But completely different games: Orr went end-to-end to win that game and nobody has ever, before or since, done those rushes like Orr. Gretzky was all chess. More of a Bobby Orr goal than a Gretzky, Gretz was a sniper and playmaker, not a coast-to-coast skater, although I'm sure he could and did do it. This is really reminiscent of an aerly 70's Bobby Orr goal, who couId do that coast to coast work at will, never see another NHLplayer like that. Tim Kennedy will never do this in the show, that's for sure.

Dont concentrate on the shot, just replay and watch how he swerved to HIS left and hit THE GOALIES right pad. Iv never once seen a interference call on such a little imposition AFTER the puck crossed the line.

Lemieux is more of a neutral ice kind of guy since he is a forward he was capable of that if he wanted to and probably was the most talented player in NHL history even Bobby Orr said it himself but Orr actually did it often in his era where he would take the puck from behind the net and go coast-to-coast to score being a d-man he would have control of the puck more often then not behind the net that's why I think it would be Orr Style.

@mothercanuckers Yeah i was kinda thinking about that and watched some old lemieux footage and he normally got the puck around center ice and finessed his way past everyone. But the coast-to-coast skating took a toll on Orr's career with his knees and stuff. Really the only reason Lemieux isnt in wayne gretzky's position is because he got hodgkins lymphoma. but when he came back from treatment his scoring average was better than gretzky's

I personally prefer Lemieux over Gretzky myself just because not only could he produce like Gretzky but he could do more as well and didn't need anyone else on his team he could literally take above average guys like Kevin Stevens and make them look like superstars and Mario would dominate on the ice you couldn't hit him off the puck because not only was he strong and a terrific skater, he had great hands as well and had a very accurate shot he would hit one off the post easily

i dunno as a goalie i'd say that goalie should have had a talk with the ref about that one,becuz it doesnt look like he shot it at all it looks like he just plowed right into the goalie and it went in, which shouldn't be a goal, and even if he did shoot just as he got to the goalie, he then plowed into him taking away his chance to stop the puck which you can't do, this play is the same as having a defenseman shooting from the point then having another player pushing the goalie out of the net,
