im been using sound card like X-fi cards for more then 6 years now

and been doing some test lately with the new onboard sound drivers from AC97 2.56

and the AC97 2.56 driver is no way near the sound from my sound blaster x-fi card

with this audio card, i have a several problems of compatibility with any games like GRID. win vista 64, nforce 790i ultra sli, 2 gtx280 sli, qx9770, GRID always crash just before loading the first vid... with the supreme fx 2 audio card, i play without problems!! i don't know how to solve it.... i've just updated the audio drivers for this x-fi...

@massicolo its the mortherboard trust me i did have a 790i last year and whent through a hell for 3 month to find out whats the problem was and down grading to a 780i and none problems at all

the standard 790i chipset have a lot of bugs btw the 790i FTW edition have none

i did to have problem runing grid with my sound card on that mobo
