This is a good version but check out the Byrds live at The Royal Albert Hall version Clarence White tears it up! No offense to Mike Cambell who is also one of my favourite guitar pickers but Clarence rules mate.
Thanks for loading...it's a good, live version and a nice homage to the Byrds. Though it was written by Roger McGuinn and Jaques Levy, you can hear Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower" in it...nice.
Very cool insight! McGuinns lyrics to this song and musical additions make this an absolute period CLASSIC, dark, brooding, and profound with the foreboding of 8 Miles High well preserved..
This is better than the original? This is great...but search "Lover of the Bayou" and take a listen to the Byrds. Mudrutch is so obviously influenced by the late Byrds, in a good way, but they can't match the Byrds. Not in a thousand years.
No offense, but they managed to do exactly what they did with Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well". They both sounded ten times better than the originals! Way to go, Tom!
This is a fantastic song. Maybe this will turn more people on to my beloved Byrds. I am looking forward to the release of the Mudcrutch lp/cd/mp3 as well. Thanks for posting!
Great cover of one of the Byrds' finest live songs. It looks like Mike Campbell is playing a B-Bender like the legendary Clarence White did on the original. The song was written by Roger McGuinn and Jacques Levy.
Hey, my buddy Mr. Dudley Do Right! Usually it takes something funny to activate my sense of humor. Something funny is what your lacking. Why don't you go give out parking tickets or something Dudley
Well, not so much his "job", but the Constitution, adn his oath of office, yeah. You get three points for being above the average American in perception.
Work on that sense of humor though... it needs refinement.
Is it really hurting anything? Its a plus for me, I read an article and wanted to see footage. And thanks to this man RISKING HIS TICKET, just to get a little footage to remeber the show... well done. And Was there an open taping policy at the show.. Audio but No Video I assume... Well You could take almost all the videos off youtube, that you werent suppose to tape at...
Something tells me Mudcrutch doesn't mind this kind of publicity. And I am thrilled to have this snippet of an incredibly memorable show to watch when I need a quick pick me up. I am still on Cloud Nine after these shows and can't wait to see what others were able to catch on video!
Thanks, man! It's great to still be getting props on this after 3 1/2 years! Glad you enjoyed it.

Half of these Califaggot nit-wits probably never heard this song before. And the Byrds were mostly Califaggots.

Wow. Can't wait for the album to come out. I'm glad I got tickets to see the Heartbreakers in July too.

Saw them last nite in Santa Barbara. This song was the best.
Mike Campbell really tore it up and they all had the tightest jam on this. Hope they continue.
I seriously doubt if anyone cares about a U tube recording of this either, Petty included. He is waaayyy past that in his career.
Nice work getting this and posting.

The guy who took this video is clearly violating the provisions of his ticket. This sort of thing has got to be stopped!
