The reality is Israel has a strong army and will never be conquered or oppressed again. As for the Taliban, they already have their hands full. Don't count on them to come to your rescue, if they invade Israel they will be defeated within a few hours. The *real* liberation of Palestine was accomplished in 1948, when it was liberated from the British Empire and returned to the Jewish people.

The reason America is at war with iraq and afghanistan is because of Israel. They have the biggest lobby in Washington. Israel had nothing to do with the invasion of Iraq or Afghanistan, and is not even part of the "Coalition forces."
America invaded Iraq because of its addiction to oil, not because Israel told it to. It is not Israel which has killed Afghani civilians with its airstrikes, and left thousands of civilians homeless. It is not Israeli soldiers who tortured terrorist suspects at Abu Graib or Guantanamo. These are actions taken by the US government/ army, and Israel has nothing to do with them.

I don't support Israel because I "need" to, but because I am convinced, based on studying the history, that it is the right thing to do. Of course, there is a strategic value in cooperating with the IDF against our common enemies in the war on terrorism. As you said yourself, "they have the most advanced military in the world"

The "mainstream media" of which you speak- CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera- are always telling me that the IDF are war criminals, guilty of a "disproportionate response." I don't know what exactly they "want me to believe"- other than that cable is worth my money- but as far as a pro-Israel bias, you have nothing to worry about. If anything its the other way around.
