Well, I guess if this woman can teach place value using these little disks, anybody can. I would have expected a lot better from a demonstrator. I like the method, though.

crucial concept is: ten white discs can be exchanged for one red disc. i hope this was taught in the previous lesson. however, the teacher could remind them of this fact.
