  • Thanks, man! It's great to still be getting props on this after 3 1/2 years! Glad you enjoyed it.

  • Wonderful version , many thanks for posting +++++ peace

  • Half of these Califaggot nit-wits probably never heard this song before. And the Byrds were mostly Califaggots.

  • YOU forgot about fishing with them

  • This is a good version but check out the Byrds live at The Royal Albert Hall version Clarence White tears it up! No offense to Mike Cambell who is also one of my favourite guitar pickers but Clarence rules mate.

  • Yes!!!

  • best thing about this version is campbell

  • upload the whole show on dime...

  • Thanks for loading...it's a good, live version and a nice homage to the Byrds. Though it was written by Roger McGuinn and Jaques Levy, you can hear Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower" in it...nice.

  • It's the same 3 chords as "All Along The Watchtower".

  • Actually 4 chords. Am G F Esus

  • Very cool insight! McGuinns lyrics to this song and musical additions make this an absolute period CLASSIC, dark, brooding, and profound with the foreboding of 8 Miles High well preserved..

  • This is better than the original? This is great...but search "Lover of the Bayou" and take a listen to the Byrds. Mudrutch is so obviously influenced by the late Byrds, in a good way, but they can't match the Byrds. Not in a thousand years.

  • tom leadon rips on that first solo, and then here comes mike campbell... reminds me of drive by truckers! long live the south!!!

  • It just seems so weird seeing TP playing bass. I got used to him over the years playing guitar...

  • No offense, but they managed to do exactly what they did with Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well". They both sounded ten times better than the originals! Way to go, Tom!

  • The best Mudcrutch song was don't do me like that.

  • Mirrormanext, you ROCK ! This is a FABULOUS video! You're the MAN ! :)

  • This is a fantastic song. Maybe this will turn more people on to my beloved Byrds. I am looking forward to the release of the Mudcrutch lp/cd/mp3 as well. Thanks for posting!

  • WISH i WAS right behind you. When you captured this vid of MUDCRUCTH...Nice VID...Like it A-LOT...29th buy it and support...

  • Man, nice job on the recording. You got some great close-ups. Mike Campbell's got some serious chops.

  • Great cover of one of the Byrds' finest live songs. It looks like Mike Campbell is playing a B-Bender like the legendary Clarence White did on the original. The song was written by Roger McGuinn and Jacques Levy.

  • Wow. Can't wait for the album to come out. I'm glad I got tickets to see the Heartbreakers in July too.

  • Saw them last nite in Santa Barbara. This song was the best.

Mike Campbell really tore it up and they all had the tightest jam on this. Hope they continue.

I seriously doubt if anyone cares about a U tube recording of this either, Petty included. He is waaayyy past that in his career.

Nice work getting this and posting.

  • this is a great song- just heard it for the first time now. I can't wait until the new cd comes out at the end of april

  • Is that Bob Dylan with blonde hair? What is Tom's style morphing to?

  • please play the east coast

  • Shut up Dad. Some people will never be able to see Mudcrutch so give everybody a break will you. Go be a cop or something Mr. Dudley do Right

  • Dude: Rush to the hospital, ask for a neurosurgeon, and have your sense of humor re-installed. Don't wait, this is clearly an emergency!

  • Hey, my buddy Mr. Dudley Do Right! Usually it takes something funny to activate my sense of humor. Something funny is what your lacking. Why don't you go give out parking tickets or something Dudley

  • You voted for Bush, right?

  • No, but he's cleary violating the provisions of his job. He's gotta be stopped!

  • Well, not so much his "job", but the Constitution, adn his oath of office, yeah. You get three points for being above the average American in perception.

Work on that sense of humor though... it needs refinement.

  • Am I gonna have to separate you two?

  • Is it really hurting anything? Its a plus for me, I read an article and wanted to see footage. And thanks to this man RISKING HIS TICKET, just to get a little footage to remeber the show... well done. And Was there an open taping policy at the show.. Audio but No Video I assume... Well You could take almost all the videos off youtube, that you werent suppose to tape at...

  • Another guy without a sense of humor.

Man, this country is in worse shape than I thought!

  • Just sayin'

  • Did you know that "gullible" isn't in the dictionary?

  • Something tells me Mudcrutch doesn't mind this kind of publicity. And I am thrilled to have this snippet of an incredibly memorable show to watch when I need a quick pick me up. I am still on Cloud Nine after these shows and can't wait to see what others were able to catch on video!

  • The other videos suck! Mirrorman is _the_man!

  • These guys freaking ROCK!!!!

  • Sweet! More-more-more!!!!!! Do you have the entire show? Put it up on a torrent site somewhere please!!!

  • Sorry, man...I only have the two that I posted. It was too hard to rock out and film at the same time!

  • LOL!!!.....
