You won't find a better beef (especially) or sausage than Portillo's!

I like hot peppers on the beef and on the sausage sweet peppers. even the roll they use is great and adds to the texture and flavor.

Their hot dogs are really good, too-but there's other places in Chicago that have dogs at least as good.

You really want to rock this next time? I order it dipped (but wet may work for you as well). I order it with hot giardinaria= it's a wrap. In the almost 30 plus years of eating Portillo's, I can count the # of bad meal on 1 hand. Better yet, make it a combo sandwich next time.

Hear me out! To be fair, it's not nacho flavored cheese! I look at it like this...I'm already having cheese fries, so I don't really see that it matters a whole ton if I put a little bit of it in there. It's all gonna wind up in the same way. And really; it tastes pretty freekin' good! That said, I totally appreciate those that look out for the well being of the beef sammich. I salute you, sir!

Well, I'll have to take your word for it that it "tastes good", because no way in hell would I ever do that to an Italian Beef! Sweet peppers and aus-jus will be the only things topping mine.

I prefer melted cheddar cheese on my fries. Then again ... I probably should be eating more salads!

oh, i've been many times, believe me! their cheeseburgers ARE really good, for sure! I've tried the mail order beef, and it's wonderful. I just wish that they'd offer their chili dogs; that and the beefs are my favorites.
