@TehNemoHD You NEVER want a division rival to win a championship because for the next 5 years they can end any arguement with that. We just swept the GIants but all their fans say is How many Super Bowls have you won in the last decade?
@radien239 Might I add that was the first time since 1999 that the Redskins swept a division series with the Giants. Toss in another comment 2 mos down the line. pro-football-reference has "advanced passing" stats which takes a QB's stat and compares it to a three year average of all QB's, which then ranks a QB and his stat to the "era". Taking all QB's over 1500 attempts ALL TIME, Favre's "advanced passing" ranking in terms of INT % is 118th out of 166. He never gave Rodgers any advice, which is probably a good thing. Rodgers might finish his career with better numbers than Favre. He already has something Favre doesn't: Super Bowl MVP. Why does everyone hate on favre? nobodys perfect. Name a quarterback whos had an ABSOLOUTE PERFECT season. see you cant. get off his fuckin back cuz hes one of the best quarterbacks of all time
@ScorpionLaxFan4 To this day, I still believe that he deliberately threw this pass so his buddy Strahan could go to the Super Bowl and get a ring of his own. Ryan Grant is WIDE OPEN right in front of him and he doesn't even look his way. He throws it to the only receiver that is covered. We Packers fans still hate him for telling the team to fuck off and then going to their arch rivals for two years after screwing the Jets over.
@336kgf , I have to agree. In '05 he threatened to retire over Sherman, '06 he demanded a trade over Moss. He had the worst 2 seasons of his career. My opinion is that he was sandbagging. @IHCTerra But he did have more touchdowns, passing yards, wins, 4th qtr comebacks, consecutive starts and victories than any other QB. I know he played for a long period of time but still thats impressive.
@enjoyitbro going back to your comment about playing a long time. It also contributed to his all time negative records also. Picks, Fumbles, sacks, pick 6s, second most losses ever, most playoff losses, most playoff picks and most playoff pick 6s. Favre played great at times, If that was all he did, people would have an argument that he is the greatest. but that was about 1/3 of his career. Another 1/3 he was kind of mediocre. Another 1/3 is abysmal where he had 70 ratings. It all counts.
@ScorpionLaxFan4 Well you seem to answering your own question with "because he wasn't perfect". Did you miss the parts where Favre tried to be the de facto GM of the Packers and when Ted T didn't let him he threw a pity party for himself and tried to exact revenge with a bitter rival? Miss that part? I could live with the lost opportunities over 16 years, mostly due to INT's by Favre, but to have Favre put himself above the team and corrode it from within without for half a decade I couldn't.
@RDarth I know. I have gone over this play hundreds of times in my mind. He had time, the pocket was clean, Grant was coming open, the LB dropped off to cover the middle. How did he miss the smart and easy option again? How many times in his career did he just check-it to the back. Maybe a 1000. He knew where Grant was on the play and took the tougher option. He never did make great decisions in the tough spots. If Grant can break one tackle that play could have gone off 30 yards.
@gfscarface13 listen dumbass favre is a legend. u dont disrespect a legend in any way. whether music, film, or sports. u dont disrespect legends, stfu and have a good day
@gtcochran1 Yeah all thats stuff is in the Regular Season, and what happens in the PLAYOFFS when it counts???
CHOKES like there is No Tomorrow!!!
CHOKE ARTIST BRETT FAVRE!!!
The Biggest CHOKER I've seen, and thats not even hating, cant find a Bigger CHOKER than Brett Favre in the Big Playoff games with the season on the line.
@gtcochran1 Should be 2 regular season MVP's, not 3 cause Barry Sanders was clearly the Lone MVP in 1997 but the media had their lips so close to Favre's nuts they couldn't resist to vote for him too.
Barry Sanders real lone 1997 NFL Season MVP
Yeah Only 1 superbowl (wasn't even named SuperBowl MVP), should have won 2 superbowls but he CHOKED S.B. XXXII with his Stupid 2 Turnovers costing the packers 10 Points!
and lack of accuracy in the 4th quarter helped the broncos win the Superbowl.
@gfscarface13 what the hell? barry sanders? he was good but favre's #'s were fantastic in 97? and he should have been named MVP. howard returned 1 punt for a TD. that was b.s
@gtcochran1 Howard totaled a Super Bowl record 90 punt return yards & 154 kickoff return yards with one touchdown; his 244 all-purpose yards also a Super Bowl RECORD. His performance won him the Super Bowl MVP award. Barry ran an NFL record 14 consecutive 100 yard games, including two 200 yard games, Total rushing for 2,053 yards. In reaching 2,000 yards, became only third player to do in a single season & first since O. J. to rush for 2,000 yards in a span of 14 consecutive games.
@gfscarface13 have you watched that hole game did you not notice favres tds in that game or how about thedropped passes they wernt to blame at all or how bout the d fence not stopping anybody brett favre is one of the all time greats to play the possision and the game
@sackattack46 SuperBowl XXXII or this game? Yes I've seen both games. And thanks to Brett with his Wonderful Beautiful Pass to the other team the opposing team won.
@chillibeans22 LOL No I didn't use wiki and I could say they same thing to you about using wiki for saying how many td's he threw in a paticular game. Your absolutely right he still hollds the records and is a first ballot hall of famer. I wished he would have retired as a Packer but If I was that talented I would want too play as long as I was able. I agree as well I don't won't Favre texting me or my Mom either LOL
@chillibeans22 Yes I did I remember when he was with the Falcons came in after Miller got hurt and threw two picks against the Redskins (91) When he came in against the Bengals when Majokowski got hurt and started his amazing streak92 Losing to the Cowboys nfc champ game 95 and winning the Super Bowl 96. Favre is a first ballot hall of famer but the fact is he lost some HUGE games. His dick texting hurt his legacy and the Packers are the champs 2010. You got OWNED and gave me bad gas Chillibean
@toddky32 Not to mention that he has a 4-7 record in the playoffs since his last Superbowl appearance in '98. So basically the last 12 years he's been living off what he did in the 90's.
@GetDatSteak Yes I know it's a team sport, but throwing 21 or more INT's 6 times (3 of those years he lead the league in the in INT's) had more to do with his poor play. Just like his 3 straight MVP awards had more to do with his good play.
@chillibeans22 You're lecturing me to watch football? You have to NOT watch football to make the assumption you seem to be making re Brett Favre's failures as a quarterback.
QB's throw interceptions. Get over it. People are fucking stupid to not see what Brett Favre did in Green Bay. It's videos like this, and fans that don't appreciate Favre that are a disgrace to the Packers organization.
oh yes.surprise surprise. thanks favre. this was that pivotal point in the game where he killed all chances green bay had of winning. i believe at this point i was on the floor crying out "noooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Anyone notice Ryan Grant wide open ? I am so glad hes gone he always fucked Greenbay over in the playoffs and now hes doing it to the vikings LOL. The retard could have been to 2 superbowls in 3 years if he wasnt such a choke artist
the most painful play I have ever seen in packer history.. but I still love ya brett. There were so many cirumstances in this game where there is no way favre is to blame for this loss, least not entirely on him!
A forty below zero temperature isn't exactly conducive to a big passing game. Maybe if Ryan Grant had shown up for that game Favre wouldn't have had to try and win it all by himself.
Wow when brett threw it Driver just stood there for the ball instead of steppuing up to catch it like the defender did Brett didn't throw a bad pass, The defender just made an amazing play aginst Donald so for all you guys who think it's all favre's fault FUCK YOU
gfscarfag...Brett favre fails miserably year after year? It seems to me he plays consistantly good year after year. Look at Drew Brees in 2008 (8-8) record. Jay cutler has never had a winning season in his 4 years in the league. Favre is good and you know it!
@MrLuckyduck22 When people say he fails miserably year after year, they are referring to his postseason play. Just look at his performances over the past 10 years against The Rams, Falcons, Eagles, Giants and Saints. Much like Manning he has impressive stats but only has 1 Superbowl to show for it.
If Favre sucks so bad then why does he win some many games? 13-4 in 2009. Look at all the years favre played great. Yeah he makes mistakes just like rodgers, manning etc....DUH
@gfscarface...I see you on all these favre videos hatin' on brett, get a life loser. Yay favre throws some ints, so what? Hes a good QB. He had more passing yards againest the saints then brees had. And I bet if he wasn't hit illegally about three times that game he would have played better too
I Swear of all the Years I have Watch Sports since the early 90's I have Never Ever Ever seen a big name like Brett Favre FAIL so Miserably like Brett Favre Year after Year in the playoffs with Stupid Turnovers INTERCEPTION AFTER INTERCEPTION AFTER INTERCEPTION in Key Playoffs Crunch Time Situations.
And I hear Nothing But Excuses by Brett Favre Apologist. Its Never Ever his Fault with these people.
@MAXIMONT ACTUALLY U COCKSUCKER HES THE ONLY REASON THAT NEW YORK ISNT STILL THE LOW DOWN PIECE OF SHIT TEAM THEY ALWAYS HAVE BEEN GO STICK A 2 FOOT LONG DILDO UP UR ASS
Funny enough, the worst pick of favre's playoff career had to be that philly game playoff game. That was just absurdly bad. The run was working to perfection and he just chucks up a deep ball right to dawkins...doesn't get more brett favre than that.
my first full packer game was vs seattle in the playoffs, havent missed a game since (telivized) luckily, i dont remember that int, and i dont plan on digging in for the replay of it lol this one was bad enough
game wasn't all favre's fault, yes he did cost them the game by throwing the pick, but 2 fumbles in the red zone contributed to that lost more than that pick.
Not to mention the O-Line couldn't keep a 40 yr old QB protected, letting him get hit 15 times, some which came late.
Also having that many of turnovers and yet still going into OT, Saints should be ashamed, and is highly likely going to get their ass handed by payton manning and the colts.
Um, he also threw a pick that setup a miss fg at the end of the 4th quarter. If tynes doesnt gag that fg, we never even get to overtime and brett wont have a chance to throw his 2nd ridiculous head scratching int.
....and this is why I don't miss Brett Favre. Rodgers wouldn't make a throw like that. Horrible pass! It put an end to that dream season. And he does it again last night. He never learns!
Brett, please just go away, stay away, and stop believing it's all about you.I know I like watching football, not a bunch of whinny overpaid ego filled soap operas.Every morning my back hurts,my knees hurt and I have yet to get addicted to painkillers.Doubt anyone would call me a hero rolemodel if I did take them illegally and then state oh my bad. Doubt Im any less than a totally annoying distraction if I may retire, no I wont year after year to my employer. Maybe Im respecting other to much!
Wow, and Vikings fans rubbed every playoff loss Farve ever threw away in the final quarter (2007 the most memorable) in our faces. Gosh, a Longwell fieldgoal away from the big gig and he totally threw it away .....AGAIN. After years of Farve soap operas of will I play, won't I play, and his never ending whinning, I gotta say in the end him playing for the Vikings and pissing away thier superbowl was the single greatest football moment Ive seen in the last 5 years after his never ending me me me
Rodgers in the 2nd half today is arguably one of the best playoff performances ever by a Packer QB. To put single blame on him for this loss is nonsense. If you watch the NFC Championship again, you will see that Favre played like shit the entire 2nd half.
at least the Cards D hit him and made a play. Rodgers didnt pull a Favre and think "I'm AR, I'm gonna throw through 3 sets of DB's hands and make a pass and be a hero"
@MAXIMONT You can make the same case for Rodgers, he through the game away for the packers like Favre. His first throw was a pick, and that was a very poor decision to throw it there, there wasn't even a wide-out in 5 yards. If the Packers could have kept that drive and at least scored a field goal, game won. First drive Rodgers killed them.
Thats fine. QBs make mistakes. That wasn't a game-killing INT there. That Cards game couldve gone either way, but the Cards D made a good play. The point is that Rodgers isn't blindly worshipped and grossly overrated with the luxury of having dozens of crippling INT's forgiven because "he loves the game". What a bunch of crap that is. Everyone in the NFL loves the game.
@MAXIMONT Yes QB makes mistakes, and does it matter if it the last play or first? No it shouldn't ,every play counts, and every single second counts or every single decision counts it all adds up in the wash at the end. Cards D did make a play, but Rodgers was the one that through it to them, why didn't he just throw it away? Out of bounds was 2 yards away from where he was. And I bet not "every" player loves the game.
Worst loss in Packer history? Of course, you must be referring to Nov. 1, 2009. Thats the day that Brett humilliated the entire Packer organization and dick slapped the hating fan base by smashing the Packers right in Lamblow. Ah yes, that was the worst loss in Packers history!
@dan4579 Then he humiliated Vikings fans and dashed your hopes of ever winning a Super Bowl before they move to Los Angeles. Think they will ditch the gay purple uniforms?
@Sconi71 Im not a Vikings fan, but a Packer hater, home of the most thankless, worst fans in the NFL. What a bunch of queers. I mean, if you have to constantly proclaim yourselfs to be the greatest fans in the NFL, your obviously not . Living in Packer nation sucks.
I doubt the Vikings will move to Los Angeles, as much as I want an NFL team in Los Angeles since I live in the greater Los Angeles area, I don't want the Vikings, I want the Rams back
@dan4579 he then would go on to injure his ankle, get publicly caught tryin to cheat but being denied, getting naked pictures of his dick posted everywhere on the internet, loose his wife/children,get his coach fired, loose the season for the vikings, have the worse season of his life, be hated by everyone who already didnt, and get swept by the packers the following season. As a packer loyalist ill take that november 1st 2009 humiliation to escape from that humiliation that the vikings now have
@gammster777 Lol, that was an absolutly great response, Ill give you that. Ol Brett still has many fans, and you'll probably come back around also, probably in 5 years for the Canton induction. Untill then, I guess hell have to wipe his tears with his millions. Other then that, I got nothing.
@dan4579 Well, it's obvious you don't know your facts. They said they didn't want him, and won't take him. So he had to find another team. Jets, then the vikings
@dan4579 Ahhhh but look now Favre sending dick slapping texts messages and the Packers are one win away from the Super Bowl. Ohhh they beat choke artists Farves ass twice in 2010 for the payback.
@trthorson No, not really. THis year sucked, no doubt about it. But November 1st, 2009 will always be the day you got spanked, and there is no erasing it.
Idk that I'd consider 38-26 a "spanking", especially when until the final minutes it was a 1 score game. But you can remember it like that if you'd like. I'll remember this year as the year when the Viqueens were put back in their place as the "HEY GUIZ CAN I PLAY WITH YOU THIS YEAR?" and like to think that they match up to a real rivalry like the Bears-Packers. I can at least respect the Bears as they stay away from people like Moss. Not so much the team you're all fan-boy for.
@trthorson I'm not a Vikings fan at all. I am a disgruntled fan of another team, and I live near Green Bay. I cant stand the way the fans proclaim themselves to be the best in the NFL all the time(which automatically disqualifies them from being that, doesnt it), the way the organization dumps good starters just cause they are due a signing bonus that the team agreed to(Nate Wayne), or sells people chunks of grass and worthless paper that says "stock" on it. That being said, congrats on the win.

you just described every fan of every team ever. perhaps you don't understand where the term "fan" came from (fanatic).
as for your criticisms of the packers as an organization, they've obviously done just fine through drafting. ex: getting rid of sterling sharpe for other up-and-coming d-backs that won't cost them $500 billion a year (read: nick collins, atari bigby). chunks of grass and worthless paper? lol you need an economics course (and that's all cash is anyway isn't it?)
NFL Network Top 10 CLUTCH Quarterbacks of All Time list release this year 2009 10 Dan Marino 9 Steve Young 8 Bart Starr 7 Otto Graham 6 Ken Stabler 5 Johnny Unitas 4 Roger Staubach 3 Tom Brady 2 John Elway 1 Joe Montana
Yeah you can point out the picks he threw in the playoffs. yes he's not been well known for clutch. And not many qbs are incredible clutch players. Its just not very common. Kurt Warner,Tom Brady,Ben Worthlisberger, joe montana. Legendary clutch
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
may you define choke artist? because if there is one great qb in teh nfl it its him, i was at his playoff game vs seattle a few years back, the most amazing thing ive seen in my life, i could hardly see the field and yet somehow he managed to throw perfect passes in the white out, also so what if he hasn't won that many superbowls, look at peyton manning, if you want to slander this guy you deserve to be beat to death
Peyton Mannin Never Ever Threw Interceptions in OT to lose playoffs games. When Peyton lost it was his defense and kicker missing field goals, see the Difference and where as Brett has the Ball in his hands he Turns the Ball over with his Risky Throws Interception after Interception. Since 2001 Playoffs Brett 14 TD's & 16 INT's thats not good in Crunch Time.
Brett is not in NFL Network & Sports Illustrated Top Ten Clutch QB's of All Time Lists. Whats does that tell you? Brett is not Clutch.
Anybody cheering for the giants must be fucking insane and retarted. Everyone hates the giants. People who cheer for them must have some brain damage. Oh yeah by the way, twice goes for the packer pukes of the world. They are even more disgusting. Slovenly fat cheesehead wearing inbreds, they make me ashamed to be from wisconsin, a state in which I unfortanutely reside. As viking fan I laughed my ass off, I watched little kids cry and pointed and laughed at them. GREEN BAY SUCKS
Enjoy him Minnesota. Ignore the hype and LIVE the January dissapointment us Green Bay fans put up with for nearly a decade, that is if he makes it to January. He is 95 in football years after all.
I seriously hope hes comes back again. I dont care if he sucks because even at his worst he is a lot better than many of these QBs in the league and football without Favre is just not the same. I dread the day a Peyton Manning or Ray lewis (most likely next season) or TO people i have watched since i was little argue retirement
just wondering, who cost the packers the chance to be in the super bowl? BRETT, and their D...but thats a different story, BRETT cost them the chance to be in the super bowl by throwing to the only guy on the field that was tightly covered, Jennings was open, Lee was open, hell even Grant was open.
Clever.

How did he miss the smart and easy option again? How many times in his career did he just check-it to the back. Maybe a 1000. He knew where Grant was on the play and took the tougher option. He never did make great decisions in the tough spots. If Grant can break one tackle that play could have gone off 30 yards.

@gfscarface13 3 MVP's and a superbowl. All im gonna say motherfucker
gtcochran1 7 months ago
@gtcochran1 Should be 2 regular season MVP's, not 3 cause Barry Sanders was clearly the Lone MVP in 1997 but the media had their lips so close to Favre's nuts they couldn't resist to vote for him too.
Barry Sanders real lone 1997 NFL Season MVP
Yeah Only 1 superbowl (wasn't even named SuperBowl MVP), should have won 2 superbowls but he CHOKED S.B. XXXII with his Stupid 2 Turnovers costing the packers 10 Points!
and lack of accuracy in the 4th quarter helped the broncos win the Superbowl.
gfscarface13 7 months ago
@gfscarface13 what the hell? barry sanders? he was good but favre's #'s were fantastic in 97? and he should have been named MVP. howard returned 1 punt for a TD. that was b.s
gtcochran1 7 months ago
@gtcochran1 Howard totaled a Super Bowl record 90 punt return yards & 154 kickoff return yards with one touchdown; his 244 all-purpose yards also a Super Bowl RECORD. His performance won him the Super Bowl MVP award. Barry ran an NFL record 14 consecutive 100 yard games, including two 200 yard games, Total rushing for 2,053 yards. In reaching 2,000 yards, became only third player to do in a single season & first since O. J. to rush for 2,000 yards in a span of 14 consecutive games.

I agree as well I don't won't Favre texting me or my Mom either LOL
toddky32 10 months ago
@chillibeans22 Yes I did I remember when he was with the Falcons came in after Miller got hurt and threw two picks against the Redskins (91) When he came in against the Bengals when Majokowski got hurt and started his amazing streak92 Losing to the Cowboys nfc champ game 95 and winning the Super Bowl 96. Favre is a first ballot hall of famer but the fact is he lost some HUGE games. His dick texting hurt his legacy and the Packers are the champs 2010. You got OWNED and gave me bad gas Chillibean
toddky32 10 months ago
@toddky32 Not to mention that he has a 4-7 record in the playoffs since his last Superbowl appearance in '98. So basically the last 12 years he's been living off what he did in the 90's.
landinmycourt 9 months ago 14
@landinmycourt are you kidding? hes been doing solid. the teams hes been on have had trouble thats the reason. its a team sport
GetDatSteak 6 months ago
@GetDatSteak Yes I know it's a team sport, but throwing 21 or more INT's 6 times (3 of those years he lead the league in the in INT's) had more to do with his poor play. Just like his 3 straight MVP awards had more to do with his good play.

gfscarface13 1 year ago
@MrLuckyduck22 When people say he fails miserably year after year, they are referring to his postseason play. Just look at his performances over the past 10 years against The Rams, Falcons, Eagles, Giants and Saints. Much like Manning he has impressive stats but only has 1 Superbowl to show for it.
landinmycourt 1 year ago

Funny enough, the worst pick of favre's playoff career had to be that philly game playoff game. That was just absurdly bad. The run was working to perfection and he just chucks up a deep ball right to dawkins...doesn't get more brett favre than that.
TheSlothook 2 years ago 2
@TheSlothook Yeah, that was really horrible. Looked like a punt.
DejectedPanda 2 years ago
my first full packer game was vs seattle in the playoffs, havent missed a game since (telivized) luckily, i dont remember that int, and i dont plan on digging in for the replay of it lol this one was bad enough
kumetis93 2 years ago
game wasn't all favre's fault, yes he did cost them the game by throwing the pick, but 2 fumbles in the red zone contributed to that lost more than that pick.
Not to mention the O-Line couldn't keep a 40 yr old QB protected, letting him get hit 15 times, some which came late.
Also having that many of turnovers and yet still going into OT, Saints should be ashamed, and is highly likely going to get their ass handed by payton manning and the colts.
BigRed3117 2 years ago
Um, he also threw a pick that setup a miss fg at the end of the 4th quarter. If tynes doesnt gag that fg, we never even get to overtime and brett wont have a chance to throw his 2nd ridiculous head scratching int.
TheSlothook 2 years ago 2
....and this is why I don't miss Brett Favre. Rodgers wouldn't make a throw like that. Horrible pass! It put an end to that dream season. And he does it again last night. He never learns!

Gosh, a Longwell fieldgoal away from the big gig and he totally threw it away .....AGAIN. RDarth 2 years ago 3
you still gonna said that after seeing rodgers missing a game winning OT TD in the playoff game against the cardinals?
and then he fumbles the game losing ball?
BigRed3117 2 years ago 2
No Deanna, I won't "said that".
Rodgers in the 2nd half today is arguably one of the best playoff performances ever by a Packer QB. To put single blame on him for this loss is nonsense. If you watch the NFC Championship again, you will see that Favre played like shit the entire 2nd half.
RDarth 2 years ago
at least the Cards D hit him and made a play. Rodgers didnt pull a Favre and think "I'm AR, I'm gonna throw through 3 sets of DB's hands and make a pass and be a hero"
MAXIMONT 2 years ago
@MAXIMONT You can make the same case for Rodgers, he through the game away for the packers like Favre. His first throw was a pick, and that was a very poor decision to throw it there, there wasn't even a wide-out in 5 yards. If the Packers could have kept that drive and at least scored a field goal, game won. First drive Rodgers killed them.
lifewithchrist7 1 year ago
MAXIMONT 1 year ago
@MAXIMONT Yes QB makes mistakes, and does it matter if it the last play or first? No it shouldn't ,every play counts, and every single second counts or every single decision counts it all adds up in the wash at the end. Cards D did make a play, but Rodgers was the one that through it to them, why didn't he just throw it away? Out of bounds was 2 yards away from where he was. And I bet not "every" player loves the game.
lifewithchrist7 1 year ago
he may have taken us to the superbowl but his last play as a packer no one will forget or forgive

@dan4579
