the cuteness factor now that it has been taken away I might as well stick to WoW. Good 3D graphics and good gameplay.

@grace10912004 I agree, the reason why I love Ragnarok Online is because of the sprites.. I mean, the game itself is pretty awesome but the sprites give this warm feeling and nostalgia... but now Ragnarok 2 looks like a generic Korean 3D anime mmorpg like Asdastory, Fiesta online etc.

For those interesting in playing the game, right now, right this moment and see what it's like instead of waiting months. There is a private server called EuphRO2. IT is very stable, there is almost no lag, most text is translated to english, etc. So if you are interesting in playing this awesome game, google: Euphro2. (Would live to give link but wont work).

You can swim and dive to but then you got an air meter that goes down.

I don't remember flying but I think it will be in in some way but if they stick to the old types of movement it will most likely be Fly Wing which teleports you to a random location on the same map. Might not be used now due to large maps.

The world is somewhat big but nothing major and imo it's the style of it that have the charm.

I only played for a week in one of the beta and it really wasn't that large.

Well there was an new team working on RO2 so it was going to be different but the funny thing is that when they went Pay to play very few actually payed for it.

Due to that they knew it was a failure and now some of the old RO devs are going to work together with the ones who do RO2.

Imo they should keep the damage and health system from old RO as I'm sick of these new MMORPG that don't let you do over 900 points of damage without having to have the most ultra gear possible.

but its like your really in the game unlike the first one,, over all 4.5 out of 5

(1st RO 3.5 out of 5) but there is still the problem of the laggg, but maybe its because the server is korea and im from somewhere else
