@MissAnnish2 I didn't know that. My difficulty with languages drove me to dabble into mathematics instead :p But I'm pretty proficient in both Dutch (native) and English. I prefer UK English over Dutch though. Don't get me wrong, I'm okay with my country, but English is really useful on international fora such as youtube etc.

I'm Dutch as well... I can tell you. If you didn't grow up with the language, it would be very hard to learn. As hard as German, really... And there are loads of Dutch people who make the worst mistakes everyday though!

It's pretty unlogical, considering Germany and French don't have to study proper English, just the basics. @Rakaloe We talk flat because the way to pronounce things is different, that's why dutch people talk like that, we call it:: Talking American or Talking English. You don't suck in English if you don't speak with an accent, my English is rather good (I guess) And most Dutch people don't suck at English, they are above the average, look at French, German, Russian people etc.,They might have learned the basics, but never use it neither on vacation even though it's the World Language. -Ik ben ook NL
