I took this whole thing as kind of just a mocking sort of thing towards A&F; I don't think they were really serious.

One thing that surprises me is the treatment of all the equipment; I come from a crew that doesn't have much in the way of funds and has about five operating shells to its name, so you treat everything well because if you break that, that's a boat or an oar that's not being replaced any time soon.
