Ich kriege immer Gänsehaut in dem Moment, wo der Pilot im Scheitelpunkt der Kurve wieder aufs Gas steigt. Der Sound ist dabei einfach fantastisch. GT5 ist leider Lichtjahre davon entfernt.
by the way guys if u love the c9 or c11 then watch how beautiful the c292 looks like.. that would have been a monster but there are almost no pictures or videos of it..
Because FIA screwed up the rules (in 1991-1992, with the 3.5L "F1" engine format), tried to lure manufacturers to F1 but failed at that too and then had no interest to save the championship.
There were probably some other issues too, like not good enough tv coverage etc, but the engine concept change was the biggest factor. from 1991's amazing grids to barely 10-car grids in 1992... only Peugeot and Toyota left, all turbo Porsches gone and to 6-race calendar after cancellation of races.
not that well educated :) I think the regulations were first pretty much same, but most importantly IMSA did not have fuel limits. and because of different kind of tracks (and no Le Mans) the cars were made to produce more downforce. e,g, Nissan raced competely different models in World Sportscar Championship and IMSA. also IMSA had some kind of performance balancing (weights) system while WSC/Group C rules had no limits on engine regulations (other than amount of fuel per race).
If I remember rightly, IMSA also limited turbocharging and had some different chassis regulations so that Porsche had to build the original 962 which had only a single turbo. It also had a longer chassis with the driver's feet behind the front axle.
thats exactly the point and the worst thing even is they did comparable shit to f1 this year.-now look what they look like this year i mean thats not really great watching those ugly , downgrated cars racing i mean where are those 950hp monsters that we (or at least I) loved to see racing
That sound from the C11 is so counter intuitive (I like it)! For as long as I've observed IMSA GTP, that sound would be rather familiar coming from say a Mercury Cougar or Mustang GTS...maybe a Spice GTP. But it sounds so at odds with what you THINK the C11 should sound like, it's rather amusing! I must admit this is the first time I've heard it, Group C simply wasn't aired over here. What a shame.

Love that 5 litre V8 sound, why is Group C no longer with us because the LMP open-tops of now look and sound shit compared to this C11.

I agree wholeheartedly. If you close your eyes you would think you're listening to a NASCAR race. But it's such a brillant car.

Not the best, I would say that comes from a 787B ;)
Davidovar34 1 year ago
@Davidovar34 The 787B is OK, but it does sound rather harsh like it's been constantly over revved.
