it's too bad they've taken the country out of country music, now it's really just a group of young pop singers wearing cowboy hats and trying to tell the world they are country, very few ever rode on a horse, I real shame that money and the greed of nashville got in the way of making music
Hank Snow,an awsome talent ! I love this song.Charlie "Peanut" Faicloth was a co-writer (words and Music),with Cordia Volkmar. The sheet music shows their names above the name of Hank Snow, and copyright 1953 by Ernest Tubb Music,Inc.,Beverly Hills ,Calif. Peanut was a dear friend and on a visit to his home a couple years back he shared the music and story with me.He went to his eternal home with the Lord in this past march. Thanks for the verycoolsound !
My dad, Charlie Faircloth, wrote this song, along with many other country, bluegrass, and novelty songs over a long music career. He died last March at age 82. It's bittersweet to hear it again as we approach our first Christmas without him. Thanks for posting it.
