Wow...its amazing to me that people who claim no faith/ religion feel they have the right to tear down or "try" to destroy what others believe in. I am a Mormon and I have served an LDS mission and not ONCE did I ever tell someone what they believed was terrible, stupid, wrong or crazy! Its amazing the levels people sink to.

Half of the things he says about Joseph Smith aren't even accurate. If anyone wants to know the truth...how bout actually talking to a Mormon...me.

Religious people believe in silly and often easily disprovable things. Why can't a comedian make fun of that? And what exactly did he say that was not accurate? The earliest available official record of Joseph Smith is a court document from 1826 in which Joseph Smith himself admits to conning people out of their money.

You also believe that Jesus has his own planet and is now a God..so who's planet are we currently living on Gods or Jesus? If it is Gods, why is Jesus more important to the "heavenly father" than you or me? Also, if Joseph Smith was given a new testament of Jesus why did he have to rewrite the bible (fact!) to make it match his book of morom? The LDS church won't answer me!

I'm Mormon; and this line of attack is incorrect. Joseph Smith could be called a lot of things, but a lazy grifter isn't one.

Attack him for polygamy, or speculative gold digging; etc. But the grifter angle just shouts Fawn Brodie misinformed.

It probably IS fair, though, to highlight Mitt's mormonism.

But didn't Obama make promises to end the wars and bring troops back home. Didn't he promise that he would end Washington corruption. Didn't he promise he would look out for the little guy and protect him from the big bad corporations. Didn't he promise he would put tough regulations on banks(FDIC) and Wall Street. Obama made a lot of promises and promoted changed through out his campaign but instead continued and extended Bush's war policies and bailouts. and yet maher still loves obama.

He's trying to look out for the little guy, but he con only do exactly as much as Congress with let him. And with the tea party running things, that's not much.
