  • Having served in the army myself that statement is so true even today It is always going to be"about the men next to you"

  • @sfsilverwolf nice man very true and thanks for serving

  • "Its the men beside you..It has always been the men beside you."

  • Eric Bana is so damn good in this film.

  • It is indeed all about the man standing next to you.

I would like to thanks all of those who have served for their serive.

    FREEDOM!

  • the best point and line anyone could make god bless the delta and ranger boys hooah!!!!

  • It's amazing that the men who fight the battles have more honor than the men who sent them there in the first place.

  • very good line. special ops soldiers all think like this

  • how mother fucking long does it take a man to chew one bite?

  • The words of 1 can save many. the actions of 1 can save or kill many. the silence of 1 can kill another. why do people fight for the balance of nothing?

  • these guys should get the headlines in the newspapers. Somehow ppl like whitney houston gets it. Fucking bullshit

  • He's right. It's about the Warrior next to you.

  • name of the music?

    best movie ever<3

  • This attitude is what is wrong with the profession of arms.

  • War it never should be necessary but it must be a necessity the soldiers who go out on the frontlines protecting us from potential threats.the soldiers who are out on the frontlines make sure we sleep safe. The soldiers who give up their life to save the lives of many. Many people wonder if they made a difference in this world, the beautiful thing is that the soldiers protecting us don't have that problem.

Thank you marines ,D-boys,rangers,and seals along with everyone else

  • @SgtJazmineTaylor My uncle and roommate both did a couple of tours in Afghanistan, and they don't speak to anyone with as much contempt or bitterness as you do. Whatever happened over there, that's your deal. But remember you are or were an American soldier, so please be respectful to others. I assume you're going to tell me to go to hell, so I reckon I'll see you there one day.

  • @jjgarcia1990 They didn't see what I saw every soldier expresses himself differently and if someone tells me to get out of their country before my men do I'm gunna flip ass on them soldier or not every man can talk with bitterness, and I have earned the right to, I'll say it again I saw stuff that you will never see in Afghanistan and Iraq. I have done 4 tours twice in Iraq twice in Afghan. The mood of a soldier depends on wheat he went through. And when you get to hell, tell my squad I said hi

  • @SgtJazmineTaylor Well, God bless you for serving, I respect that. But like I said, try to be a bit more respectful. People will be more inclined to listen to your story, and it makes for a better life in general. Good luck with everything.

  • They'll say, "Hoot, your food is chewed enough already. Swallow it you fuck." and I wont say a goddamn thing. They wont understand my poor digestive system...

  • I used to want to be soldier and I understand his words perfectly, but that honor and integrity is gone, nows there war for oil and interests, as it used to be in somalia, and that most of todays soldiers are fighting for corporations , sad thing is the defending countries have more reason for war as theyr are attacked for so called dictators and they fight for theyr country not for oil and interests, but in time there will changes and we will be considered primitives

  • @Shadow472 What a rambling incoherent mess. How stoned/drunk were you when you wrote that retarded rant? There are three different types of there's (there, they're their); you obviously didn't learn how to use them properly. Do you even know when to use a comma properly? Also, before you go preaching about blood for oil, you should know that America didn't go to Somalia for oil. Which I think you were trying to imply there but it is so hard to tell...

  • @Shadow472 YOU ARE PRECISELY WHAT MY OLD MENTOR WARNED ME ABOUT, IN THAT, THE MORE EDUCATED THE MALES BECOME THE LESS CHANCE OF THESE FELLOWS ACTUALLY WANTING TO PUT ON THEIR COUNTRIES UNIFORM AND BE IN COMBAT

BECAUSE OF THE INTERNET, THERE IS A PLETHORA OF INFO NOW COMING OUT ON THE SENSLESS OF THE LAST FEW WARS, BUT ALSO HOW COUNTER PRODUCTIVE THE NET IS FOR THE ONE'S WHOM HAVE BEEN SERVING VALIANTLY FOR YERS NOW AND IN COMBAT (MEN).

  • @MrSilicon605 YES, MY MENTOR, NOW GONE, WAS AN EX-US AIR FORCE COMMANDO IN KOREA. HE WOULD LAUGH IF HE READ YOUR FIRST FEW WORDS, "I USED TO WANT TO BE A SOLDIER"....THEN GIVE FUCKING REASONS FOR YOUR COWARDICE, WITH PROOF MIND YOU, BUT WHAT DO YOU APPEAR LIKE TO THE ONE'S YOUR AGE YOU " DID DECIDE TO SERVE?".....ALBEIT, NOT IN A RESPECTFUL LIGHT.

JOE LEWIS SERVED AND ADMONISHED ALI FOR USING HIS RELIGION AS AN OUT CLAUSE, WHICH WAS COWARDLY.

  • @MrSilicon605 SLY STALLON TOOK OFF FOR SWITZERLAND TO AVOID GOING TO NAM, YET HE MAKES WAR MOVIES ABOUT NAM!?

JOHN WAYNE IS ANOTHER COWARD, NEVER BEEN IN COMBAT YET MADE WAR PICTURES; WHAT A DISGRACE!

THE ABOVE 3 WERE B4 THE INTERNET, SO THEY WERE IN BIGGER FRAUDS THAN YOU ARE!

WHEN A PERSON EITHER GENDER, MAKES EXCUSE NOT TO SERVE, THAT IS A SIGN OF BEING SCARED YOU MIGHT DIE IN WAR.

THE MALES I HAVE ULTIMATE RESPECT FOR WHOM DO SERVE AND LIVE TO TELL THE TALE.

  • @MrSilicon605 YOU, ARE VERY MUCH LIKE THE FEMALES OUT THERE WHOM FAIL TO LOBBY THEIR GOVERNMENT FOR FRONT LINE COMBAT ROLES, YET STILL EXPECT TO BE PAID THE SAME AS MEN WHOM HAVE BEEN IN COMBAT AND THOUSANDS WHO DIED , SO FEMINIST BITCHES CAN CONTROL PUNKS LIKE YOU TO HAVE THE OPINION YOU HAVE HERE!

THE HAPPYMYSOGINYST: WOMEN IN COMBAT.....WORTH WATCHING FOR THE WEAKER CROWD WHO THINK THEY HAVE A RIGHT TO AN OPINION!

  • @MrSilicon605 FINALLY, DO NOT LOOK TO PEOPLE LIKE NORRIS, SLY OR ARNOLD WHOM FALSELY DEPICT WHAT SOLDIERS ARE TRULY LIKE.

YOU NEED LOOK NO FURTHER THAN "AUDY MURPHY", THE MOST DECORATED SOLDIER TO THIS DAY IN THE US, AND HE WAS JUST YOUR AVERAGE LOOKING GUY BUT WITH BALLS LIKE AN ELEPHANT!

ENJOY YOUR FREEDOM OR WHAT YOU HAVE OF IT, BECAUSE IT WAS PROVIDED BY MEN WHOM DIED YEARS AGO SO LITTLE ASSHOLES LIKE CAN MAKE PISS POOR EXCUSE "NOT TO SERVE!".

    INBOX NOT READ

  • @Shadow472 you think the honor and integrity of the soldier fighting to protect his friends lives is gone? they arent fighting for corporations and oil. they might be sent over there for those reasons indirectly but its no different on the front lines than in this movie. you cant expect every war to be about liberating france.

  • @Shadow472 your so lost, it not just the oil, years ago it was about land, water, and food. Now you say Oil but I say this, do you know what the world of today is made of? It more to then just oil and in time I hope that we dont really find out what were really fighting for,.. as my forefather's (brothers of arms) did in the past, then you and most of the world will really see that it';s more then just oil.

  • @Shadow472 Thats why you join the militia, you serve your country, but only fight if your nation is being attacked.

  • @Shadow472 You understand the words and I understand ur point (it's a valid one too, I agree) but it's not what Hoot's words means...

That honor and integrity is still out there... and they're walking side by side every day and they die together if they have too...

  • @youmasenchi yes, I was meaning to point out that I wrote that text quickly , fingers before brain :D, i wrote poorly "but that honor and integrity is gone" , i ment wars in general , and honor and integrity is only left between soldiers like you said :)

  • @Shadow472 You know we use to fighings for the real things in life. Because the 18 deaths in somalia werent for some stupide reason

  • Hard to believe the events are almost 20 years almost and the movie is 11.

  • since ther's hunger, poverty, dictatorship, in the world there will be war. the american army is trying to stop that. they're heroes of all mankind.

  • @iDeathpool That is why America gives money to dictators, and that is why American corporations also send jobs overseas to take advantage of desperate people who will work for 2 cents a day. You dont know what the fuck you are talking about. America isnt saving the world, it is manipulating it.

  • I love this scene. The very last scene is good too where hes reading.

  • An excellent war movie about the sacrifices soldiers have to suffer to make this world a better place to live. Watch and enjoy and be proud of your brothers at arms.

  • JOSH HARTNETT :D

  • He's Aussie, not British numbnuts.

  • Yeah amazing words........ That ACTOR didn't mean any of that shit that was just thought up by some civve who doesn't know what the fuck he is talking about because he has NEVER experienced....... Movies make the military look so easy and this and that, it's not, you don't go and blow stuff up every day or kill people all the time you SERVE your county so if you hate America then don't sign up, oh and get the fuck out of my country.

  • @SgtJazmineTaylor will get the fuck out of your country as soon as you promise to leave ours IRAQ , AFGHAN...........

  • @justendwar Since we are out of Iraq, and we are leaving Afghanistan, can you all pack your shit up and get out of the states?

  • @jjgarcia1990 we will get outta ur states when you will leave Afghanistan, can you tell me the ETA of leaving Afghanistan..........I Luv the soldiers who were in Somalia because i consider that Aidid was villain, i also luv Gordan and Shughart , and Struecker is my hero............but today Rangers are killing women and children in Afghanistan .......you even killed our 25 soldiers in Salala checkpost who will pay for that????

  • @justendwar I'm guessing since the President said sometime in 2013, that would be the ETA. As for the 25 soldiers who were killed, my prayers go out to them, but take it as a loss. There's nothing anyone can do about it.

  • @jjgarcia1990 yeah u can just kill our soldiers and say what can we do ................. Our soldiers didn't fired a single bullet at Your choppers in honor ......but you people didn't leave the trigger of gun for a single minute............... what have you done with Children of Affia Sidiqy........and then you talks about men next you.................... In somalia you were actually fighting for the Humanity.......but now your just fighting for youself ...............

  • @SgtJazmineTaylor Dude relax its just a movie but it did realy happen so give some respect to the 19 men who died those 3 days

  • @SgtJazmineTaylor Are you saying if I hate American foreign policy that I should leave America?

  • Weak. It's a non sequitor. This scene only makes sense if you have seen the movie. Obviously you are a fan, but all I can hear is Hoop or whatever his name is trying to hide his British accent. LOL

  • @AliceNchain011 Saying that "grunts just...alive" is an oversimplification. Many do have that mindset. But many others want and are supposed to be given the cmdr's intent which is the "why" of the mission. Grunts deal with the Tactical level of war. Higher cmdrs deal with Operational and Strategic levels. The why comes from the top and goes down.Strategic intentions are political. I was merely giving mrdeathclaw66 reasons why people may dislike the speech. That's all.I think I agree w u otherwis

  • @mrdeathclaw66 I didn't like or dislike this video. But if you look in MCDP 1 Warfighting (United States Marine Corps Doctrine) it says that "war is an extension of policy". I contend this is very different than what Hoot said. So the twelve could have logical and smart reasons for disliking this video.

  • @JACKSCHEESYSMILE The speech is apolitical. Grunts just want to do their job and stay alive. A simple and understandable mindset. It may be fashionable to bash politicians for sending men to die in a far-off place for the most vague of reasons, yet the people continue to allow it to happen. But for many, the slogan "they're fighting for their country" is considered good and honorable enough to ease the minds of those who'd otherwise question why they're really fighting in the first place.

  • i would just like to say, hearing this makes me pray even more every night for the men and women out there, in 2 years ill be out there Fighting for america, i honestly cant wait. RIP to the fallin and god bless to the ones out there now Hooah<3

  • the truth in this speech is so insane, it sounds like, but to those who would go out on point, the very first man of the lead element, no one in front except contact...this may not be normal, but it does not mean it is abnormal, or even what you may think is "bad"...it is in how we treat our fellow man that should be looked upon, and not the man himself - this is the wisdom of war...

  • some people say war is a wasted effort but to the vets its was the part of their life that changed and scared them for life i may not be soldier but i have seen the pain in a soldiers eyes when they lost their best friend many say that time heals all wounds but for our soldiers not even time itself will heal the wounds they got many wont understand the ones that come home are just heros in the image of the world but to a soldier the real heros are the ones that dont come back

  • ACCORDING TO HOOT: 12 PEOPLE WHO HAVE WATCHED THIS VIDEO - DON'T UNDERSTAND SHIT.

  • @mrdeathclaw66

    now 14

  • @mrdeathclaw66 Troll shut up

  • @mrdeathclaw66 Acutally Fiffteen (15) now,

  • I love America.

  • These videos are always great until you accidentally scroll down and see off the wall comments and pointless arguments.

  • @CyburneticTiger9 The pointless arguement are part of the fun of it.

  • Spot on acting and dialogue, there is no way anybody besides a former military member can ever know what it's like, and anybody who questions them or says the military is bad, they are the goddamn definition of stupid arrogant ignorant fools.

  • Whats the name of the song in the background?

  • @MEXIKO85 i think its hans zimmer-nobody asks to be a hero

  • He is right, people don't know what us soldiers go through in war. They expect us to just go back to regular old life...... Fuck those cocky civve's who think they know ANYTHING about war because you don't..... You don't know what it's like so stop saying you do because you don't!!

  • @MVA15SEAL There's no peace because of human stupidity...lacking an ability to rise above simian impulses

  • @AliceNchainz011 War is apart of life, not just for humans but for animals as well. Animals compete for mates, territory, and food. Are we any different? The battle for troy (Assuming it was a real battle) was fought over a woman, almost every war was fought for land and resources, just look at the romans. The only thing that makes humans different is the scale at which we fight. As horrible as it is it is as natural as eating or sleeping, we can't change or prevent that.

  • @milkduds1001 Thanks...I'll just go kill somebody and take their food and just say "it's my nature" lol, but seriously...if we really followed that reasoning, there wouldn't ever be a war we wouldn't dive into. I'm not saying war is never necessary, but all too often it is politicians implementing the plans and the people going along like passive sheep. So it is, so it's always been.

  • @AliceNchainz011 If you are on the verge of death, and the only thing that will save you is food then it won't matter who it is if someone gets in your way you kill them. Instinct is impossible to controle when you are despreat, the brain shuts down the frontal lobe automaticly and lets instinct do the rest. This is the same for countries that are despreate enough for anything. Hitler would have never gained power if Germany wasn't so destroyed.

  • @AliceNchainz011 In the end it is our desperation that shows us how far we are willing to go. To kill for food that you need, or to protect your home or family is not a bad thing, it is nature, the circle of life. The only thing we need to controle is our human side, our greed. lust, anger, pride. The things that make us humans Ironicly are the main causes of war.

  • @AliceNchainz011 I don' t think that wars happen because as a result of us being descendant of ape predecessors lol, it happens because you have countries like Sudan and chechnya - wars happen because of oppression and when diplomacy fails or is non-existent it's often the only answer. When they ask me am I war junky- I don't say anything to them because they won't understand

  • @modestsaint60 But that's exactly my point. War exists in the fucked up countries like the ones you mentioned. Interventions in those countries usually end up in Pyrrhic military victories (if they succeed at all). I'm not a total pacifist, because I don't think it's realistic to be so. For example, living in Europe during the 1940s would be reason enough to take up arms against the Germans...but I'm not a "war junkie" either.

  • @AliceNchainz011 you're right I was implying that which you mentioned sometimes it's necessary to fight think about the jews who were oppressed in Israel when they first arrived- they almost took up arms immediately not saying I agree with how they did it but yeah lol

  • they always confused me a bit. ones like all noble the others like all ready or the end.

  • 12 people are losers.

  • The greatest speech ever. Combat Marine here of two wars, battle tested beyond question. What Hoot says is as simple as it really is. Ask any Marine who had to go back stateside and how they feel as though they let down the man next to them. I know, as I'm one of those. I lost both hips and my left foot from one hell of a gunfight. My fellow warriors, get home safe and sound, and most of all, in one piece. I pray for you all nightly....

  • @havingfun1968 semper fi

  • @havingfun1968 Clearly a man who has done his part, and even more. You have given more then asked. Know this, that no matter what has happened there are those of us that respect and honor the courage you have shown.

  • @havingfun1968 they were ARMY, but i see your point..

  • @shiwun No they were U.S. Rangers and Delta Force, that is special forces. U.S. Army is a whole other thing, that is just an army.

  • @thadf555 They are special forces but they are a branch of the Army.

  • @DanishKnoth An army of special forces you mean? U.S. Army is just the Continental army, special forces like Delta Force, Navy SEALs, Rangers.. cant be compared with the continental army

  • @thadf555 No I meant that the Rangers are a branch of the U.S. Army. Just like the Navy SEALs are a branch of the Navy, as well as the Marine Recon is of the Marines

  • @DanishKnoth that make sense

  • Comment removed

  • I know they were Army, Rangers mostly. That's NOT the point... I'm a Marine, and it makes no different if you are a soldier or a Marine, we are all brothers in arms. Ask anyone injured from the war and they'll tell you what HOOT says is exactly correct!!! Semper Fi....

  • @havingfun1968 remember that not only americans are in battle for example we are there too and I would be proud to fight by your side as long as you respect eatchother and the enemy.

  • @havingfun1968 i salute you sir for your duty.

  • @havingfun1968 of course you are one of them, every single man on youtube is marine!!!Its fucking disgrace, how everyone lies

  • Why and the hell would anyone lie about being a Marine?? Bootcamp is way too long, next is school, as I was the last class that didn't have to go to that month of field training after. I went in after college,1989, and no I went enlisted first. Once I did my 4, I then went to OCS. Maybe we're a breed a apart and damn proud of it. Ever look on the back of cars and I don't care what car you drive, there is a Eagle, Globe and Anchor proudly pasted on that vehicle. Come join us my friend....

  • @havingfun1968 Who joins in Marines and Army???Rich people DONT!Smart people DONT!Successfull people DONT!People with ambition to be someone who matters DONT!Only kids who thinks they are some special breed called to save AMERICA or MANKIND!!Tell me one war in 21st century that ANY ARMY in the world led for right CAUSE???

  • @lodhol

Because out there, there are men and women who wish to do innocent people harm, no matter what country you live in, what your background or political beliefs are. Someone needs to stand between us and those who wish to commit violence against us. It's a job that someone has to do, and I'm glad there are men and women there to do it.

  • And sure, they might be serving some corporate interest these days, but that's why they depend on us back home to support and elect people with integrity and a sense of responsibility, rare as they are these days. We must do our job so they don't die for a useless cause. So maybe you shouldn't be asking the question "What the fuck are these soldiers doing for us?" and be asking the question "What can I do to make these soldier's lives easier?"

  • @cinnamonroffles And because there is many out there who thinks like you rich people are getting even richer, including me.My father has huge international company who deals with many NATO countries, and as long as there are wars and young people are dying we will be richer every single day. There is 7 billion people on earth, and only 8 million millionaires who lives good. You drive pontiac or GMC or whatever I drive Aston Martin DBS on Tuesday, and Bentley on Saturday. So thank you

  • @lodhol

Cool story bro. But you're a symptom of a larger problem, as I said. People who profit from war and manipulate the system to get what they want are the reason why wars are becoming so trivial in reason, and why being in the armed forces isn't looked upon as well as it was in past generations. It's a problem I'm working as an activist and journalist to correct. But whatever. Wealth means jack shit on the internet.

  • @cinnamonroffles I do have money, more money than you will ever have.Im not American, and as you can see my english is very good, which is product of my expensive education.Money can buy a lot of things and thats why rich people use poor people to make more money. In is called pauperisation, when rich is becoming richer and poor becoming more poore.I do pitty all lives that are lost in vain, but whenever I say something someone tells me Im idiot and ARMY RULEAS YEAHH!So what I can do?

  • @lodhol

Again, dick waving on the internet to prove a point is like masturbating to conceive a child. But yeah, I agree that there are tons and tons of people without ambition or intelligence in the Army, and people who tout the Army like some holy icon that can never be wrong are really fucking annoying. But there are some people who are in the armed forces because they realize that it's a dirty and violent world out there, and someone has to get their hands dirty and bloody

  • so that other people don't have to kill just to survive. I don't think those kinds of people should be looked down on or trampled for doing what they do. I hate the idea of corporate wars, but don't take what I'm saying as a personal attack, because most wealthy people got where they are by being smart.

  • And that's all I'm going to say, because youtube isn't a place where we should argue about politics and wealth gaps, it's a place where we should get along and laugh at stupid videos.

  • @heathrox66 ur ur countries little bitch who hates America for what it is the best nation on earth...also hoot never mentioned America in his speech...think before u speek!

  • @coltonknap I agree with u man I'm an American too... Fuck that other dude we do help!!!

  • This is stupid shit for amerikans. They dont "UNDERSTAND" Templars. Eversmen even has the colors on his scroll. WTF!!!

  • I FOUND IT!!!

Sweet... I admit it. If I was there in Ranger regiment or part of SOCOM. I would of been eating too. Not asking stupid shit. Too busy eating bananas and drinking soda.

Eversmen needs to quit asking stupid shit about life (whos really into christianity) and dig in. OMFG

  • @DarkPrinceNH5570 you mean rangers and delta

  • @DarkPrinceNH5570 Dude every soldiers goes in thinking they're going to kick ass, make a difference fight for truth and all the other propaganda that they're told when they're being recruited to sign up. Sometimes it's true but other times the reasons of war is shady. Every military person asks "why" at some point. Its not a matter of who and if but when and I'm intro Christianity. as well as there are Soldiers out there that are.

  • its a great speech!

  • wait, why did he say "Hey don't even think about it alright, I'm better on my own."? He's gonna sneak out there by himself and kill as many of them as he can on a suicide mission?

  • @doodogger For starters Hoot is Delta, they're training is different than Rangers. Not much better a little different. Delta is primarily used for rescue and extraction among other things. Rangers are like first wave hence the saying "Rangers Lead the Way...All the Way" Don't get me wrong both are the best of the best. But because of the different styles Eversmen might have gotten in Hoot's way and vise versa.

  • "When I go home... people ask me... hey Hoot, why do you do it man, why? You some kind of... war junkie? I won't say a goddamn word. Why? They won't understand. they won't understand why we do it. They won't understand, it's about the men next to you... that's it... that's all it is."

  • And if you want to hear a great speech, go listen to Charlie Chaplin's speech from the "Dictator". And of course, America & the oh so great J. Edgar was so paranoid of this mans tolerance & desires for peace & freedom, they revoked his US citizenship.

  • Surely you aren't a moron of this magnitude. You're too young, too little life experience & too eager to relish in the spoils of war. Take a look at the comment from sn00z3rs popular comment. You Americans are too ignorant to get the point & too arrogant to want to learn & in there is the downfall of your country, you future & your children. Enjoy your journey toward third world status.

  • I have four friends at my school who say they hate the military. They say it is only a bunch of idiots firing haphazardly at civilians. I listen to them, but I can't tell them otherwise. When I see this, I see it. I'll never be able to explain it to them. They will never understand. It's just like going into space. No astronaut can describe it; you just have to feel it.

Overall, my point is that the military is not loved by everyone; it is loved by those who understand. Hoah, Semper fi!

  • Am I the only one who noticed Hoot chewing A BITE of mashed potatoes for 70 seconds?

  • @doodogger LOL THATS SO TRUE

  • This is what the speech means: Our soldiers don't go to war because it's fun or for praise or glory, they do it out of respect for other soldiers and to protect their country. Most people who aren't or will never join the military think that soldiers join for the "rush" of combat and to get praise from the protected but that just isn't true.

"For those who have fought for it, freedom has a flavor that the protected will never know."

    ~De Oppresso Liber...

  • Holy shit now I know why I never talk about joining the military with ANYONE, they won't understand.

  • Comment removed

  • @ab3631100 i take it you never been deployed. im trained to survive in a place where god shits at with guys from different states. and when bullets start flying all you got is the man next to you. but i respect your opinion.

  • "it's about the men next to you"

if people would live after this principle in their daily lives, we would have a better world..

Why is everyone so egoistic ... ?

  • @90Mo09 You are right!!!

  • Can you please tell me what's the song from this video?

    Thx

  • Can you say 'Bad Ass"

  • What the f...k! I rate Eric Bana, hell I even own an XB Coupe. But many of the great speeches of all time have come from the battlefield, but from Black Hawk Down?

Good movie, nice generic Viva America speech, but hardly a great. Big thumbs down!

  • @heathrox66 I agree as far as it not being the greatest movie, or speech. I hate beyond my ability to express the MFers who create these wars for their own enrichment and population reduction, but I am alive today ONLY because someone just like him came for me when I was shot and could not walk out. "He ain't heavy, he's my brother..." The same soldier put it best when he said the trouble with most armies is that their guns are pointed 180 degrees in the wrong direction... De Opreso Liber!

  • @Xcitableboy I'm just glad you made it back home, somewhat safely & thanks for defending our countries.

  • @heathrox66 Lol, you are a goddamn idiot. He wasn't praising America. He was saying what war is really about. So, before you open up your stupid mouth, understand the true meaning.

  • @ColtonKnapp Ha Ha, your an American & you're calling us idiots & stupid. Fortunately for us the free world starts when you leave the shores of the third world country that the US is. What a laugh, an American war film that's not screaming from the rooftops, god praise America. And in typical US fashion, you confuse reality with Hollywood!

  • @heathrox66 I'm calling you stupid because you are. You opened your damn mouth without undertsanding the speech. Stop being your countries bitch and open your eyes. We are helping those counties. All you are is a bitch to your country. Just saying...

  • @ColtonKnapp Nice to see that you've engaged your intellect & decided to resort to verbal abuse & foul language, in try yipee kiya American style, you do your country proud.

And please! helping those countries? Like our government, the US invade them under false pretences & then tell lies, in the hope that gulible voters jump on the War Machine band wagon & sing Hallellujah, praise the lord!

You're a true patriot, red neck patriot, but patriot all the same.

    Merry Christams

  • @heathrox66 Ah, stupidity at it's finest. Yeah, we are stopping terrorist. Maybe, instead of calling Americans stupid and look in a mirror. You are probably to stupid to use a mirror anyways. I'm not a redneck, I do know, since you are Australian, that you sir are the redneck. And you insulted me first. Again, your stupidity at work. Now shut it. You don't know what you are talking about, you pathetic waste of skin. =)

  • @heathrox66 Also, you shouldn't be calling anyone an idiot because you didn't even know what Hoot's speech was really about. I hope your family has a wonderful Cristmas, you... Not so much.

  • @ColtonKnapp Please go spread you anger & vitriol elsewhere, you're views aren't wanted or being digested.

  • @heathrox66 Lol, You are the one saying stupid things about what this speech is about. You are the one who needs to leave.

  • I can tell just by a comment . Who's done it and whos full of shit.... It is all about the men next to you. Who will bring you HOME one way or the other . NO MATTER WHAT.... Rangers lead the way!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • litterally the best movie ever made

  • god only if i could find this version of the song

  • It's not they don't understand. It's they don't "TRY" to understand! These men have warrior genetics, watching football and working a desk job is their worst nightmare, while with most people it would be the other way around. These people have found their full potential, while other people just blend right in being naive in the perfect world.

  • funny thing is it is an Australian actor talking about mateship, the thing that is at the very core of all Australian military forces.

  • Hi who CAN tell me what's the music on the back please

  • @TheLifeKit The problem is that man is not next to you until you get there. So you are entering a situation where you might die just for some commendatory? Another great speech was "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything."

  • "It's about the men next you"

    10 seconds later

"don't even think about it, im better on my own"

    wtf? great speech my ass

  • @RootBuffer He said that for the Safety of that soldier and to not waste more lives in the Battle. so if you understood you wouldn't say "great speech my ass" and say "He is Right, I shouldn't because their is no use for a dead Soldier but being in a bodybag"

  • @RootBuffer he is protecting him dumbass

  • only Eric Bana could pull off this scene
