One of the most important airlines that flew on africa, but also transatlantique. With his large dc-10, B747 B737 Airbus,... it was one of the largest european airlines.

today I saw on the television that sabena bought in the order of swissair 43 airbusses. when they only needed 17. that was the reason the bankrupted.

yes indeed, 14 to replace the 737-200's and 4 more. But the CEO Muller want to buy 28 airplanes and Swissair forced them to buy 34 airplanes.

I took a SABENA flight from Bruxels to México City many, many years ago. This was a great airline. Too bad it went bankcrupt.

yea a sad story for a great airline .i remember there daily flights in and out of dublin intl ireland cmon belgium bring sabena back
