I love your stuff, and so helpful since I purchase my D7000. Question: do you have a pdf. or similar showing all the settings for the projects posted on Youtube? It would be great to have a notebook in my camera bag that I could refer to when a great shot opportunity arises. Tom in the Philippines
Hi, i have followed the tips in this video, and i managed to do some great shots. I've used the Canon EOS 500D and the Sigma 80-400 EX OS...hope you enjoy.
good tutorial.i have a question though.why did u turn off long exposure noise reduction? turning it off simply shows some noise in the outcome of the pic.
My tripod has a hook under the center shaft, what is it for and if I hook a heavy bag onto it will it give me the same result as putting the bag onto the camera?
The hook on bottom of the center column on some tripods could be used to hold sandbag as counterweight but this would not work. It "pulls" your camera down but when camera's shutter mirror raises and drops, your camera tilts backward and forward. Adding a sandbag on top of the setup "pushes" your camera down to keep it level when depressing the shutter release button.
It wasn't our fault. This was our third attempt to upload the video. YouTube's stupid background maintenance kept messing up the long uploading process. It was just uploaded, successfully, this morning,
Excellent video, shame the weather didn't hold up but what is fantastic is that you take advice from the comments and actually implement them into you video! Love the contents page (though i watched the whole thing :D) and love the example shots with info to the side. Very helpful, the best on youtube!
@Lilkiwiguy87 Yes i enjoyed the FAQ, helps to show some things i haven't thought about plus it is an efficient way to answer questions and allowing all your viewers to benefit from the questions you guys get asked.

The photograph you have in the video at 2:48 is stunning, I'd love that on my wall. Where was it taken?

Heh, thank you for the compliment.
We felt it was a good idea to include explanations and questions from the comments (when we replace a video, that is). It's becoming quote useful.
