I've been on one of these before, it's very easy to go the entire thing without braking, but considering he wanted to actually get agood video and was holding his phone i don't blame him for using the brakes.

@SuicideHotline123 Finally a good comment! I death gripped my new at the time iphone 4, over fear of digging thru a hatian jungle, and yes i wanted to take a video that was somewhat watchable. If i ever go back im goin balls to the wall with my new go pro strapped to my head!

I believe its a soft netting, I wouldn't be too concerned, being it was installed Royal Caribbean I'm sure they called in the same contractor who installed the ones in park city Utah and around the rest of the world.

@AirsoftAttack231 As you can tell from my other videos ill do anything for a thrill, however this ride cost as much as going to a amusement park so I wanted to enjoy the ride not the thrill. Not to mention the morning rain which dropped the ride to a one person limit. So brakes it was, and DEATHGRIPPING my iphone lol (which i did even more over the water on the zipline), the thought of dying in a haitian hospital also makes one slow down when doing any activity!

Look up the Alpine Coaster in Imst, Austria. It's the longest in the world and makes this one look really short.

@gutturtle thats funny...! it was raining and they limited us to one per car instead of the normal 2. and i didnt want to let it get out of control. it seems a lot faster when your sitting on it
