  • Ha I hit 157 on my bike. :)

  • lol this here where i live

  • Real men ride liter bikes!

  • @armigerlives liter ? what like cat litter as in for shit ?

  • @alanratboyrichards Liter Bike, as in 1000cc displacement or higher.

  • @armigerlives ha ha right over my head - now i know-cheers

  • This some og 36 mafia .. tight song great vid

  • i can do that in my car just sayin

  • Shoudve just let us here the bike not the music ..I love the way my thundercat roars on the highway...vrrrrroooommmmm

  • he gets up to 150mph and the cam moves out of position

  • he gets up to 150mph

  • each to there own music tasts

  • What a sad person to upload a video with music like this. You should be ashamed.

  • slow

  • I off coarse push mine to the red line when I want to go fast then I shift that is what sport bikes are built for

  • but a gsxr 750 can't do it either there are few bikes that can hit those speeds I see all the time people think they hit 175 and 180 speedos on bike are normally off thats why there is gps.

and to the guy that has the gsxr don't take me wrong I actually wanted one over a yamaha but I had to go with something with less miles and better taken care of.

all bikes fast also I don't know why it took him so long to hit that speed when he hit 60 mine would be brushing 100 so maybe he is not pushing it

  • these bikes are not that slow and as far as a gsxr I was riding with someone just last week that has a gsxr 750 and from stop to 130 I can stay with him easy I have only been riding for 3 months he has been riding for 13 years and as far as me playing with a gsxr I can take them off the line pretty easily these bikes make there power down low and hold it all the way through a smooth power band.

mine is a 2004 yzf 600r thundercat these don't have the power to do the so claimed 180 a 750 claims

  • slooooowwww as fuck. my gsxr will hit 150 in about a quarter of the time that this thing takes and it tops out at like 173

  • slooooowwww as fuck. my gsxr will hit 150 in about a quater of the time that this thing takes and it tops out at like 173

  • mine does 165mph

  • @MetallicSnipe same here man, but mines a '96 genesis with alot of engine work...is yours stock?? man yzf600s are fast as hell...keep up with som older 1000s

  • @sinofallsinners yea mines stock, only aftermarket thing on it is an art end can and full stainless steel system, the origional exausts just rot straight through. yea the cat can keep up but you gotta rev the shit outta it like any 600, get to those power bands :) i'm trading in it though for an '01 Aprilia RSV1000 mille, that should be fun

  • @MetallicSnipe nice i hope u like it!! but who couldnt its a RSV1000

  • I have a 2002 600r with 34,000miles on it and find myself gettin up to 140 with no problems, how do I make it faster top end wise, do I always have to sacrifice acceleration for top end......?

  • i have a 2002 and im 260 lbs it does about 140-150mph

  • the 600R was fast enough to win an AMA championship back in 1996 in the Supersport class. these little bitch kids that can't pay homage to where their new sportbikes came from are mostly posers. i love my 600R, i just clicked over 56,000 miles on her. there's a damn good reason they sold the bike for ten years straight (or more if you count the YZF600 (not 600R) from 95-96. even longer if you consider how similar it is to the FZR it replaced. that's a lot of performance from very little motor.

  • @tooljoker197 Good post, and I agree! I still love the 90's sportbikes, the Zx6E model was one of my favorites! The YZF 600 and Ninja Zx6e were fast (as fast as 99% of riders need), and very comfortable imo(and I'm a bigger guy).

Considering you can buy a good 98' 600r for around $2500, you'll have comfort and still be able to smoke 99.999% of cars on the road with ease..all for less than $3k...

Not only that, there is nothing like riding.. Just cruising at night is one of my favorite memories

  • My Thundercat made the other day 240km/h with 2 up, I got very impressed, never had pushed it so far ;)

  • yeah my "96 genesis will do 160 no problem

  • i have a question.i have 1 the same from 98 and it wont stay at idle rev.she revs up to 3000 and wont come down,do u have any ideea wats the problem,?,i check the idle cable, the accelerate cable, the choke, pls if u know write back

  • @ionuttatoo

Have you cleaned the carbs recently? Try replacing the plugs then re'adjusting the tick over it may run slower then?

  • @02pattersonp the plugs ther fine, ther just right, but the carbs i didnt mess with them cuz i dont wanna mess them up,its possible to a carb to be offset and thats whay she does that?

  • What year? I got a 97 havnt toped it out yet been to about 145 maybe a few mph lower 140 maybe... the speed dont scare me as much as passing a cop

  • hmm must be bone stock with a 250lb rider

  • This music sucks ass. What a loser.

  • he has a different taste in music to u and hes a loser? hmmmm...

  • @benfirst hes probably white to. nice bike, shitty music

  • sweet!

  • so maybe someone can help here... is it better to go smaller front or larger rear rear sprocket for acceleration as i am not interested in top end but how quick i can get to 110mph.

  • quicker with a bigger sprocket in the rear and smaller in the front more torque faster you will go but not top speed wise... you will loose top end speed but with the torque you will get up and go faster.....

and bro this isnt top speed unless its cause i have an 07 but i been at 175-177 with the same bike but like i said it might be because it was the 07!

  • sorry guys a 90s yzf will top around 145. Speedo error is HIGH on these (160 indicated)

  • @wirelessoptical you must not know what ur talking about i own a 96 yami 600 i have had it at 150 with more room to go and my buddy has an 08 600 he was right behind me he has a digital speedo both of ours are wrong huh

  • @whiteguy2369 He's not kidding, most motorcycles are way off the faster you go. A digital speedometer doesn't mean anything. Borrow a gps and you'll see.

  • @whiteguy2369 if you have changed to a 120/70 front tire your speedo should be failry accurate. but no you don't have 'more room to go' at 150. learn to calculate how far 100 crank hp/85 rwhp can push something that weighs that much with so much air resistance. you run out of hp to overcome resistance, simple as that.

  • @tooljoker197 i have taken a gps with that difference was 6mph and my buddy was behind me with his 08 his digital speedo read the same as mine maybe the gps is wrong too lol

  • my cat goes 160mph/260kmh, with 52 195 meilen/84 000 km i like the cat !!! no problems !!!

  • my 06 bangs the rev limiter at 160. I pull 5th gear for all its worth before hitting 6th. First time I topped out I completely let off the throttle and it felt like it was going to throw me over the handle bars! By the way it was a rush avoiding a simple land turle crossing the road!lol Road rash is hell!

  • hey viperman, you said a bike his redline at 160 mph? what's redline mean?

  • Like the vid :) I have a tickled 95 YZF 600 r GENESIS I have seen the speedo where 330 lives and if lots of this is due to error of a small front wheel , how do i fit a larger one when the smallest of rocks (bit smaller than a bic pen end cap) runs through the tyre to guard gap and sounds like the brake disc is gettin a rock jammed and scoring ..... ps... yes its only a 600 mine has seen 200+ kph many times and does 100 at about 4400 rpm ya gotta wait a bit for 300K and tuck in good!!!

  • not bad, my S4 tt pulls that beyond 120 with ease.

  • when you say hwy49 hub city, are you referring to hattiesburg, ms? If so do you ever ride out to industrial on thursday nights for bike night?

  • Thats a damn shame. Mines a 97 and will do 165mph. Stock sprockets and all.

  • 165mph on stock sprockets? 6th gear on a 600R redlines at 160mph, so that would be impossible. The speedometers are known to be 10% off until corrected with a bigger front tire or other adjustment.

Also, a 600R doesn't have the power to go that fast. An R6 can barely do it with 130bhp. Compare this to the 600Rs 95.

  • Whatever man. I only weigh a buck twenty. Fact: was clocked that fast by my cuz. N.C Highway Patrol. Dont believe me hit my email and I'll let him tell ya himself.

ALSO......tell Capt. Pie wassup. Aint been on 600r in awhile. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE MAN.. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

  • It doesn't matter if your modified your bike to have 9 billion horsepower and you weighed 5 ounces. You still won't get that fast because the bike hits redline at 160.

  • you mean ... limiter.... douche

  • No, I don't mean rev limiter as opposed to redline.

They are the same thing, you semantics arguing retard.

  • dude you have no idea. you and your cb750 suck go find a bridge. then find the ground under it. good bye

  • lol, k.

  • whats the song is playing here?

  • remix of Who run it- Three 6 Mafia

    MAFIA!!!

  • It was 240 km/h ?

  • you wanna get your bike looked at. my r6 does 164mph and its a 2001 model

  • yfz 600r not r6

  • at that speed there is no chance of living through a crash !!!!

  • You think he doesn't know that?

  • i never would've guessed that one.

  • there is he might get trown of and land on a massive blow up castle thier's no such thing as cant everything can be done ^^

  • well as long as your wearing proper gear.. jacket pants, boots helmet and gloves you would be a little bruised and road rashed but youd be fine unless you hit something... then youd be dead.

  • I don't think you realize that the impact alone from hitting something at 20mph will fuck you up enough to be in pain for a week.

  • Force = Mass X acceleration

    600 is what? 400lbs fully fueld? + a 160 pound rider?

    560 x 150 mph = a fuckload of force! :o

  • Yes, force = mass * acceleration.

There is a problem with your numbers though.

560 * 150mph is mass * speed, which is momentum, not force.

Also, the YZF600R weighs about 450lbs wet, but that's just nit picking.

Anyway, I thought I'd throw in this fact: wind drag is an exponential force. Doubling your speed means the drag is eight times stronger.

  • thats why you choose carefully when to open it up , ive got a ZZR600 and it`ll do 160 with a bit left but had to ease off cause my ears were going to pop due to flip front helmet letting in too much wind noise

  • I disagree, I went down at 45, 2 days ago (no joke, my bike is now a streetfighter) I'm a little bruised but I'm just fine. Proper full set of gear will go a long, long way. @45 my gear is still in amazing condition and looks just about new. (textile, not leather)

  • Did you fall off, or did you hit something? And pain for a week doesn't mean hospital for a week. Just aches.

  • Wanna see a car much more exclusive?

    Thats a Monza 24V !!!!

Please enter this into the searchfield of youtube:

Opel Vauxhall Monza GSE 24V 204 HP

As you can see this car sounds an goes better, dont miss it!!

  • yea ofc thats much more exlusive but how much cost that? yea maybe 20* more like this....

  • im thinkin bout gettin one... ive never ridden a street bike before tho all ive driven is a honda trx450r quad(i own it).. it only tops out at 75 tho ha

  • Thats what these bikes are built to do. Smart one...

  • 150mph isn't hard to get on a sport bike. If this was a Harley, the story would be different.

Modern sport bikes have high revving engines with almost all priority to top end power and none to bottom end, whereas the "conventional" bikes have lots of torque at any speed but no real power to speak of.

For example, the 1340cc Harley Davidson Evolution engine makes only 50HP with 70lb-ft, whereas the 600R's makes about 95hp with 45lb-ft. Top speed: 105mph vs 150mph.

  • still with a 15 front and 47 back tooth sproket?

  • damn thats fast. what stage jetting is on it. nice keeping up wiht the r6

  • i got a 96 600 and it only tops out at 144. does this got like a smaller rear sproket or what??or is the speedo that off

  • i have a 2001 yzf-600r w/ a full exhaust and jet kit. I have had that up to 179 mph next to my friends 2002 yzf-r6 on I-95.

  • It's a great bike, like brokengonzo I've got one and I love it.... Thank fu*k mine didn't come with that soundtrack though!

  • is that mph or km/h

  • of course mph

  • i own a thundercat an i have to say they make a great first bike there nippy enough an there just so comfortable so my opinion is hell of a bike especially considerin my 2000 model only cost me 2 grand only has 7000 miles an is mint plus really nice colors(blak, gold, silver)

  • How good is insurance/comfort? I want to go to a YZF600 after selling my Ninja 250. The main reason I don't want to get a RR rated bike is because of their comfort and insurance rates.

  • well im 21 an my insurance is 840 quid third party fire an theft also as far as comfort goes its a hell of a bike i rid me mates 636 an the difference is unreal course its quicker but only by about 12 mph plus its 1400 to insure i personally tink u shud test rid one an if you think its fast enough(it can always be made quicker)then yeah buy it for comfort especially if your an all year rider

  • would a thundercat beat a cbr f2/f3?

  • get this weeks MCN mag, they do a used 600 test with a 2002 cbr600f, zzr600 and yzf600r.

  • thx, i'll now head into the city to get it, I think i'll end up getting an old zx6r though and smoke all the old 600's

  • np dude.

haha, sounds like a plan, if u can afford the insurance! i'm thinking of getting a naked 600, properly quick but they go for pennies in comparison. money no object, wht would b ur dream bike?

  • 2002 gsx-r 1000 but ima just stick to 600 for now till i am a better rider its my first bike so..

  • nice, the 98 600r says top speed 151 on the specs, got it to 145, what year is this??

  • 600 or 1000

  • 600, thundercat is 600. the thunderace is 1000

  • cool?

  • THE SONG IS RICK JAMES :D YEAH YEAH YEAH

    hahaha (chappele show:D)

  • used to have a 99 600R I had that thing register a littler over 165 on I35 near the miller plant. I ghetto rigged a digital speedometer for a bike to the front wheel, calibrated it, and mounted the display on the triple tree i could only get a little over 150 actual speed with the speedo saying about 167 or so. I was too cheap for a GPS! HA! not a bad bike just the gear box sux, don't be suprised if the dogs on 2nd gear wear the fuck out quick and it starts slipping out of gear!

  • I have a stock 98 600r. Ive had the speedo reading 155 and I think it coulda gone farther.

  • my 06 stock with 3500 miles will hold 150 and bang 160. thats on a hot texas day and a good stretch of hwy

  • Not bad for the cat. What year and work was done. I have 2003 with stage 1 jet kit with Yosh pipe. Geared 14f and 49r

  • cool stuff man

    liked the soudtrack also

    what music is that?

  • PROPS! I had a ball watching. To hell with the SPEED of the bike!!! Dude WENT THAT FAST while concerned about a damn video camera getting the shot. Hahaha THAT'S the crazy part!!! Props... but speed is what is taking the lives of bikers. My best-man is an E.R. surgen. I don't know you personally so I'm de-sensitized... but that bike will be the death of you. HOLLA. C U on the other side.

    B.Kyle

  • my 1969 trident will pull 150mph

so this isnt anything impressive to me

  • yeah, around three times the standard highway posted speed is nothing... ;) some people are hard to impress

  • What yr is this bike?

  • ya right you little bitch

  • what the fuck you got mother fucker. how bout i show you a little bitch
