You should use dc++ its like irc but it's easier and a lot faster. The only problem with is that you have to share files to get into the good servers. and not just any files specific files that relate to the servers. The reason it's faster is because if multiple users have the same file you can download it from all there servers at once. It's really good for downloading comic books

mIRC is free. It's free forever, the "free trial" box is nothing, you can just click through it every time.
