  • hI!> just wondering in which school did you learn the effects and the filmmaking!> you would be a great help 4 me !> cause I want to study a bachelor!> thanks !

  • Better than most B Movies, well done, driving scenes must have been challenging.

  • bad audio

  • @chikitinmamoi Wow, no shit Sherlock.

  • @chikitinmamoi Bad audio but fokkin great After Effect work !!!

  • I've noticed a lot of these 7d tests (this beig the best btw), the audio is crap. What about recording some live audio and mixing it in with the dub. Great setup, actually liked the main guy's acting, and the chase scene was incredible. Keep it up.

  • @StupidUsername07 Amazing cinematography and color grading. What was your set up? Lens, shutter speed ect ? :-D

  • handwheel was on the RIGHT and in the end at the LEFT. So who its driving the girl or W-that fuck?

  • Awesome! Keep it up!

  • What lens did you guys use? Great short

  • jumping off the car, nice...

and steering wheel jumping from right to left...

  • Great choice in girl....she looked cute

  • 24fps, yeah?

  • and which Lens Did YOu use?

  • this looks GREAT!!, what lense did you use, and how much did it cost?

  • Just watched Lover Boy, very impressive, all actors played parts well, weapon's usage OK........ editing good, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg started like this. But as Australian's you are the best at your craft..... keep up the great work, I will watch closely and feel honoured to review your work.... Cheers Nic

  • what microphone did you use? Great job man... well done!

  • @mmaghfai Thanks mate. We didn't have a microphone so we just dubbed it later with a piece of shit from an old camera I had lying around

  • @StupidUsername07 Should have used a shotgun mic whie you filmed it. The dubbed voices didnt have the correct atmosphere.. Loved everything else thou ;)

  • @StupidUsername07 I loved your film quality...what color grading did you use ?

  • which microphone did you use?

  • @MadHouseArts We didn't. I found some old VHS-C camera later on and re-dubbed the dialogue with that piece of junk because I didn't have access to anything better during editing.

  • anyone else notice the steering wheel changed sides????

  • Very good sequence, just try to develop a cleaner audio ! nice work !

  • Ahhh why didn't she die. All woman like that in movies die. She talked back once I was like YA! girl with an attitude but then he hits her and she was like uhhhh *high pitched*

  • I've been looking at your videos and you really do show tremendous talent. You're films look amazing and your editing and cinematography is amazing. I'm telling you this constructively . If there is one thing that I would change, it's the dialogue you guys use. It's quite corny, and its also written for the american accent. thats prob ur intention but i believe u hav serious potential to make it big, providing you have the right script, you should try a feature with slightly toned down violece

  • @soapie22 Thanks! And I agree 100%

  • this is amazing work you guys are on your way

  • dude i think i went to school with that chick she looks familiar btw love the clip and the location i go there all the time for a bash have you done a mini series for tv yet would be good to see it on there keap it up bro

  • how did you matchmoved the bullet holes? using Mocha? the AE tracker tool or a matchmoving program?

  • @ajrabelista Most of it's done with the built-in AE tracker, but some of the trickier stuff (eg: the windscreen hits) was tracked in Syntheyes.

  • this is dope. Man, it is all about content. And you got it. The camera is good, but without the action, etc. it would be just another ragedy posting on youtube. Great job and keep up the work. Krunk for life.

  • Amazing color grading

  • Great job!

    torchidman productions

  • all movies should start well, congratulations, good job,

  • omg this is awesome l how do you do the gun shots? and wat software u used to edit your video? and wat lens u used?

  • mhuan9: Yeah! So watch the updated version that the video tells you to... and you won't see anything strange at all.

  • the car of the loverboy is strange, at the begining the wheel in on the right side but then the wheel is change to the left side ...

  • the best short film ever made, you cold have been making a movie

  • Oh my God !!! very nice!!!

  • Good job. Cool look with the color correction. The only problem I saw was that the steering wheel flipped from one side to the other half way thru the movie. What post software did you use?

  • Good job guys, and girl :)

  • very nice only let down by acting or accents and a few to many post effects sometimes less is more. But great to watch I liked the editing and cuts.

  • Good work!

  • congratulations!!!

    very nice work!

  • dope

  • this was very good, you manage to get a really pro feel to it. But the sound was not that good.

  • was that breakaway glass on the car? (sugar glass)

  • Pretty good, but try real pyro and blank muzzle flash.C.G.I can only look so good

but cannot immmitate the real thing.

  • Did you use Action Movie Essential 2? If so, GREAT job on the tracking..

  • awsome!

  • what did you use to color correct, im shooting a short film with this camera, and this is the coloration im looking for.. and what lenses did you use...

  • how did you change the steering of this car :P lol =) but film is great... ;)

  • @tArIk778 They flipped the shot in post. Very easy to do in Final Cut or Dolby Premiere.

  • awesome!!!!!

  • This film tests the Canon 7d at 24P mode. Original footage at 1080, which was rescaled & occasionally reframed to a 720P output.

On the day of the shoot we were unable to get any sound gear so all audio is reconstructed (quickly and badly) in Adobe Premiere.

Effects work was Adobe AfterFX, with some 3d tracking in Syntheyes.

(Note: Some footage shot at 50P.

  • Good camerawork! Sound was not so good as mentioned already, but otherwise nice work.

  • is that Derick Jeter?

  • Where are you guys? Top Work !

  • The sound is very poor and you can tell it's done in a non sound proofed room as I can hear the reverberation

  • The Mexican dude has middle eastern accent! lol!

  • Nice kiss in the middle of the explosion!!!

  • Blacks look really crushed. Trying to hide latitude in exposure or just the youtube compression?

  • It's deliberate. I don't want like shadow detail at all. I'd like it if the 7D could give me better highlight detail though.

  • Seems like you could get that by stopping down the lens even more or throwing on some ND -thereby pushing the blacks even lower. Or just bring down the gain in color correction... Have you done any latitude tests?

  • Tests? What's the title of this page? This whole thing is a camera test.

As far as getting the look I want, I'm happy with the shadow detail (or lack of) in this. I want more in the highlights, and the way to get that is to figure out a better 7d workflow so that I can do post work in 32bits. Do you have any suggestions on that?

  • @StupidUsername07 First of all the video is really great and the colors are amazing. You can probably get more details in the highlights with a ND fader. You can also use Shadows and highlights in after effects before you apply any other color grading. A third thing you can do is to use the superflat picture style. Just search for it on google.

  • This was great! Why did the car change from right to left hand drive?

  • Wow I am sure u guys are professional!!!!!

  • Nice work ;)

  • I like the way you cut scenes. BUt wih the effects being too much, it draws my attention to see if they are real or not. YOu see? BUt sure it was a heavy work on the fx's..audio and video!. GREAT FREAKIN JOB!

  • Amaz Guys!!xx

  • Amaz Guys!!xx

  • Woah! Awesome stunts + camera work! the shootout scene was cool too. You guys should definitely make a sequel! nice short :)

  • Man that is awesome. U should make a full length film. Great stuff.

  • $45, 00 cash and a hot chick, not bad for a days work, eh?

  • Sorry, mistyped, meant $45,000. :3

  • You guys make great films i don't get why the views are not like 10000000 great work guys keep it up

  • great!!! congrats Rach, very happy for you!
