I've gotten everything up to 100% but the main riff and the outro. I have a problem with my Low-E string and the game not detecting what I play on it (if I'm fretting). It happens mostly with the first fret, and down by the 12th fret. Hopefully, I'll be able to master the song when I get a new guitar from a guy I know.
@ChocoboDreams what gauge of strings are you using? A friend of mine has the same problem and he's using lights, I use mediums and don't have problems, maybe just coincidence but who knows.
@suprsnypr I have no idea, I'm pretty new when it comes to that stuff (I've never changed strings since owning the guitar). That Low E is pretty thick, though, and...I dunno, loose. It makes it awkward when playing power chords on it and such, but the sound generally isn't really off. Thing flies everywhere when tremelo picking it without fretting, though.
@ChocoboDreams You should really change your guitar strings. It's reccommended to change every few months. I change mine every 5-6 months depending on their condition. Old strings rust and lose their tone and strength. Before you play any more, you should go buy new strings. Good strings will only cost you about $5. You can look up how to install them or get them to do it for you at the store for a small fee. I'm guessing about $10 since it's fast and easy.
@Tiduspeco Well, not to imply I can't just do it right now. :P 10 dollars is pretty cheap. I'm thinking about getting my bridge fixed, though, as I've been getting some fret buzzing (which may just be because of the strings, but everyone tells me it's the bridge).
@ChocoboDreams Trust me, you'll see a MASSIVE difference when you get new strings. And yes, that buzz you hear is because of your bridge. Your action is too low (the distance between the string and the frets) If it's too low, it will vibrate and touch the lower frets a little bit. That's the sound you're hearing.
@ChocoboDreams Also, the average strings are a 10 guage, meaning the smallest string is 0.10mm thick (I think) Bigger guages are good for low tunings and will hurt to play unless you are used to it. If you want some great, all-around strings, go to your closest guitar shop and ask them for D'addario XL 10 guage strings. They install the strings in the store for you or you can look up a tutorial on youtube and do it yourself. If you do it yourself, remember to stretch the strings!!
@Tiduspeco I couldn't thank you enough for the advice. Christmas is coming up, maybe I'll see about getting my guitar hooked up. Hell, I had the guitar for a year or two, and I bought it used. Who knows how badly I need my strings changed.
this song is not hard, it is really not complicated, its not big deal, i play muse's songs most difficult than this one, but i love this song, and im not saying that you dont play the guitar awful, you plya good ;) (y) anyway, i wan t this game!!!!
