  • Any tips for getting the first few inches up? I can do a OAP if i go up the first 10% with both hands, but without it, i can barely lift myself. What should i train?... Hope you understand what im writing here:P

  • @t0rg3194

how are you helping yourself up with your other hand? are you reaching up holding your wrist then letting go? this might be counter productive to doing a OAP Try putting a rope around the bar near your hand and assist with your other hand around chest to stomach level. send me a message and I can try and help out more. also check out Beastskillsdotcom they have a great OAP tutorial.

  • Very very impressive. I cant get my chin above the bar, get stuck with my arm at like a 90 degree angle.

  • i hope to do this one day but for know i barley can do 2 pullups and few times i exceed my left arm feels inane pain not slight sorenees

  • lol try that on a ledge of a building

  • man i tried that and felt my joints in my elbow twitch! are they bad for you in the long term?

  • @absoluteabbs

probably, maybe a bicep tear. Depends on the person doing them.

  • @absoluteabbs That's just poor nutrition, you need more lean beef, lost of it. I used to have this problem.

  • @tryhardor I mean lots of it.

  • YOUR'RE THE MAN. WHENEVER I TRY, I CANT KEEP MY BODY FROM ROTATING. ANY SUGGESTIONS? I SUBSCRIBED.

CHECK ME OUT. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK. THANKS!

  • BRAVO, eso es realmente dificil amigo , mi sincera enhorabuena.

  • uncle iroh does it better, but na fureel good work man

  • yeah, if i wouldn't have legs i could do that either. but some people prefer to lift heavy and tell others that they did a 130 KG squat, or a 150KG deadlift. i'd prefer to be big than to post my beachboy body working out like this. although, respect for pulling yourself up with 1 hand...

  • mutha fukin BEAST!

  • You're kipping, but then again these are really hard to begin with so Im not going to give you hell for cheating.

  • are negatives the best way to be able to do one of these?

  • @Ericbranson3 i mean a one arm pullup

  • Класс! Мужик молодец!

  • WHOA! DAMN!

  • nice, really nice :)

  • Now, that's a strong bitch.

  • oh hai der, gegard mousasi

  • veeeery nice :)

  • /watch?v=tCfwdyeNZ-s

  • ...but can you stop the double-leg? lol

  • @ImpulsiveRush if you hold your wrist with other hand its almost the same as normall pulup.

  • @Hiphopisntdead1 I could do 4 holding my wrist with other hand, but did around 25 pullups. I can do 2-3 proper 1 arm pullups now :)

  • @ImpulsiveRush try to to with no other hands only with one hand and no kiping. i bet u cant do one

  • @biciuxlt I can do 4 one arm pullups with no kidding now. Trololo

  • you look less then 13 percent body fat

  • Very nice!

I don't see many big guys doing them- most of them seem to be 5.4 and 140lb..

You give my 6ft self some hope- I'v been training them for about a month now, with uneven pull ups.

  • you look like tarzan but i cant hate at all! ive been trying to do the one arm pull ups for at least 6 months and i can do 1 perfect one on each arm and then im sore for what seems like too long (2 days)

  • Ill get there one day... i hope

  • Any tips on keeping yourself from twisting around while doing the 1 armed pullup? That is always what gets me.

  • @Haloreznor99

I would like to know, maybe getting used to keeping my legs straight and use a higher bar.

  • @Haloreznor99 try using your wrist strength to prevent the twisting

  • Try keeping your center of gravity under your hand makes the oap harder but look better

    @Haloreznor99

  • @Haloreznor99

just keep doin it.....it takes a million reps, is what our football coaches used to say in practices.

u keep doin it and one day ure whole apparatus from the fingers all the way down to the toes will adjust to the exercize by getting stronger and voilá!!!

jus dont forget to switch it up though, like dis guy in the vid, if u dont wanna look like a freak...like a real 1-arm-bandit or somthin like that 1 day lol or a passionate masturbater hahahaha

  • @Haloreznor99 the next progression from this, is what rock climbers train, the offset one armer which requires stabilisation across the back, chest and core muscles and lifts the body straight out to the side, but is an altogether more difficult exercise for those that train in a typical gym setting, because most gym movements are symetrical.

  • @ImpulsiveRush u probly wiegh 75 pounds huh o_O LOL KIDDIN GOOD JOB

  • @ivantot017 Well I weigh around 155 but weight doesnt matter. If you regulary do pullups then when you start to gain weight you just adjust to it naturally.

  • GI JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOE!

  • /watch?v=4jIGg5LO6to look this

  • impressive, VTL.

  • @ImpulsiveRush well idk but my brother at 16 was able to do 30 and he was 220pounds with a mix of fat and muscle but me when i started at 15 i was able to do 1 pull ups then in 2week went to 15pullups i mean its easy to do like 20pullups but after that u are slowing down and the real deal is muscleups and one arm pullups

  • @Polojine1 Yeah, I can do 1 muscle up atm, I tried it about a week ago and it was really hard. I still can't do 1 armed pullups without assist but hopefully I can do one soon.

  • this is where monkeys are stronger then humans, monkeys do that shit daily for like 2 hours a day.

  • damn you. i'm still trying to do a one arm pull up. great work!

  • Amazing strength.

  • Badass, one of my goals before this friggin year is over

  • I can only do 10 full rom chinups, but can barely do 5 full rom pullups. what gives?

  • @GotAnEyedea Pullups rely mostly on your back & lats but chin ups bring your biceps more into the equation. Persist.

  • @ImpulsiveRush If you can do 14 full arm pullups after only a week, that is very, very good. Lots of people have to train to be able to do one pullup with proper form.

  • You're the man! I wanna be like you. Respect, dude!

  • @ImpulsiveRush

14 full rom pull-up is good. Holding on to your wrist is basicly a two arm pull-up, If you want to do a true one arm/hand pull-up. over time lower your hand down your arm until you aren't useing it. Google beastskills they have a good one arm tutorial on there site. I never trained I just did attempts until I got it along with my weighted pull-ups.

  • @ExtremistPullup I can hold my weight on my right hand attempting the one arm pullup now, but I can only pull myself up from a deadhang about half way then it almost seems like I hit an invisible barrier that I can't pull myself over :(

  • its a jersy thing

  • wow. That´s awesome

I´m training for it myself. So I have a question:

At what pint of doing weighted pullups were you able to do a one armed?

I´m currently at bodyweight +50% so i wanna know how long the road still is ;)

Thanks for your answer and train hard!

  • @sup3rnatural666

I was able to do a one arm pull-up when I could do 165 lbs at 190 lbs bodyweight.

pulling from one arm isn't the same as pulling double weight with two arms. I say it takes more practace.

  • @sup3rnatural666 i was able to do a 1 arm pull up when i could do about 55 pull ups 103 pounds 13 yrs old(;

  • That's certainly impressive. This must've been asked before during the past five years, but I can't see it anywhere... What barbell weight was your max for bicep curls/similar exercises when you shot this video? It'd be interesting to find some kind of body weight vs. bicep strength ratio that you need to do this.

  • @Charlie18009

At the time of this video I was doing 115 preacher curls 4 sets of 5, I can still do one arm pull-ups left and right at 200 lbs. My current max barbel curl is 135 standing for 3 reps. there is a video of it on my main page in the contest "workout video".

  • How can anyone possibly criticize this video?

Holy shit dude. You are my hero.

  • omg thats impressive. and you arent a skinny bruce lee type, usually those are the people who can do that

  • @xNL7x

    cheatin ? ... good pullups !!!!!!!

  • I've been doing pull ups/chin ups for years with relative ease. But could never master One Arm. What's the trick? Just brute strength?

  • @calif562 Yep

  • very very good!

  • Nice work man!

  • @xNL7x

    You're bitchin'

  • oh my god.. why is there so much flaming?! i cant come close, this guy has alot of raw fuckign strength.

  • this is very hard to do...no question .....but .... it looks terrible

  • stud. i used to be able to do this, now i weigh 260 and i'm lucky if i can get eight in a set with both hands

  • I seriously thought that bar was going to break off

  • @xNL7x

Its always the people who dont do them makes these comments post your video on how to do them

  • @ExtremistPullup how the heck do you do that lol not to long ago a lot of people in my gym were trying that...... that is really hard!

  • if you can do only 1 or 2 one hand chin ups or pull ups is that still good? lol

  • Thats a chinup

  • you must have been watching another video. When you have an over hand grip and pull your self up in front of it its a pull-up.

  • when you did it with the right arm i was ok i probably can do that. then with the left arm i was (no can't be) wow nice man!

  • hypahbeef yo!

  • I'm 5'8 200lbs muscular build and I'm stuck at doing 5 pull ups with rings or on the bar. I notice that guys that weigh less, slimmer build seem to be able to do much more pull ups and much easier. But i'm going to continue to practice until I break the plateau.

  • @ILLINOISISCORRUPT

Its all about how your muscles are shaped. Doing curls and pullups both work the biceps for example, but doing curls wont really help you do more pull ups, even though your strengthening your biceps.

  • Cool Video!

Check my page i just made a pull up Video!!!

  • yOUR A bEAST BRO, I SAW THIS quite awhile ago. Still pretty crazy, especially in the fact that youre doing both sides.....coordination bubba lol

  • @980GARZA

Weight matters, in that a lighter person will always have a easier time then the heavier person with endurance. unless the heaver person is just very strong. Being 200 lbs isn't an advantage to be being 130 lbs. Height also plays a role shorter people are natural lighter.

I'm not going to try and break and endurance records I am more suited for strength

  • well, if you somehow fall off a cliff and grab the edge at the last second, you won't need to be helped up now

  • My self esteem has just been lowered.

  • dispite the form, that looks pretty damn impressive

  • Love the look of the arms, nice work!

  • dude that looks hard as fuck

  • the secret to easy 1 arm pullups:

    - low weight

    - low muscle mass

    - short limbs

miss any of those and your learning curve just increased by a billion.

  • @thepineapple1 haha yep im 5"5' 130 and can do 5 of these with one arm

  • well done, what ethnicity are you?

  • nice :)

  • is this the steve reeves fitness machine?

  • you seem like a navy seal

  • goodwork,excellent form.

  • how can i practice to do that?

  • nice to see a big guy like yourself be able to do one hand pull ups

  • ok..i can do this to if i take 100kg of creatine and proteins.....see you dude..;)

  • AWESOME man! I wish I coudl do that! :( I cant even do

  • You are a ninja.

  • is there any kind of special technique on learning to do pull ups better? im joining the marines and i would like to rep out 15 real pull ups. i can get 8 real ones right now

  • sorry i meant pull ups not pushup

  • @AnCierciello And your point is?

  • Awesome dude. How long did it take to get there?

  • @search4progress

not very long I just did attempts and was able to do it shortly I have done weighted pull-ups for a long time. I did it again recently same story never trained for them.

  • @ExtremistPullup you strong motherfucker !! omg

  • Insane man, props.

Btw, I can do over 12 pull-ups with good form, and 20 whilst swinging a little bit. How many double handed pull-ups will I need to be able to consistently do before I can do a single single handed pull-up?

  • @federeriscol seven thousands

  • props my brother

  • dang how long did it take to do them?

  • impressive

  • using your legs alot for leverage and momentum...form needs some work

  • @liquidvison It's a one arm pull up for Christ's sake. Everbody turns into fitness experts when they get on the internet. Hop off Mr. NEGATIVE.

  • If someone says body weight doesn't make a difference, a 135 lb guy should be able to add 55 lbs and have no problem doing the same number of reps without it.

  • @ExtremistPullup lol you are totally wrong... more weight means you should be lifting more.. body weights does make diference what you achieved is the same as expecting a 130 lbs guy do 10 oac in a row which is a lot but you cant expect him to pull the same weight as you since he is lighter.. its very common to see guys weighting 220 lbs doing regular pushups at least for 1 rep but its very unusual seeing anyone anyweight even skinny do oac which would be the same or even less that pulling that

  • @ExtremistPullup Well it's all proportional to your bodyweight. You might be 135 pounds and able to do 25 dead hang pull ups.... but then again I could find a 135 pound person that could barely get one. Same goes for a 215 pound guy.

But if someone doesn't believe that strapping a 55 pound weight to yourself won't affect your pullup numbers... they might wanna learn that racking the barbell after a benchpress DOESN'T mean dropping it on your head. Brain cells do tend to help at times lol.

  • @ExtremistPullup everybody's body varies, a bigger guy has bigger muscles, a smaller guy has smaller muscles adding 55 pounds to a small guy is like adding 85 pounds to a heavy guy

  • I don't see why people are saying that your pull-ups don't count. Yeah, you may use momentum and swing but if someone believes that a pull up is just using a single muscle and requires your body to be rigid then they have no clue what they are talking about.

  • That's insane bravo man!

  • Gawwwwwd your arm is huge O.o Awesome stuff!

  • holy crap

  • its alot harder if you don't pull yours legs up, or wiggle around, just a simple, slow and smoothe motion

  • @commentwarstarter

Its a lot harder when you weight 190 lbs, do it as a Pull-up instead of a chin-up, and do it with your left hand.

  • @ExtremistPullup your own bodyweight shouldn't be an excuse for it being hard.

  • @dfjohn07

do you do one handed pull-ups

  • @ExtremistPullup not many but I can..pullups are a huge part of almost all of my workouts and I have been doing them for years since I am a boxer

  • @dfjohn07

you should upload videos of your pull-up training.

  • @dfjohn07 lol dfjohn07 are you a idiot of course your body weight makes a huge difference when doing pull ups, why don't you go to a gym and lift this dudes bodyweight on the lat pulldown machine see if you can do any at all.

  • @Baseshocks hmm thats inbteresting...youve got me thinking..is this as hard as trying to one handed lat pulldown 190?

  • @rctriplefresh5

no machine is same as a pull-up or one hand pull-up.

  • @dfjohn07 you are wrong. are you saying its just as easy for a 300 pound body builder like ronnie coleman to do pull ups as it is for a 150 pound dude? thats kind of stupid. the more you weigh the harder it is

  • @ExtremistPullup uve said pullups are easier for u than chinups

  • @rctriplefresh5

since I do them more with some training I can catchup

  • @commentwarstarter K put up a video of you coming even close to that you bitch..he can pull his legs up or wiggle if he wants when hes using ONE hand.

  • the guys saying only pusssies use legs for help right, but u cant even do one if u used legs for help... goodfight bitch.

  • Impressive!!!! KEEP IT UP!

  • good work man, I think I'm going to have some fun with weighted pull ups today instead of what I was planing

  • @nQBBE

    nQBBE - Uploads (0)

    you were saying?

  • @ExtremistPullup LOL! GOT EM!

  • @ExtremistPullup even if is a pussie , he is using his own body for help not people or something, ne type of work out helps in gain , so basically he keeps doin it , hell b able to do it with out using his legs evenutally , ur just mad cause ur belly is to big to see ur dick , so ur mad at everyone dat shows profress , ne ways good job extrem, u did it with ur hand facing out dats strength!!

  • No one cares who you are or what you think until you post a better video.

  • @nQBBE Actually, most of the people i see doing the one-arms usually do have some kind of kick, howsoever great or small. Also, I noticed that punks usually love to throw rocks at anyone really acheiving something, such as what he has. On the other hand, the people actually training really hard usually have something constructive to say.

  • @nQBBE at 190lb this is impressive no matter how much leg assistance

  • @nQBBE i wanna see you :D

  • sounds like you should work on your BF%..... then form, but great strength!

  • BA! I can't keep my body from turning when I try these. Respect!

  • Man you are a Beast!!!! Your fickin forearm are like legs....lol

  • nice work guy

  • I done ten of these the other day, then i woke up in a puddle of sweat from the amazing dream

  • thats impressive!

  • nice

  • I can tell this guy is the real deal. just look at his arm.

  • I thought I could do these then I realised I was dreaming.

  • cool. never tried that. I think I will

  • nice. are you a gymnast?

  • Awesome.

  • i used to be able to do 10 of those reverse grip in highschool on each arm at 185lbs then i gained like 25lbs and have trouble doing them with both arms now haha

  • well done. Im quite good at pull ups but failed to do it one-armed so far

  • nice and it was full arm extensions making it much harder keep it up

  • This guy weights 86 kilograms, it's really impressive for his weight. I weight about the same but still haven't got this.

  • I'm working toward the one-arm pullup myself; your video is one of the few I've seen with good form and a minimum of extraneous body movement. Good job!

  • @ManoMan1117

    What u on about?

  • dam nigga u brolic

  • I looked up pull ups on wikipedia and you were on there.

  • thats super kool. NOTE: these pullups not chins!

  • what training methods wud u recommend for this?
