Tom was upset because Goudreau's commented on one video that he was "with Boston" (which he hasn't been in 30 years) and implied Boston supported Huckabee. That video is no longer on You Tube. If you want to see what the lawsuit was over, please look at it; it is online in many places...Tom did not sue Barry Goudreau.

I have the Lisa Guyer featuring Barry Goudreau (She sings in this video I think), and "Delp Goudreau" from like 2004. The work by RTZ with Goudreau et al is nice.

That might be what they consider, but watch Goudreau play in the RTZ videos. His style is evident in a lot of the original Boston music. So even if being correct means calling Tom the "lead guitarist", the Goudreau influence is impossible to miss. Sheehan said in an interview that Sholz and Goudreau played dual leads so well because Sholz picked up a lot of Goudreau style when he was developing on the guitar. If I can find that interview again, I'll post the link. It's a good read.

The fact that a candidate Scholz doesn't support is using his song no doubt had an influence on his decision. However, Scholz has been known to defend his music, as well as the Boston name, whenever it has been used without his permission, which is the reason Boston has gone through so many member changes throughout the years. Fran and Anthony Cosmo (recent Boston members) were taken to court for playing Boston music at their concerts without Tom's permission.

Without music, Huckabee would be a great candidate. With music, he is even better. Its nice to see a candidate who can be serious about politics, and rock out when he needs to.
